Hi all. I’m starting Ozempic jabs on Thursday. My prescription is sitting in the fridge ready to take to see the nurse who is going to show me what to do. I’m excited/nervous. Anyone else about to start who wants to join a thread. (I couldn’t see one already for July starters).

I also eats seeds, flax/chia/pumpkin and nut butters

Yep, added flax and chia to my Greek yogurt today. But I’ve been absolutely terrible with my water , realising it’s blooming 5pm and I’ve hardly touched a drop. I better get chugging 😊

last week I was very good with water. This week has gone gradually down hill. I think partly because I’m feeling full. Also not quite as hot last couple of days.

Two weeks in. Two and a half pounds down. Feeling ok apart from occasional constipation. Number 3 Jab today.

Well done 👏 how did it feel to see the smaller number?

You're on your way now! 🙂

I got really constipated on MJ, im finding 2 x kiwi fruits a day working really well this time.

VindicationOfTheRantingWoman · 15/07/2026 10:43

Hello started last week on Friday, I had bad nausea for 2-3 days and could hardly eat. Ok now, eating small meals. Looking to loose 1.5 stone. Put weight on after medical treatment and has been impossible to shift and going up and up, so depressing. I only have a couple of dresses that fit now, I am pleased I took the decision to do this, I need to keep weight off for my heath and also to avoid buying a whole new wardrobe 😀.

jeffsar · 16/07/2026 08:19

Hi all, hoping to join you 😊 I started 08/07 on Wegovy, first time trying WLI - I have 3 stone to lose 🙈 second jab was yesterday, first week loss was 5lb so hoping I can keep up momentum - I’m also following a fairly low carb diet alongside the wegovy. No symptoms as yet, but definitely not as hungry, especially in the mornings. Good luck everyone 😊

Welcome to anyone who has recently joined 🙂

Hope you all get the results you want with no side effects.

Morning and welcome to the newcomers!

I started on 29th June - so a cusp July starter! I'm three injections in, my 4th is on Monday. My starting weight was 12'3, the largest I've ever been (thank you, menopause). And I'm now down to 11stone 10 with an inch off all over.

I've just reordered 1.25mg pen as I'm finding the supression enough. I dont know about others but I've found the nausea a bit much on some days and it's a struggle to eat usually around the Friday/Saturday (I inject on Mondays).

CrabPasteSarnie · 17/07/2026 09:09

So it appears that even though I didn't count to 6 when I injected last week, it was still OK. I have managed to lose 1kg so I'm pretty happy! I did my 2nd injection yesterday and counted to 10 just to make sure 😀I haven't had much in the way of side effects, mainly feeling bloated . I've been eating some dried apricots at night to try and avoid constipation, and I drink quite a lot of water anyway. I work in a school and the amount of "treats" around at this time of year is huge but I really didn't want any of it - unheard of normally!

Hi hello, and welcome to newcomers. I woke with a very funny tum this morning but seen to be recovered now. @VindicationOfTheRantingWoman. I also have a very full wardrobe that I am trying to slim down to. Hope we’re both successful. Glad you’re over the stomach upset.
Everyone seems to be having a mainly positive time so far which is excellent.

Weigh in day and I’ve only lost 0.3kg 😔 So that’s 0.8kg in 2 weeks.

I don’t really understand it. I’ve not been hungry and have been tracking my calories and averaging around 1200 a day. I’m 5’7 and do a lot of exercise so I don’t really see how I can eat less than I am and still get enough protein 🤷‍♀️

Feeling a bit despondent. I’ve got about 10kg to lose and it’s going to take forever at this rate!

goingdownhopefully · 18/07/2026 22:31

Hi @Quartzfairy. Sorry, that must be disappointing. Anything I read on it says that the lower doses are only for body adjustment and weight loss comes later. I’m sure if you hang in there you’ll start to feel some changes.

I couldn't wait and weighed myself midweek. My weight came up as 12st 3.4 (from a starting weight of 12st 9) so I was chuffed to bits. Then I weighed myself again a couple of days later and got 12st 5. So annoying! I think it must have been the couple of glasses of wine I had the night before making me retain water.

I have been reading a book about being on WLI written by an NHS nurse and her moto is "whether you believe you can or you can't, you will prove yourself right" so I will give this my all.

Four pounds down down after 2 jabs is OK. I'm just so impatient to get the weight off and start wearing my favourite clothes that won't go round me just now.

I have decided, no alcohol unless it's a special occasion and go for a walk each day. Oh and plenty of water!

Love to you all may your scales be kind!

My 1st dose of Wegovy has just been delivered, I am exited to start but now it’s arrived I feel nervous. Think I’m going to start later this week as it’s full on at work this week coming so don’t want to start today in case of side effects. Bit nervous about injecting, any tips?

goingdownhopefully · 19/07/2026 15:46

i think most people are nervous when it comes to it, you’re not alone. To be honest I still haven’t injected myself, daughter has done it for me twice and nurse once, but I intend to do the next one myself. It is easy. I was going to do thigh, nurse recommended tummy (I’ve got plenty of it). It was completely painless. What I’ve picked up from the thread is remove from fridge half an hour before use (to prevent stinging). Don’t forget to count to six once needle is in, to prevent loss. I’ve had no significant negative side effects and I think that goes for most of us on this thread. I’m sure others will have something to add. Good luck.

I was nervous the first time too but it was nothing to worry about at all x

ButryMashPot · Yesterday 10:34

Thank you, gonna ask DH tonight if he’ll help me with my 1st jab. Was going to wait until later in the week to start but I just want to get started.

Belladog1 · Today 12:21

Finally .... FINALLY I got an appointment with my GP. I needed to double check my research and thoughts about HRT. I had the appointment this morning at 6.20am (I know right!!!!).

So, I have been very patient as my WLI has been sitting in my fridge for about 3 weeks now. But I will be starting it on Saturday.

Edited to say, maybe I should join an August starter thread as it will be nearer to August 🤔

goingdownhopefully · Today 13:02

That’s good news @Belladog1. We’re happy to have you here, whatever you feel happy with.
