We’re a very friendly, supportive group, and all at different stages, but we’re all seeing some real changes in ourselves and our attitudes to food. It’s a long old road, but it helps to chat along the way

Collectively, we’ve lost an incredible…......... 🌟 1205.75lbs 🌟 since the start of the first thread in Dec 16, which is amazing!

We tend to weigh in on Fridays or Saturdays, but feel free to join in at any time, with whatever weight loss method you think works best for you. Some of us have lost more than others, but we're all in this together, so if you're losing, gaining or staying the same, it's nice to have some inspiration to keep going.

We’re always welcoming to newcomers, but as with the previous thread(s), I’ll add one caveat - we’re all here because we are trying to lose a LOT of weight. If you’re looking to lose the last half stone, or even two or three stone, this might not be the thread for you. Good luck with your goals, but you may find more support with in threads with people who have similar goals to you.

You look fantastic, Fezzes (totally said in a 9's voiceTardis). Maybe loose the trainers for the wedding though 😂 . You are going to get so many compliments at the wedding.

CantankerousCamel · 07/09/2018 19:12

Hi! When I’ve lost another 9lbs I will have lost 3 stone this year and have another 7 to go.

I am currently doing the joe wicks style of dieting so I am mostly keto with a lil bit of carbs maybe once a day.

For exercise I walk 40 mins x twice a day, six days a week, I do CrossFit 3/4 or 5 days a eeek and I am a sports massage therapist. So I hve a very physical job.

I’m looking to lose 3lbs a week. I don’t have the opportunity to weight myself at home so I do so at my clients house. I’m there on a Sunday and Thursday

fezzesarecool · 07/09/2018 19:34

strawberrypig Thanks, lol yeah got shoes but I’ll have a pair of flats ready to put on!

honeysucklejasmine · 07/09/2018 20:58

Fezzes you look amazing! That dress is lush, a million times better than that purple one. Where is it from?

Hi Camel! Amazing achievement, well done!

PostNotInHaste · 08/09/2018 08:40

Moonlight that’s rough you poor thing FlowersFlowersFlowers

Fezzes absolute result on the dress!! Well done on the weight loss this week too.

Moocow good loss. CantankerousCamel that is an excellent loss for this year and I love your username.

Incredibly bloody hormonal here and think I am having first period post embolisation so will be interesting to see how it is. I nearly cried when DS didn’t want me to bring the heater down for the hall outside his room as thought it would mean DH and I would be cold. Was incandescent with rage in Aldi when people behind started putting things on conveyor belt before we’d unloaded trolley but kept a lid on it and channeled rage into packing which was done in record time and poor cashier was having things snatched out of her hand. Let’s just say I have a line to be drawn this morning on the food front, but feel it might end up being on Monday and am hopeful my hormones go onto a more even keel soon for everyone’s sake Grin

MagicKeysToAsda · 08/09/2018 09:03

Get well soon Moonlight! Very well done to all losers, and great dress Fezzes. Extra well done to Post for not murdering anyone in the supermarket Grin

1lb off for me this week, which is fantastic since was on hol last weekend and there were chips, and bread, and very little restraint! Had a wonderful run by the sea though, it was just so beautiful. Had a good run last night lasting 38 mins - unfortunately strava got lost in the middle so I don't know how far I went! Been fiddling with the strava settings as advised in their help topic to try and improve it. What do other people use to track run/walk distance, if you do?

moonlight1705 · 08/09/2018 09:18

Thanks all, feeling a bit sorry for myself as DH has given me a cold as well....grrrrrrr. Honey shouldn't affect baby at all which is good news.

fezze the dress looks lovely in you, perfect colours.

post well done for not giving into the rage Smile hormones are funny things but you are doing so well.

mooncow great loss and that ice cream sounds lovely!

Anyway STS again this week which is goid in my books.

honeysucklejasmine: What do you do now, fate?

Im a SAHM now. Not because my DH earns a good wage (he doesnt). But because we decided that we were happier on a lower income bit with more time. Our children are 13, 12, 9 and 3. I taught full time through having DC1 and DC2 but handed my notice in soon after my maternity leave from DC2. So I've been out of the classroom for over 10 years now.

What do other people use to track run/walk distance, if you do?

I use the fitbit app. I have Strava too, but only use that to work out routes beforehand. The fitbit doesn't have that facility and if I want to run 10k, I like to be able to plan routes to a set distance beforehand.

I currently have the Fitbit Charge 2 and love, love, LOVE it. The Charge 3 is due to be released in the next few weeks. I am hoping it's a Black Friday deal somewhere, because I'd quite like it for Christmas.

Weighed myself yesterday. I not only (finally!) got to 7 stone weight loss, but my total weight loss is now 99.5lb - Half a pound off 100lb!!!

Problem is - I then had two s'mores over the BBQ with the kids after school. 🙈 They were yummy though, and we enjoyed all toasting marshmallows together, so well worth it even if I now have a bit more than half a pound to go to 100lb.

honeysucklejasmine · 08/09/2018 09:54

Fezzes I'm a SAHM too. Also of the "really poor" variety rather than the "ladies who lunch" type. Congratulations on the 7 stone! Huge achievement. I am aiming for 5 stone tomorrow morning. Will then have two more to go but might review my target down if I get there.

I'm also going to (reluctantly) reset my mfp target to account for my new weight.

I use Strava but it is annoying when it fails. Or tells blatant lies. When I go out with the kids it seems to struggle with the start-stop nature of waking with a toddler.

CantankerousCamel · 08/09/2018 11:04

I’ve put 85kgs into MFP.

I don’t religiously follow it but I do use it just to keep an eye on the food I eat. Problem is CrossFit is so varied there is no setting for it in MFP but I had a look down the list on Friday and ‘vigorous circuit training’ probably covers it. I can put my weights in too which is cool just to see how much I’m improving in what I lift.

Today I have to incinerate a pile of wood in the garden, help DH build a wood shed along with my usual duties.

So much for a rest day!

moocowmrs · 08/09/2018 13:01

What’s everyone having for lunch 🥗?

Have have made some mackerel pate with low fat Creme freache but am need of inspiration that are not bread as it’s high in Cal !

CantankerousCamel · 08/09/2018 13:27

Omelette with bacon, pepper and mozzarella.

Got to love keto Grin

honeysucklejasmine · 08/09/2018 13:57

I had baked sweet potato with tuna and salad.

OP posts:
moonlight1705 · 08/09/2018 14:18

Leek and potato soup with creme fraiche and a bit of cheese.

MagicKeysToAsda · 08/09/2018 15:22

just finished making a batch of leek and potato soup here too - great minds Smile Also a batch of carrot and butternut squash, so all set up for the week now. Lunch was beef stew, rice and green beans. Even DD had seconds, it was a good one!

strawberrypig · 08/09/2018 17:57

I STS this week, which is a result as I went out for a meal to a local pizzeria and ate a lot Blush I was expecting a lot more on as I have had a cystitis flare up, only my second in my life. I am thinking it may be to do with the aforementioned pizza? I have only eaten bread/ dough a handful of times the past three months and each time with horrible results.

alwaysontimeneverlate · 08/09/2018 18:01

I've managed to resist a cream cake today, am very impressed with myself.

And my 'd'h knob head want me to make him proper chip pan chips ☹️ I love him really!
