Hello lovely losers!

Welcome to the January edition of "lose 7lbs or 3kgs a month" link to previous thread is here

All are welcome here, oldies, newbies, lurkers and watchers. There is a huge range of starting weights and weight loss methods.

All I ask for is the same positivity and support that we have seen on every thread so far.

My stats are:
Starting weight: 18.13
Jan target: 18.6
Loss for December: maintained
Loss so far: 6 stone 5lbs

I'll be following 16:8 and WW purple plan.

Let's get ready to smash January! (As soon as the cheese and trifles have gone 😂)

Will update later on how it tastes!

I actually lost something. 0.1kg Grin

Onesmallstep67 · 26/01/2020 10:40

I'm down to 15st 5lbs this morning but that may not last. Didn't eat very much yesterday and then went out and got very drunk. Things have gone a bit awry with new (ish) man and it's making me feel very unsettled/distracted . Got an ache in the pit of my stomach and it's not a nice feeling. Hopefully it'll pass.

Egghead68 · 26/01/2020 12:58

Oh no @Onesmallstep67. I’m sorry to hear that. I hope it can be sorted out.

dontknowdontknow · 26/01/2020 12:59

Following for the February thread!

Egghead68 · 26/01/2020 13:00

Some great losses and non-gains and odd mother-in-laws.

JessJonesJumps · 26/01/2020 14:29

Onesmall sorry to hear about the problems with new man. Flowers

Down 0.2lbs this morning which, considering I ate everything yesterday including ice cream and had a G&T, is much better than I expected.

Tryingtwo · 26/01/2020 15:25

Afternoon all, quick check in - down 0.2lbs today so 2lbs since Wednesday.
Waves to @AdventureTravelDreamer, I don't want to nag, but it would be nice to hear from you Smile

Egghead68 · 26/01/2020 18:57

Finishing the day on 1550 calories and no exercise so will probably be a maintain day.

ValentineFizz · 26/01/2020 19:01

Some great losses and non-gains and odd mother-in-laws.

Definitely this!! Official weigh day today and showing another 2lb off this week, I'm so happy with that as it's time of the month so didn't think I'd shift much. That's me at 6lb down total since starting on the 6th January, so hoping to hit 7lb target by end of the month :-)

Onesmallstep67 · 26/01/2020 20:07

Thank you @JessJonesJumps and @Egghead68. Thankfully new man has been in touch and offered an explanation. I won't clog up the thread with anymore than that but I do appreciate your reaching out to me. Smile
Upside of this is that I haven't eaten lots over the weekend but thankfully the anxiety ache in my stomach has pretty much gone. Hoping to see 15 5 again on the scales again in the morning.
KOKO

JessJonesJumps · 26/01/2020 22:15

Glad to hear the anxiety ache is gone. I find my appetite is definitely affected by my emotional state and my sleeping pattern.

I've been ok today. I haven't eaten too much. I did 20 mins exercise and probably about another hour stomping about because DS and DH were being very irritating today. Thankfully they have both gone to bed now Grin

DownUdderer · 27/01/2020 01:57

Hi. Some MIL are awful! Congrats to everyone inline to reach goals for the month. I’ve been looking at my numbers and I’m 4lb down from the beginning of Jan! Horay! However I got 2lb on between Christmas and New Years! So I’m really just 2lb down! I’m happy either way! I’ve been on my weight app and deleted all the times my weight went up instead of down during Jan and the graph looks much better!! Haha!

School is back on Wednesday, today is a public holiday. And I’m Friday I’m child free because DS is in preschool that day! I cannot wait! I like to go hiking on my free days and I cannot wait. I’m going for a bush walk.

JontyDoggle37 · 27/01/2020 05:28

Morning all, 1lb down today to 12st 3.7. Got back into the mindset properly yesterday, didn’t calorie count, was just very mindful about what I ate, but also wasn’t so restrictive I felt miserable. Cold felt better yesterday, and I should have had a good nights sleep as I went to bed early but I woke up at 2amto find DH had flung the bloody window wide open so I was laid right in a freezing cold draught and now this morning I don’t feel as good, which is a pain as I have a truly hefty week coming up. I always open the window a little bit, but have the curtains cross to deflect a direct draught, he decided to fully open open the window and pull the curtain back so he could ‘feel the breeze’. He will definitely be getting the grumpy side of me this morning...😡

Egghead68 · 27/01/2020 07:06

Morning. 64.5kg. Loads to get done at work this morning before a deadline this afternoon. I’d usually stress-eat a bag of Colin the Caterpillars but must avoid.

Hope everyone’s Monday is OK. KOKO.

Egghead68 · 27/01/2020 07:08

Going for a bush-walk sounds so cool!

Egghead68 · 27/01/2020 07:08

And I sound so old using the word cool!

Egghead68 · 27/01/2020 07:14

Ooh now I am 64.1kg which is the lowest this month. I don’t want to get my hopes up that I am finally losing. I’ll probably be back up tomorrow.

cricketmum84 · 27/01/2020 07:19

Morning all! I can't believe we are on day 27 already! Weight still the flipping same this morning which is ultra frustrating!! Only 1lb down for the whole of January. February is definitely going to be a better month.

Plan for today is:
B - alpro yoghurt and 20g maple granola (3 points)
L - beetroot soup - 0 points
D - mixed pepper jalfrezi and brown rice with toasted pitta and alpro yoghurt and mint raita (7 points)

Snacks - satsumas and plums

@DownUdderer I bet it feels amazing being able to get out for a bush walk! I presume the fires have settled by you now?

@Egghead68 same here. I've got a bowl of satsumas on the coffee table instead. Thankfully wfh today so I can get everything done with no distractions!

@JontyDoggle37 feel the breeze??? It's about 1.5 degrees!! Brrrrr!

@Onesmallstep67 I had forgotten how stressful new relationships can be! Glad you are feeling less anxious though.

@ValentineFizz great result so far!!

I've found you all! I haven't been following 16:8 at all for the last few weeks (stressful time at work and with some school issues for DC) and the thread dropped off threads I'm on. Finally weighed this morning expecting some damage but amazingly am still 12.0. Back on it today! I feel like I'm really towards the end of the process though and should start thinking about maintenance rather than losing any more.

Ihatesundays · 27/01/2020 07:39

Kept my massive 0.1kg weight loss off and I am still 70.5kg. Usually I fluctuate but I seem very steady at the moment.

peachgreen · 27/01/2020 08:05

I somehow managed to put on 3.5lbs over the weekend and now I hate myself. Humph.

recklessgran · 27/01/2020 08:14

Morning all.Today is my weigh day.
Last week 13st 6.25lbs
Today 13st 3.75 lbs
So, thank you all so much! I've done it - I've actually lost a stone in the last four weeks and it's all down to the support and accountability I've found here on this thread. Couldn't have stayed on track without you lot - what a great bunch. Obviously I know a lot of that weight will be water but hoping now I've made a good start I can stay on the wagon and manage the half a stone a month going forward. Hoping to lose another 2 stone so a long way to go yet.
@JontyDoggle37 there's still room under my patio -would you like me to start digging?

cricketmum84 · 27/01/2020 08:20

@recklessgran 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

A-MA-ZING!
