Hello,
I was wondering how much weight u fellow vlcd people have lost in the space of 10 weeks. I am planning to attend a friends wedding in 10 weeks and am attempting to loose weight. I am abit 5 stone overweight so i am desperate to loose some weight using exante till the wedding.
Looking forward to hearing your success stories.

I think that’s only if you have lots of them, I remember from Cambridge they limit you but I just mean now and again, for emergencies. Dh is a shift worker so needs to be eating at weird times.

NoCanoe · 21/04/2018 14:06

Think I'll get some bars for my bag. Or just for an occasional change. But good warning not to have 3 a day all week! Wink

cardoon · 21/04/2018 16:08

I like the hot cross bun and the caramel crunch the best

GaryBaldyBiscuit · 21/04/2018 16:50

I’m doing ok but my husband brought a curry home last night because he forgot and a couple of neighbours are having bbq’s so I’m feeling pretty sorry for myself!
But I’m doing ok really, just about to have my last shake as I’m starving and I’ll go to bed early once the kids are down to ward off any hunger pangs. Well done everyone for sticking to it!

NoCanoe · 21/04/2018 17:29

Well done to you @Gary!!
Have to say Ive been in grumpy mood since last night. Hoping it gets easier....

Just having a strawberry and banana shake. Better than I thought it would be. Smile

Today has been so hard but i have been trying to drink more water than earlier this week and being busy helps with keeping me distracted.

A couple of tips I’ve picked up along the way having done this multiple times Blush If anyone has more advice, I’m sure everyone will love to hear it.

  1. Make sure you have a decent blender.
  2. Play around with the amount of water you mix it with to suit your tastes.
  3. Try adding a few cubes of ice, it thickens it and makes it lovely and cool.
  4. Mix flavours (half and half) to keep things interesting.
  5. Drink it in different glasses/straws etc to make it feel different and not the same bleedy thing three times a day. Good luck!
GaryBaldyBiscuit · 21/04/2018 18:31

Thanks Canoe! I get you on the feeling grumpy thing, I feel I could rip someone’s head off in a minute, probably another good reason for going to bed early Blush
Good tips Georgie!
My tips are drink lots of water it really helps
and if you’re tempted by ‘real’ food eat a bar or have a shake, even if it’s not the right time or you have an extra one that day as it will fill you up and any extra calories from that will be much better than the crisps/pasta/cake you’re being tempted by!

NoCanoe · 21/04/2018 20:07

Good hints and tips @Georgie and @Gary!
I'll definitely be needing them. Hmm

Its only my second day and Im already thinking...wtf did I sign up for? And who starts at the sodding weekend??Confused

And everyone is bluddy annoying me today!

Sigh.....early to bed here too, I think.

NoCanoe · 21/04/2018 20:25

I meant ...sign up to! (not for)
Its bluddy hard!

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 21/04/2018 20:27

Keep going nocanoe you can do it! Think how much better you’ll feel in the heat, that’s my driving force. I hate being fat in the heat.

I’m feeling really positive. Sure it’s hard, but however I do it it will be. I can’t wait for the good bit- ketosis!

NoCanoe · 21/04/2018 21:39

Ta@Georgie, I know why im doing it and yes, the summer heat plays a part !

For some reason the sight of DH with his strawberries and cream really got to me! Grin

Ive not given in. Ive reminded myself of my goal and Ive drank fizzy water. Halo

NoCanoe · 22/04/2018 13:35

How we all doing?

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 22/04/2018 14:02

Testing day today, we’re off to a family bbq

NoCanoe · 22/04/2018 14:49

Good luck @Georgie!!

You are braver than me. I nearly mugged the dog for his bonio biscuit!

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 22/04/2018 18:48

I survived! Had a shake before I went and just having a second one now. Will squeeze in my third before bed. Feeling great that my willpower stayed even though there was lots of yummy food.

How is everyone else doing?

NoCanoe · 22/04/2018 21:59

You deserve a medal@Georgie! My will power would have been in pieces! Youre a Star

Ive got through today. DH grumbling a bit though. He thinks it very anti social of me just to be slurping shakes. Sad

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 23/04/2018 06:24

Day 4 here I come!

Thanks Nocanoe, it helps that I’m not feeling hungry and actually this morning is the first morning I’ve woken and not had a rumbling tummy.

How is everyone doing? Is it just nocanoe and me doing it now? Grin

GaryBaldyBiscuit · 23/04/2018 07:26

Wow! Well done for going to the bbq and sticking to it, I’m very impressed Halo for you.
I’m doing ok, day 4 here too and I’m feeling good this morning, had my breakfast shake and am going to have a shake at work for lunch and a bar once the kids are down but not feeling hungry at all this morning so woohoo hopefully in ketosis! Hope everyone has a good day today!

NoCanoe · 23/04/2018 10:54

Day 4 here too!

Not feeling quite so grumpy. Progress!! Grin

GaryBaldyBiscuit · 23/04/2018 11:45

Work sandwich van was just here so I’ve had my shake already, I was so tempted even though I’m not hungry I just want to eat Confused my brains needs reprogramming or an upgrade or something!

Cabawill · 23/04/2018 13:19

I'm still here! Did have a mess up over the weekend but back to it this morning though. 👍🏼

Buxtonstill · 23/04/2018 15:01

8lbs in 2 weeks so far with Exante! I love the bars, especially the Hot Cross Bun flavour. if you are just about to order bars, you can pick 42 for £35 if you use the code 2WEEKPICK. reduces the price from £2.20 to about 80p a bar.

NoCanoe · 23/04/2018 15:27

'@cabawill' - minor slip ups to be expected here and there. Wink The good news is you got back in the saddle today. Star

'@Buxtonstill' - great loss!! And thanks for the bar news. Im off to order a selection......Grin

Ive just discovered the advice that every 4th week you add real food into plan, between 200-600 of high ptotein low carb items. Has anyone tried that?

NoCanoe · 23/04/2018 20:57

Its all gone quiet.....are we all doing ok?
