It’s that time of year when we all start thinking about going on a diet. Anyone on my fitness pal who wants to make some friends for motivation?

Yes, I do. Haven't done it for ages, but it does help. I have forgotten my password and need to reset it. How do you add friends?

G3m81 · 30/12/2018 23:17

When you open the app there’s three dots in the bottom right corner and it says more. Once you click on that there’s an option called friends, press it and you can add them if you know their username or through Facebook

Thank you G3m81 for adding me. I've sent a friend request to someone who is hopefully AFridgeTooFar

I weighed myself this morning for the first time in months and I am very overweight (to the point where it's a miracle my health has not yet been affected). My eventual goal is to get my BMI down to 30. This may take some time.

fezzesarecool · 02/01/2019 16:14

Hiya, I’ve pmed if you want to add me

SocksRock · 02/01/2019 16:21

My username is mysk_girl if anyone wants extras - I've lost 2.5 stone in 2018, and need to lose the same again this year, so it's ON

mfpsamzy133 · 02/01/2019 17:10

Mine is samzy_133

Kicked MFP into order, it kept reimporting the same activity over and over again. I did not cycle for 13 hours today...

SocksRock · 02/01/2019 18:29

Also, blood donation is listed under cardio exercise 👌 walked there and back as well to get the steps in...

TheGirlWhoLived · 02/01/2019 19:00

I need some friends! It's only me on mfp so its getting a bit lonesome Grin

I'm ArianaDumbledore

TheGirlWhoLived · 02/01/2019 19:04

fezzesarecool · 02/01/2019 19:05

Bringbackthestrioes · 02/01/2019 19:09

If my total calorie intake was green instead of red I would friend Blush
MFP thinks I need 1200 Cals per day to drop weight. How the hell does anyone manage that? Any tips?
I was +250 yesterday & +350 today thanks to a ‘healthy’ homemade veg smoothie.
Any tips for FILLING low cal stuff? I’m starving!

TheGirlWhoLived · 02/01/2019 19:13

I manage that usually by changing the goal manually! I'm going to aim for 1200 basic, but then eat my fitbit calories, or my fitbit - depending on how hungry I get

TheGirlWhoLived · 02/01/2019 19:14

well done socks - I can't give blood anymore, too anaemic but I used to do it regularly! I'm B+ so they got a bit greedy for my blood a couple of years back and I was giving every 5 weeks!

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 02/01/2019 19:16

My username on MFP is Chocciebunbuns (I was clearly hungry when I signed up) Wink

I'm on a restart from today Smile I lost a fair bit over the last couple of years but I've slipped back in the last few months.

TheGirlWhoLived · 02/01/2019 19:16

Why can't I see anyones food diary? I wanted to see what everyone was eating for their 1200 kcal , is that super nosy??

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 02/01/2019 19:31

I've just changed my settings, so you should be able to see mine now (it's not that inspiring though - there's always crisps lol) Wink

TheFirstOHN · 02/01/2019 20:15

Because I'm quite big (over 100kg) it's given me a daily target of staying under 1900kcal. Even that has not been easy.

I have been overeating for a long time and it has become habitual; I'm hoping that keeping a food diary will help to retrain me to eat "normally".

TheGirlWhoLived · 02/01/2019 20:15

Sometimes I get through 4 packs of crisps before breakfast, but I still dutifully write them down Grin thanks! Also inspired by the waffle with roast dinner, a lot easier than making roasties!

BearsDontDigOnDancing · 02/01/2019 21:38

Hey, I have added those who put their usernames on the thread.

I am Samjbooksy on MFP .
