My 10 pen from Medicine Marketplace is an old style one. Ordering a new one next week so we will see!

EnterSandfan · 18/07/2026 17:12

Thanks for the new thread!

I've been having an awful time lately due to a horrific family situation, and the stress has stopped me from eating much at all. It has caused me an insane whoosh this week of almost 9lbs!
So I'm now 13 stone 9 apparently, which is crazy! Think I was a teenager the last time I was in the 13's.
Oh and that means I've lost 102lbs, so I've joined the 100lb loss club!
My end goal is about 10 stone. Back when I was 20 stone (almost 21), 13 stone sounded so tiny and normal, but now I'm in the 13s, 10 still seems so far away somehow.
I'm wearing size 20 leggings today and a men's 2xl shirt, so my clothes still feel make me feel 'big' especially when folk at higher weights are in size 14s or 16s. Yet I have size 18 jeans that are baggy, it's so confusing! I think I need to go try some stuff on in shops.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 18/07/2026 19:59

Caught up with some of the other thread. Sorry to hear youre still unwell @thebroononeandthewhiteone

And @afaloren Hope you survived A and e and your mum is okay.

Its fun to see those who started same month as me waves. I'm 5ft5.5 so my bmi is around 26 at the moment. I don't think its helpful to compare but if people are do remember I also started ADHD medication over a year ago which has also helped in my case! It's not just been mj for me.

My focus the next few weeks needs to be movement and strength work. And I need to sleep. And find time to get life a bit more together....

Bizarrely I was more on movement and exercise and making aure I was getting variety of fruit and veg etc a year ago than I am now. But I have been working a lot more this last year.

Cat4324 · 19/07/2026 08:22

Hi all :) Weighing in today with a total loss of 20.3% of my body weight 🎉27.5kg gone which feels amazing. Hope everyone's doing OK, thanks for keeping me motivated and accountable!

eibbed999 · 19/07/2026 08:51

Hi all! Not been around for ages. I basically got so bored with myself and all my disasters I just couldn't face posting. I know I'm among friends and you wouldn't judge, but I guess I have enough judgement to go round!

Was going okay but then I had a few blissfully sunny days in Oxford with my daughter at the start of July, and apparently Mounjaro doesn't work in Oxford. Must be some kind of byelaw . I just thought sod it, I'll have a few days off. In fact it wasn't even I choice, I just realised as I was munching my way through an entire market full of food that I had zero suppression. It was like it literally switched off.

Since then it's been relentless. Constant takeaways, eating when I'm not hungry, in fact eating like I'm in some sort of reality TV show contest called The Biggest Glutton. So that's been fun! Jabbed early this week and went up half a dose too, in an attempt to course correct. Honestly, this is all pretty horrible. I feel worse about it all now than I did before the WLIs existed. I had a big dollop of self loathing for being so fat in the first place, but now I'm still fat, even though I'm taking the drugs that are supposed to help with that. And have done for me, for short periods of time. Good job I wasn't in any of their trials, I'd have totally skewed the data! I haven't weighed - not just because I'm scared of what I'll see, but because I've always weighed at least 3 times a week. Whatever I've been doing isn't working, so I'm trying something new. I can tell from the feel of my body and my clothes that I've gained at least a stone.

Glad you're feeling a bit better @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne, and thanks for the new thread @PositiveAttitude. Going to have a proper trawl through all your posts now to catch up!

TragicMuse · 19/07/2026 10:58

I’ve stayed the same this week which is not surprising - we’ve had my mum to visit and have been in a bit of a holiday-mood with drinks and fun stuff, even though I’ve been working! So I’m taking no gain as a win tbh!

Next week I’m working away at a festival from Wednesday, me and my crew usually have a great and sociable time, but it’s a lot of walking and being busy so I should be able to maintain. And last year, which was MJ year 1, I discovered the joy of the child’s portion at all the food vendors which is both cheaper and small enough to not be overwhelming or too filling and means no waste. That’s a big win on all accounts!

Either way I’m feeling ok about it. I don’t have a fixed target, I’m currently 11st 8lbs and in my head it’s somewhere between 11st and 10st. I think. I feel like I’ll know it when I’m there, so minimum 7-8lbs to go.

I think I want to be a definite and reliable 12 in most shops. That would be amazing!

AlicesMum2025 · 19/07/2026 11:41

Thanks for the new thread

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 19/07/2026 12:08

@Cat4324 wahoo well done 🎉

@TragicMuse we're in the same.place I think! Im also 11st 8 and need to be under 11 to be a healthy bmi. Not sure where I expect to end up - would love to be closer to 10 but where my weight loss has slowed getting to 'under 11' would be amazing. Agree with the 12!!! I still have weight around my middle predominantly so not there yet... (hoping for the paper towel effect to start working in my favour!)

PearlsTeapot · 19/07/2026 17:26

I have gained a pound in the 3 weeks I’ve been home from hospital, which isn’t bad considering how many snacks and ice creams I’ve been eating. Must stop throwing this opportunity away and get this plateau moving downwards. I’m 15.2 and would love to see a 14 on the scale!

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 19/07/2026 18:06

Sorry to hear you are struggling @eibbed999 . I dont really have much advice I'm afraid, I've been where you are before and all I've learned is that it's a mental battle and one only you can fight. But we are all here for you, cheering you on.

Billybingbong · 17/07/2026 22:47

Thanks for the new thread @PositiveAttitude . I hope you're ok @Broon. We'll all keep this thread going until you're well enough to take over the reins again.

I'm just on my way home from a right good night at Alex James Britpop. It was phenomenal, and I am forever in awe of how much easier these things are as a 'normal' sized person. I was up dancing most of the night, such fun.

@Onenotsosmallstep I hope you enjoyed it too

Bloody brilliant wasn’t it. Only downside from the weight loss- I was freezing by the end of the night!

Reginaphalangeeeee · Yesterday 11:06

Thanks for new post.
A NSV yesterday, I was an official at an event. They said I had to wear one of the supplied event T-shirts, they will get one near my size to try. My heart sank. The fear of the judgement of size they assess me. The public shame of wearing a T-shirt too tight on display to all. I almost cried. I used to wear size 3xl polo shirts which places rarely have. I was panicing and thinking I would think up an excuse to not help or stay at the event somehow…

She came back with a size medium and size large for me to try 🥹
I know silly as this woman has never seen me at my biggest but the fact she thought I could be a medium or large was emotional. Her assessment of my size. Then I panicked thinking actually no way will they fit….
The large did…. I never tried the medium (fear I would get stuck).

I know many will relate to these silent fears and panics about people judging your size and fear of not ‘fitting in’, so this was a definite NSV for me.
Great seeing at the scales are moving slower than snails pace!

AlicesMum2025 · Yesterday 11:52

That's a brilliant NSV @Reginaphalangeeeee I had a similar thing happen to me - my gym gives t-shirts when you've attended a certain number of sessions and the coach ordered me a medium! Bonkers isn't it!

caringcarer · Yesterday 12:04

I've recently moved up to 10mg and I'm not hungry at all. I'm losing 1kg or 1.5 kg a week. I can't believe it clothes that have been too tight to wear now suddenly fit again. On7.5mg I was losing 0.3-0.4 kg a week. I didn't lose hardly anything on 5mg. I'm now wondering if I should stick on 10kg for another month or 2 before moving up to 12.5kg. I have not had any bad side effects.

TragicMuse · Yesterday 12:44

You can stay on 10mg if you want, you don’t have to rocket up the doses…I’ve been on 10mg for ages @caringcarer it works well for me. My losses have slowed as I approach target but it’s still working.

I tried 12.5mg and it was a bit too much! So I went back to 10 and changed the frequency instead and I think I’m on the best for me now. 10mg every 5 days!

MummyInTheNecropolis · Yesterday 13:07

I never went higher than 10mg, I didn’t need to. I got to target on that and then slowly reduced back down to 2.5mg for maintenance.

caringcarer · Yesterday 13:12

As long as I'm losing 1 kg a week I will stay on 10mg.

Fffreeeeezing · Yesterday 13:47

I went in M&S yesterday (we have a fancy new one just opened, where I live this is a massive deal 😂) and I bought a new bra in a 36 (pre MJ I was at least an ‘in denial’ 42) and tried on beautiful fitted suede jacket in a 16 expecting it not to fit and not only did it fit, I think possibly I was on the cusp of it being slightly too big.

Then went in the humongous food hall fully intending to buy something sweet/fatty/high calorie/tasty as a Sunday treat and left with chicken, loads of cottage cheese and a protein ball I ate in the car. I stood staring at the vast bakery display for ages and just couldn’t summon up the enthusiasm for any of it…….

Stayed the same this week, always do on the third week of the month (cycle related) so still at 15st6, 10st3 loss

RenegadeKeeblerElf · Today 15:29

I mentioned over the weekend that I'd been ill last week, well it has continued into this week - nasty chest infection that I am recovering from, but wow, the suppression is insane! I am only managing to eat about half the volume I usually do, if I wasn't trying to focus on calorie and protein rich foods I could easily stay under 500 cals. As it is I am struggling to reach 1000 cals each day, on the plus side I should have a lovely loss on Saturday!!

PositiveAttitude · Today 16:12

Total I did something that to me, is huge!! For the first time in over 20 years I went out in public in shorts!!

After sweltering in my office for the past few days we took a day off and went for a day trip. I wore shorts!!!
But it being typical Scottish weather I got cold and had to buy a top to keep my goosebumps at bay! 🙄 But the top was a size 18 and it fits!!!! So not all bad. 😁
