Anyone else waiting for this? I am, let’s start a thread to see how we all get on. I have two stone to lose. My DH said yesterday that ‘I am a bit plump’. Upset, though it’s true.

OP posts:

Mine arrived today so I start tomorrow.

i have 35-40 lbs to lose. I lost 30lbs by myself after lockdown but I’ve been losing and gaining the same stone for the last 5 years since so I have acknowledged I can’t do this without help.

looking forward to getting off the permanent fighting hunger treadmill. I really hope it works, can’t quite believe it will.

Mariettta · 08/07/2026 06:30

Just took my first pill.
Good luck everyone!

LouisaMayAlcott · 08/07/2026 06:39

Just taken my first pill. I’ve got 2.5 stone to lose and I’m really hoping this is going to help!

Solasum · 08/07/2026 06:41

Mine are due to arrive today. I have 15kg to lose

jackstini · 08/07/2026 06:45

What dose are you all
starting on?

Fourlemons · 08/07/2026 06:46

I've never tried WLI before but have ordered pills which should arrive today. Feeling nervous but hoping it works with no nasty side effects.I wasn't sure if I'd qualify as my BMI hovers around 27 but thankfully I got the go ahead. Hoping to lose about 10kg

RunningJo · 08/07/2026 06:46

I have a stone to lose. I’ve tried for over a year and I just can’t shift it, but I have constant food noise - which is a fairly new thing.
Can you take these with ‘only’ a stone to lose?

@HurrahforHollywood here’s a price comparison site for the tablets

https://ogovy.co.uk/

That site sucks. The pill info doesn't come up and it said 15mg Mounjaro with a certain pharmacy was £268 with a £50 discount. After filling in the long questionnaire, 15mg was £318. Waste of time!

HurrahforHollywood · 08/07/2026 07:00

What do they cost please?

SilenceInside · 08/07/2026 07:16

@KitsyWitsy apologies! That’s the only pill price comparison site that I’ve seen so far.

Sometimes the discounts are only applied if you click through from the Monj site to the pharmacy website. I’ve always managed to apply the discount that has been stated, sorry that it didn’t work for you.

I'm very similar: 70kg at 5 foot 2. Ive been steady at this weight for a few years so I know how to stay the same weight but never manage to lose any. My aim is to get down to a healthy BMI (60kg) , then stop and maintain if I can.
I also ordered from Voy and the tablets arrived this morning. Eek!

I’m 5ft 1 and 73kg, all very similar ☺️ also hoping to lose 3 stone!

Namechangewegovyjune26 · 08/07/2026 07:19

Mine is in transit with Royal Mail too! Very exciting

Good luck everyone who started today :)

SilenceInside · 08/07/2026 07:21

@jackstini everyone starts on the lowest dose which is the 1.5mg tablet.

@HurrahforHollywood prices vary depending on the pharmacy and any discounts, and then the dose. The starting dose is around £100 for a months supply of tablets.

That link isn't working for me either

As I understand it, you qualify if your BMI is 25+ and you have to send photos, videos etc.

SilenceInside · 08/07/2026 07:31

@HurrahforHollywood apologies to you to as well. I don’t work for that site and apologies if it’s shit. Please just ignore it.

Who are you using. I would prefer no subscription as I am wary of those.

I think most of them will be a subscription but I’m with Bolt and it’s super easy to cancel

I nearly signed up then chickened out . I am so scared of this stuff , don't know why.

snoopydoopydo · 08/07/2026 07:59

Mine are due tomorrow and I have 2.5 stone to lose. I'm due to travel on Friday, which is when I'd like to start them. It's a 3 hour train journey and I'm wondering if I should delay that start until I'm home on Monday or if i'd be okay to crack on. Do you think I'm okay just to crack on?

Solasum · 08/07/2026 08:04

@snoopydoopydo a few extra days before starting won’t make any long term difference. Personally I would prefer to be at home on day one in case I had some kind of reaction/nausea/upset stomach, which would be pretty miserable on a train

snoopydoopydo · 08/07/2026 08:29

@Solasumthat was my thinking too. Monday it is then.

AprilFlowersMay · 08/07/2026 09:39

Eep! Have taken pill number 1! 2.5 stone to lose …

I feel the same way but ultimately decided I was more scared of the risks of continuing to be overweight/obese at my age (bmi 29, retired). It was a difficult decision but it’s also difficult carrying almost 20 extra kg around after menopause, injury and illnesses etc.

It is a big expense too, my first order was £74 and depending on dose it could be up to £200 or more a month which I definitely don’t feel up to paying long term so hopefully that will incentivise me to knuckle down to the hard work needed. The pills should arrive tomorrow, arghh.
