Anyone else waiting for this? I am, let’s start a thread to see how we all get on. I have two stone to lose. My DH said yesterday that ‘I am a bit plump’. Upset, though it’s true.

Has anyone ordered their tablets from Boots to collect from their local pharmacy and if so how long did it take? I ordered last weekend, was approved first thing on Monday morning and it said I would get a text when it's ready to collect but nothing so far

I get mine from Boots. When I message them on the portal I’ve always had a prompt, helpful response. I’d chase it up with them. I had to do that when my second month although approved, wasn’t dispatched. They sorted it for me really quickly

Thanks @Namechangewegovyjune26
Do you have to subscribe to Bolt which locks you in for a certain amount of months? There's no subscription with MedExpress which was another reason I chose them. I want to be able to cancel anytime

No minimum duration. It does set up a subscription but you can cancel in the app any time before dispatch. My next dispatch is 31 Aug and I’m able to pause / cancel still.

I'm on day 16 of 4mg and really struggling. I feel tired all the time, have nausea, struggle to eat lunch, can usually manage dinner, sore head and eyes (no vision changes though). Honestly, I'm considering packing it in. I've lost 4kg, but I just don't feel good. I think I'd rather struggle with dieting and food noise than feel tired and rubbish everyday

I feel the same, almost as though I have mild flu. Fatigue, headaches, sore eyes and just miserable. Yes my appetite has decreased but mainly because I just feel rubbish. It makes it hard to cook and eat healthily. I’m experimenting with taking the 4mg every other day to see if this helps, if not I’m going to stop completely.

Yes, I'm struggling to eat healthily too. I have no appetite, feel nauseous and tired. It's not conducive to healthy eating. Please let me know how you get on with alternate days. I'm tempted to try too.

maximc · 25/08/2026 14:03

I'm on day 4 of 4mg & yesterday I felt as if I had a mild bug with nausea. I had intermittent nausea & painful cramps for 8 - 12 weeks on Mounjaro, stuck with it as I was losing lots of weight, & after that it cleared. But it was disruptive, & I had a couple of days sick time from work, missed a family occasion & so on, & I might have had to stop if I didn't have advantages like working from home.

Namechangewegovyjune26 · 25/08/2026 14:33

Day 14 of 4mg, I nearly vomited last night and today. Last night was about 9pm and I realised I hadn’t had dinner, so I had a Greek yoghurt quickly.

Today was at lunch, went to a greasy spoon type cafe and didn’t know what to order so I got a fry up. Scrambled eggs and beans were fine but as soon as I had the oily mushrooms I felt like I was going to vomit. Really hope this doesn’t continue!!

I did alternate days because of nausea and it was fine, still lost and worked back up to every days and now have no side effects

VideoVox · 25/08/2026 15:57

I’m doing alternate days as well, just coming to end of the first month, it’s been working well for me in terms of side-effects though haven’t lost a huge amount yet. Am definitely eating less though.

Apsidistra · 25/08/2026 16:10

When do you all re-order? Im a week into my first month now and just wondering when is best/ when we’re able to place another order?

Not sure having a fry up is the best idea when trying to loose weight #JustSaying 😉

Superdrug who I’m with, advised 10-14 days.

I ordered 10 days before the end of my pack and received them about 2-3 days later

I start my first dose of the 4mg tomorrow

Thank you, I messaged them yesterday and they said to try going in and see if they were ready. Annoyingly they'd been sat there since last Thursday but they'd forgotten to set up the text service to tell me, but I've got them now and took my first one this morning so all good

browneyes77 · 26/08/2026 16:03

Took my first dose of the 4mg today, and I haven’t felt hungry at all!!

Made sure I had a light lunch, as conscious that if I’m not feeling hungry I may not end up eating enough.

With the 1.5mg I could still feel peckish at times. But I had my 4mg at 8am and haven’t felt hungry all day.

Anybody else had that level of suppression so quickly on the 4mg?

maximc · 26/08/2026 18:18

It took about 3 days for me to get to max suppression on 4mg but I'm eating very lightly now, went from around 1500 calories a day to about 1200 & really couldn't manage another mouthful. Had to close a computer window earlier because it had pictures of chocolates & I thought 'yuck', which is incredible for a life long chocolate monster like me.

This was me a week ago. After 10 days on 4mg I felt absolutely awful so stopped completely. I was quite surprised that it took 4-5 days for the symptoms to ease but starting to feel much better now.

LondonCheesecake · 26/08/2026 23:53

I've had 8 days on 4mg now but have been away from home the whole time so no idea what I weigh. I would expect to put weight on while on holiday but I feel I've made pretty good choices so it'll be interesting to see what the damage is. At no point have I felt that sudden 'absolutely not' that I felt a few times on 1.5. I feel that when I gave left food it's been a very conscious decision. Right now, I'm thinking about doing a month on the next level (9mg?) and then switching to mounjaro, this just doesn't seem to give me enough bang for my buck.

user1468915974 · 27/08/2026 09:30

These tablets send me on a roller coaster with how they affect me.
1.5mg 18/7/26 SW 12st 1lb
4mg 12/8/26 SW 11st 10lb
16 days in and 11st 6lb.

Some days I feel so down because there's literally NO difference when I take it. I eat like a horse, make terrible choices and weight loss stalls.
Ive tried fasting for longer, waiting for over an hour after taking the pill and some days still nothing!
Then, out of nowhere, I get days like yesterday and today where I get the full effects and it completely lifts my mood.
I think I need to remember SLOW AND STEADY.

I've decided to stop too. I've realised it's making me feel incredibly anxious. I've read that it's because the side effects can mimic anxiety. Increased heart rate and nausea are often anxiety symptoms, but it's actually the medication causing these feelings. I feel quite deflated, but a sense of relief as I know I will feel better in a few days. I had also been reading about the risk of eye strokes causing irreversible blindness and that was the final nail in the coffin. Weight loss, for me personally, isn't worth the risk of blindness, or constant feelings of nausea, exhaustion, anxiety, food aversion etc.

Pp comment has worried me. :(

I was rejected by MedExpress, so applied to Bolt instead, who approved me on the same day.

They have been dispatched, so should be with me soon.

I'm quite nervous of the side effects, so could someone give me tips on all the things i ca do to minimise any potential side effects please?

How are you doing Bookaholic? My prescription arrived at the start of this week but I've been a bit anxious to start 🫣

My eyes seem really dry , along with a dry mouth. I've been putting eye drops in twice daily which is helping. It could be the warm weather too, though.

Been sick twice today and feel awful... do I risk taking tomorrow?

It's entirely up to you, I didn't struggle with the dose increase initially. It was around ten days in that I started to feel strong side effects. I'm on day two of not taking the pill and still feel off!

I’m the same, sat down to dinner yesterday and thought I was going to be sick. It reminded me of being pregnant. The worst symptom I’ve had so far and I’m 17 days on the 4mg 😅 I’ve taken today’s and so far so good.
