Not wishing to rub it in Nocanoe but I’ve been again today too!

Welcome to all the newbies. Sorry just a quick check in tonight as I’m on a course.

All going welcome though, Day 5 nearly done and still 100% 👍

2under2survivor · 24/04/2018 19:32

cardoon wish I'd seen your post earlier! Reminded me of school dinners... yuck. The carbonara was pretty tasty though, will definitely get that again.

NoCanoe · 24/04/2018 21:03

Hi everyone! Ive got through my day 5 but....still no pooping! Im sure you all wanted to know that! Wink

Great loss @alwayscommuting! Star

2under2survivor · 25/04/2018 06:29

Oh dear NoCanoe... hope today is the day!

Best of luck today everyone. I felt terrible last night - very cold, almost like the beginnings of flu, also very thirsty during the night which is funny because I drank 4l of water during the day. Anyway, I feel normal-ish this morning. I had planned to try to wait until 12pm to do my first meal of the day but my almost 1 year old slept terribly and I eventually got up for the day with him at 4. Not sure I can last 8 hours without food, but I'll try my best. Looking forward to trying the pancakes.

cardoon · 25/04/2018 07:18

Sounds like you're going into ketosis and are suffering from carb flu

Try drinking stock/marmite to replace the salts that get flushed out by drinking more water

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 25/04/2018 07:34

I didn’t feel like my third shake yesterday so wonder if that will affect anything.

All going well though and sounds like everyone is doing amazingly, Day 6 here we come!

NoCanoe · 25/04/2018 07:38

I had a poonami experience in the middle of the night! Luckily, I was up!Hmm

TheDeuteragonist · 25/04/2018 07:48

I'm on week 3 of Slim and Save.

I am doing it for 12 weeks up to my hen do and then back on it for the run up to the wedding.

So far I've lost 1st 1lbs. I've done it before and lost 4 stone in 4 months for my sister's wedding but sadly put half of it back on.

I was miserable the weekend just gone with the sun but it was worth it for the 5lb loss in week 2.

I'm terrible for weighing myself every day but I found it keeps me good and motivates me to drink more water, especially if the scales don't seem to be moving!

I have a planned break for the upcoming bank holiday weekend, just the Saturday, but going to stay relatively low carb to minimise the gain.

Sending motivation to all!

NoCanoe · 25/04/2018 08:04

Welcome aboard @TheDeuteragonist !
Youve lost a phenomeal amount in 3 weeks! Shock
Well done to you!

Im avoiding the scales. But its easy for me- the batteries are low! So need new ones come Friday, which is my weigh in day. Another Friday-er!!Grin

NoCanoe · 25/04/2018 08:09

Phenomenal!!

NoCanoe · 25/04/2018 08:10

Im clearly thinking of food.....and my next meal. Blush

ohsoslim · 25/04/2018 08:37

I'm starting extante on Monday
Ordered one of everything from the site- got 45% off came to £58!
Just noticed that If I had have ordered £2 more over £60 on first order would have got a free shaker!
Tried to cancel and reorder but no joy
Kicking myself!!! Is shaker good - I love a freebie - so well gutted!!

NoCanoe · 25/04/2018 08:57

@ohsoslim
Not had the experience of their free shaker , but had one similar. Gave up on it quickly!
Im currently using hand whisk in a wide topped measuring jug. Does the job!

GaryBaldyBiscuit · 25/04/2018 09:28

Oh I love the shaker because I’m a lazy mare! But you can pick them up cheaply enough online, I’ve even seen some in the £shop before.
Well done TheDeuteragonist 👍 nice to have a few people ahead of me to act as motivation of where I can be in a few weeks :)

NoCanoe · 25/04/2018 10:13

Anybody else having sleep problems?

I slept really well for first few days. Aka knackered!
But last 2 nights really struggling

Just me ? Or is it part of the process?

NoCanoe · 25/04/2018 10:27

And.......nooooooooo!!! Another event around the same time as the one im aiming for. More pressure!! Sad

GaryBaldyBiscuit · 25/04/2018 11:24

NoCanoe more pressure or...more motivation..? (Trying to put a positive spin on it) I’m sleeping really badly but quite often do :( so can’t blame exante for that, I was actually hoping the weight loss would improve my sleep 😴

2under2survivor · 25/04/2018 13:10

cardoon great tip re: the stock cube. Definitely feeling better again this afternoon.

Glad to see more people are joining us, and well done to everyone sticking with it.

The maple pancakes this morning were delicious and filling - I could happily eat those 3 times a day.

2under2survivor · 25/04/2018 17:00

How is everyone getting on today? I am finding the afternoon of day 2 tough... but I think it's more to do with the kids being little terrors today, and normally I would reach for the chocolate (and/or the wine) to cope, so I am without my crutch. Am so looking forward to becoming less hungry and a bit more indifferent about food. Should happen around day 4, right?

NoCanoe · 25/04/2018 18:03

@2under2 - day 4 was the change for me. I was noticeably less grumpy.

@GaryBaldy - good idea to see it as more motivation rather than more pressure. Its just I will be meeting up with people who have never seen me this overweight. I was hoping to get down to a more normal weight before I met up. Sad

NoCanoe · 25/04/2018 18:13

Ugh! I have just taken a bite of the double chocolate bar. The reviews gave the impression of a chocolate brownie.

This was more like biting into an oxo cube!
Taste and texture! Maybe just my taste buds going awry at the moment, but I literally heaved and yelled ' It tastes of beef!'

DH had a tentative nibble and handed it back saying, 'It does a bit....' Confused

GaryBaldyBiscuit · 25/04/2018 20:53

Day 3 to 4 is when I felt the change to not having that mad hunger too.

I stick with the rice crispy type bars, I can’t handle chewing the other type, makes me gag. I’m not rating the hot cross bun ones though, but then I don’t like real hot cross buns so I’m not sure why I thought they’d be good to try Confused

NoCanoe · 25/04/2018 23:01

Grin @GaryBaldy. That made me laugh.

2under2survivor · 26/04/2018 08:26

NoCanoe oh dear... at least you won't be tempted to binge on them which is what is holding me back from buying the bars (at least until I can control myself around food a bit better!)

Went to bed early last night, feeling a bit sorry for myself. But here we are, day 3. I stepped on the scale this morning and am down 4.8lbs, which is amazing. It means I am only 2lbs away from being in the 180s. But that's it, scales have been put away until official weight day (Tuesday). I seem to have some weird thing that happens whenever I see 189 on the scale, I go off the rails... it's like the 190s are my comfort zone. Anyway, not going to happen this time, I am so committed.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 26/04/2018 09:54

Feeling slightly depressed that 190s is your fat weight! I wish Blush
