Hi all. I’m starting Ozempic jabs on Thursday. My prescription is sitting in the fridge ready to take to see the nurse who is going to show me what to do. I’m excited/nervous. Anyone else about to start who wants to join a thread. (I couldn’t see one already for July starters).

Hi @Notadream sorry to hear you’re feeling a bit frustrated. However plateaux are normal, even ones that last a few weeks. Look at all the other non weight loss successes and up your fluids. I’m sure you’ve heard all this before but there will be further loss if you hang in there. Not sure how much you currently weigh but the closer to a healthy weight you get the harder it becomes and tiny losses become significant.

it’s taken me ten days but I’m down another pound. I started in the 18s and I’m now into the 16s so this feels significant.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Hey @goingdownhopefully , thank you, yes I think I just have to stick with it. Also, second week of higher does, which has been a bit of a kicker, cannot sleep for toffee, feel quite nauseous still three days after jabbing, I can’t figure out if it’s the wegovy or maybe just menopause? It’s weird I have food noises, but I’m struggling to eat all the protein this week.

Morning everyone, weigh day and injection 9 for me today; 2lb gone so my 8 week loss is 2 stone 5lbs. Absolutely delighted but I must be open that it’s definitely not purely the jabs, I have stuck to keto the entire time and only this week have I started adding in lower carb veg and pulses. The wegovy has definitely helped in sticking to the diet as I don’t have any cravings and appetite suppression is high for me. I have moved up doses as per plan up to now so today was my first 1mg injection but if it goes ok this month, I don’t intend to go up higher - will see how I get on. Will keep everyone posted on symptoms etc.
still a ways to go for me, but feeling positive. I hope everyone else is having a good week xx

Hey @jeffsar I’m intrigued about your keto plan, would you mind popping and example of a days eating for you, I’m considering trying keto, but don’t really know where to start ? Worried about what to eat etc and really looking for simple rather than fancy, any tips?

@anothercortisolqueenI’ve found sticking to keto quite easy on wegovy, as my appetite suppression has been high. A typical day for me would be eggs for breakfast, scrambled or boiled & if I’m hungrier, I’ll add smoked salmon or avocado. Lunch is usually a homemade soup like chicken broth or cheddar & broccoli, then for dinner either a large salad with chicken, fish etc - just google lower carb veg, or steak and broccoli, cauliflower etc. the key is to cut sugar & replace with fats to get into ketosis, then you start burning fat stores. I use keto sticks to check I’m still in ketosis. If you are new to it, I’d recommend Michael Mosely’s keto book or join some keto ideas Facebook pages. I’m currently on injection number 10 and my current loss is 2 stone 9lbs x

Thank you @jeffsar. I’m going to see if I can pick up that book locally and give it a read. Appreciate you coming back to me. Super losses 😊

How is everyone doing this week? x

LoopyGremlin · 17/09/2026 22:33

I’ve just finished my second pen and have lost 10lbs. Going up to 1mg pen next week.

jeffsar · 18/09/2026 09:52

That’s great @LoopyGremlin! I’m on the 1mg just now and have had a few symptoms but nothing too bad; nausea mainly & some reflux. Don’t think I’m going to move up any higher as my appetite suppression is really high as it is and I’m consistently losing so think I’ll stick where I am x

Hi all. My appetite was back by Tuesday but really low again after injecting on Wednesday, 3rd week on 0.5. Ages and ages ago I treated myself to two good bras which have been sitting unused in my drawer as I promptly put on too much weight to use them. Tried one this morning and it fit. I was so happy as my old ones were so worn I might as well not wear one but I was determined not to buy new but slim down to these. Next target is for these to be too big for me.

Hello everyone, hope you are all doing ok nice to see some new folk here too, lovely to meet you all. I’ve got a question for you all, as you know I’m at a stall, still no change this week either. Yesterday should have been my 3rd 0.5 jab. I didn’t do it as I’m sure that the higher dose has screwed my sleep to an even worse state. Since going up I’ll jab on a Friday night, over the weekends on the new dose I can’t get more than 2 hours straight it’s like I’m programmed to wake up every other hour my on half past! I get to Wednesday and I start to get a few more hours. I do have Graves so I’m conscious this could be a factor and I’ve not had my bloods done for a while so this could be it. But last night I didn’t take my jab because I just wanted to get some sleep in and as it was the weekend I didn’t need to set the alarm. I know I need to jab today but given I’m at a stall anyway I’m considering going back down and seeing if I can sleep better? What would you do in my situation? I asked my provider about the stall and the sleep and they said it was quite common when going up a dose, but no other advice.

goingdownhopefully · 19/09/2026 17:29

I’d probably give it one more week, especially after having had a good nights sleep but if still not sleeping and no weight loss and no non weight loss victories, then I’d be tempted to go back to .25 for a couple of weeks and see if that makes a difference, before trying the 0.5 again. I seem to remember that your food intake was careful and balanced but is there anything you can tweak? Also what is your total weight loss, over how long, since you started the Wegovy? Not saying this is the right thing to do of course, just what i’d probably do.

Thanks @goingdownhopefully😊 in the first month I lost 7lbs and in the second month half a pound and a bit. I was 12.7 when I first weighed and on Friday I was 11.13. I keep jumping between 11.13 and 12.1. Started on the 8th July. I was weighing every day and tracking weight every day until about 3 weeks ago when I lost all interest in doing the daily tracking and weighing when I wasn’t getting anywhere. I was really balanced and have largely kept with the same eating, even lowering the carbs more. I don’t hit 2ltr of water every day but deffo get to 1,5. I have thyroid issues and lipodema, I’ve always been a slow loser but I thought the support of the GLP 1 would help. Sadly this was the pattern on mounjaro too. I’ll take the jab today and see what happens. Thank you for letting me babble on here 😊

goingdownhopefully · Yesterday 09:22

It may not be much consolation, but it does still even out at a pound a week over the two months. I can see that the lipodema and thyroid problems are going to make it harder but hopefully in the long term these may be helped as well. Good luck with next week.
