Anyone else waiting for this? I am, let’s start a thread to see how we all get on. I have two stone to lose. My DH said yesterday that ‘I am a bit plump’. Upset, though it’s true.

Today was day 1 of 4mg for me, after 30 days on 1.5mg. I lost 8.5lb in the first 30 days, which I’m really pleased with considering I was on holiday for two weeks. My suppression definitely wore off towards the end, and I was starting to get the odd bit of food noise creeping in. It had never dramatically reduced my appetite (I was always still able to have three meals a day, albeit it a little smaller than usual), but I was impressed that my interest in snacking definitely went down. I decided to go up to 4mg this month to try it out, as I felt things starting to grind to a halt. I am anxious about side effects, but had none at all with 1.5mg, so fingers crossed I’m not too susceptible. Will be interested to see what happens!

LondonCheesecake · 30/08/2026 08:08

I moved up to 4mg 10 days ago. I have lost 4.2lb in that time. I'm thrilled as I've been away on holiday the entire time. I've had pizza, ice cream, crisps, alcohol and chocolate but all effortlessly in moderation. I haven't noticed the sudden 'stop' that I had in the early days of 1.5 but I feel far more that I can take it or leave it

Poppycorn123 · 30/08/2026 08:32

I'm on day 21 of 4mg and I feel the last week or so that my appetite has been really suppressed. I don't think about food at all. Pizzas aren't appealing to me wheras previously they were my downfall. I am craving chocolate though. My bmi has gone down from 29 to 27. I will hopefully keep going until it is at 25.

cheeseomelette · 30/08/2026 22:48

I had day 3 off today. Still had appetite suppression most of the day and felt very faintly nauseous, but nothing like yesterday. I got my energy back too.
I’m going again with the pill tomorrow but will swerve the coffee until I’ve eaten and see if that helps.

Has anyone switched suppliers? Currently with Bolt and they are suggesting I move up to 9mg but it's £159. I'm wondering if I could go elsewhere and get a new customer discount

Fourlemons · 31/08/2026 09:23

I've been taking wegovy for just under 2 months and have dropped from 70k to 64.5kg so far. My weight has been creeping up for years post-children and I've not been able to lose it, but this has worked really well. The only annoying side effects are some dizziness and fatigue. I don't want to lose much more so will probably come off the tablets soon and then inevitably watch my weight creep up again

SweetBaklava · 31/08/2026 10:05

Six weeks in today… SW 13st 9.5, CW 13st 0.5 and I am thrilled!!! 9lb loss overall so far. Still a long way to go (another 4st to go for healthy BMI range) but very encouraged. I’m loosely following WW alongside using the pills to keep track of diet but really the cancellation of the food noise has been a game changer!
ETA.. going to stay on 4mg for now

I’m with Voy, not sure if they have a discount now for new starters, but if not, I have a code I can give you for some money off. Let me know if you want it!

Solasum · 31/08/2026 10:52

I have done nearly two months on 1.5mg and have lost 6kg. And absolutely no one has noticed.

Was hoping to lose 10-15kg in total, so I am basically half way there.

clothes are looser, but still can’t get back into smaller size wardrobe.

Giving up chocolate and most sugar has hugely improved my skin

If we switch supplier do we have to go through the clinical assessment again with weigh in etc?

LondonCheesecake · 31/08/2026 16:10

6860 I think you'd have to as is a new prescriber. Not a problem for me, I have loads of weight to lose.

I switched after 1 month from voy to bolt for a cheaper deal. Had to share all my details again and a pic of the prescription box with my name on. My current bmi is around 23/24 I added a few pounds to my weigh took an inch of my height just in case. Had to do photo and film myself in front of a mirror but no video call or standing on scales. Was approved and posted out the next higher dose to me next day

Today was day 1. I'm not sure what to expect really, I felt a bit bleurgh all morning but otherwise fairly normal I think.

Apsidistra · 31/08/2026 22:35

Day 14 for me on 1.5mg and 8lb gone. Good suppression and zero side effects so far.
So my question is do I stay on 1.5mg for month 2 or increase my dose to 4mg? 🤔

Beesclover · 31/08/2026 22:41

I'm on day five of having stopped taking the 4mg tablets, and I am still struggling to eat more than 1200 calories a day. Getting to that number is a battle. I hope the severe appetite suppression and food aversion eases in the next day or two as I'm really feeling exhausted. Just a heads up for anyone planning to stop cold turkey, it seems to take quite a while for the side effects to stop.

Solasum · 31/08/2026 22:50

@Apsidistra you can probably decide very close to the renewal date. I decided to stick with 1.5 as I was happy with my rate of loss, was confident I was still managing to eat a healthy diet and sufficient quantities to maintain my energy levels, and was getting enough suppression. There didn’t seem to be any advantage in going higher if it was really needed

Yes, thanks, that is good advice. I will decide in a weeks time. I don’t really want to increase the dosage if it’s working well as I don’t want to risk experiencing side effects.

Mouseshadow2001 · 01/09/2026 11:32

I’m thinking about weight loss tablets, I’ve been losing the same 7 lbs for the past two years, I really need to lose at least 2 stones, would struggle with injections, (can’t cope with needles). Is there any provider you would recommend?

PatNoodle · 01/09/2026 11:45

Coming to the end of my first week now and I can't believe how different I feel. I don't even think about food at all. I had yesterday off and was at home on my own, normally I would have just eaten rubbish all day but I had a sandwich for lunch and chicken and veg for tea. I didn't even feel like I was missing out on anything. I've also lost 3lbs which I'm really happy with

PatNoodle · 01/09/2026 11:46

I've also had no side effects, whereas on mounjaro I felt so sick and had terrible reflux and sulphur burps constantly

6860 · 01/09/2026 14:49

I started taking the pills on 22/7. Since then I've lost no weight, which is probably partly due to several holidays/trips where it's been difficult to control choice of food , plus too much rosé and crisps on these trips. In the first month, on 1.5, I had a diarrhea every day. Went up to 4 a week ago and that side effect has stopped thankfully.

I've noticed some appetite suppression but I am definitely still a bit hungry. What I now find is that I can't really be bothered to make a meal (particularly with lunch) as I'm not as hungry as usual, but then I start picking and eating things that I wouldn't usually have, such as bread and cheese, cos it's quick and easy.

I guess I need to plan my lunches better. Has anyone else not lost weight (nb for context, I need to lose around a stone. I had already lost 2 stone on the human being diet, so good habits already broadly in place).

I think the less you have to lose the harder it is. Just like non-medicated weight loss.

I am in the same position - am only just into the overweight category now. I have lost a good 10lbs on the Wegovy pills in my first month BUT I had been caning the booze, snacks, dining out a lot. Then I was ill for a few days and lost my appetite. Am currently at my usual coasting along weight but I do want to shed another 10lbs to be happier in my skin. Can't decide whether to go it alone or sign up for another month.

bageldessertwrestling · 01/09/2026 21:20

I was feeling a bit sick the first day or two last week but ok now. Coffee is making me feel a bit queesy and other food I’m starting to feel a bit indifferent to.

I’m hoping taking this is going to help me break some habits, eg usually have a snack on my way home from work on the days I’m in the office, but didn’t do that today. I thought about it but just kinda shrugged and didn’t do it. Really want this to be the start of a lasting change. Fingers crossed. 2lb in 5 days so off to a decent start.

I don’t drink at home really and don’t often have the chance to go out at the moment, but holiday planned next month. What’s it like drinking on the pills, does it make you feel fuller or impact how drunk you are??

cheeseomelette · 01/09/2026 21:42

It’s totally put me off alcohol, also coffee, cheese and crisps. All things I previously would have liked. They just don’t appeal or taste odd.

i don’t normally have a sweet tooth but really fancied Pepsi max for a couple of days. That’s worn off now! I’ve also stopped feeling sick which is brilliant.
