@Mysticmaiden Honestly, I was just impatient, I only got the pills to see me through until I decided what to do and then I just went barry big balls on the dose as Iv took it for so long I thought id be able to tolerate it and I mostly have.

I am 9st 12 now still, lowest I went was 9st 9lbs so I may aim for that but I go to Italy next week and then I have a 4 nights away with work in a two week period so that is all eating out.

I may actually lose weight in Italy, Its just me and the kids and its my husband that likes to go out for loads of food so we will probably end up eating less then if he was with me. He has work so he isn't coming this time.

I hope your hip is better now? and you have some time off work planned soon! Going on the Oushk plan sounds ideal if you have so many pens available in your fridge just waiting to be used!

I buy extensions from here Euphoria One Hair Extensions - Luxury Quality Human Hair Supplier

@FizzleGONE omg it's a minefield.. where would I start with knowing what to buy and how do I attach it to my scalp/hair?? So many different varieties im lost lol
Barry big balls 🤣🤣 that made me laugh loud..you are brave! No way would I have jabbed 12.5 after not being on mj a while and on tablets but glad it worked out for you! Yes my hip has been better since yesterday thank god.
I love Italy! I've been to Lake Garda 4 times, Rome, Venice, Florence and Verona! Beautiful country. Enjoy x

Bluenose1966 · 26/08/2026 10:22

Hi all,
still maintaining at 9st 1.6lb, jabbing 2.5mg per week. Psychologically I did like it when I could see my weight starting with 8st something but I have radically overhauled my diet and eating a lot more plants and fibre for my health. Assuming the increase in carbs is my weight gain, but don’t feel like I have look like I have put weight on.

Walking approx 3 miles each day and strength training twice per week.
i am eating 90g protein, 30g fibre and approx 1800 calories a day and finish most days with a small Aldi dark chocolate Seasalt bar and a bowl of popcorn as read it was a healthy snack.

@mysticmaiden I have had frozen shoulder a couple of times, absolutely agonising, nearly fainted once reaching up for something. What I didn’t realise until recently that it may be related to menopause. When I went on HRT it stopped and I have never had it since. I tried some cheap hair extensions from Amazon but I was rubbish at putting them in. Then I went down a rabbit hole of watching wig videos. There is a Scottish woman with grey hair andshe wears the most lovely wigs. Just google Amandathehairandnow. Unbelievable transformations even with cheap wigs under £30. I did order a few wigs though not sure I will ever go out in them, despite even my sister who is very honest saying they look great. If my hair went even finer I may do so always an option I suppose

@FizzleGONE Haha, I have a family member called Barry, wonder if he has ever been called that😂. Ooh enjoy Italy, we were recently in Lisbon and I didn’t eat loads, the fresh fruit and veg is so much nicer over there than here. There was a coffee shop we went to called Folks and I have been recreating the lovely overnight oats dish I had there. I even bought similar bowls!!! We are off to Rome for first time in November so looking forward to that.

@Bluenose1966 well I am 45 in December so I was thinking I might be peri-menopausal though ive never experienced a night sweat before or some of the other common symptoms. I've always been cold and low in iron, also my periods are regular like clockwork so far, so I'm not sure if I am. My GP told me frozen shoulders were linked to high blood sugars and diabetes etc, so she requested a blood test specifically for it, because they had missed doing the test for my nhs healthy heart check the year before, and I was prediabetic but the GP didn't even bother telling me and logged it as normal! It came up on my nhs app last summer when I changed GPs.
The extra weight is more likely to be muscle with all the walking and strength training that you do!
Ooh enjoy Rome, there are some beautiful buildings and tourist sites to visit, I loved the Vatican city and the trevi fountain.

Mysticmaiden · 30/08/2026 10:26

Hello all, I hope you are well.
I've got a stash of 3 x 10mg pens and a 7.5mg pen which is enough to last me almost a year on the doses I'm doing currently, around 4mg, so I'm going to stop ordering after my next, I'll get 5mg so it looks like I'm tapering down, then go on flexi plan, it's £10 a month but will let me use up my year stash then will try to come off and go it alone or try tablets if I struggle amd gain, back on mj is my last option.
I worked out I paid an extra £325 for my stash compared to buying 5mg pens but it will last me 8 months extra so works out as paying £40 a month! I'll no doubt save more money as I'll be reducing my dose further over time. I did 4.33mg yesterday and feel super full and suppressed before even breakfast! I also struggle with anehdonia even on these lower doses, so eager to not stay on mj forever.

Bluenose1966 · 30/08/2026 10:50

I’ve got some 15mg pens that will last 8/9 months as well @Mysticmaiden .
Was listening to one of my many podcasts called Fat Science and the USA medical Dr on it Emily Cooper was saying some of her patients who find the costs difficult extend their use of the pen. She said there is no evidence that it decreases quality of pen etc and said on a personal level extended use had not reduced the effect on her own patients. She said the only tests that have been done that it works for a month but no tests on whether it works longer, she never said it but obviously not in pharmaceutical companies interest to do that. She stressed importance of hygiene using pen.

At the age of 60 not sure if I will ever be able to come off MJ after decades of eating incorrectly. I have really changed my eating habits over last few months making sure I get 30g fibre and eating over 30 plant foods a week. Also reduced my protein intake to 90g. Have sometimes been forcing myself to eat so maybe I don’t need quite as much as I did. Think I may have put on water weight as currently 9st 2lb despite not eating more calories. I would ideally like to get to just below 9st again so will keep on 2.5mg and see what happens as don’t want to reduce calories. If anyone had said to me 2 yrs ago I would be complaining at weighing 9st 2lb I’d have thought they were having a laugh.😂.

Not sure I have an element of anehdonia as well Mysticmaiden but difficult to be sure. T

@Bluenose1966 I've short dosed since my fourth month, bought a 7.5mg pen and went up slowly! Most I've used a pen was 11 weeks and had no issues, but I keep it in fridge and use alcohol wipes. I use syringes when I get to the end and had no issues with effectiveness etc. I figure it's my body I'm risking so my fault if something goes wrong!
In America they use vials for months and I'm on reddit and don't see many serious incidences, they're usually from fake GLP pens/vials made of other ingredients.
I gained 3lbs when I had my hip pain and and lost 1.5lbs this week so I believe I had water retention but I've also been good, had 1150 and 1300 cal days last 2 days and spent 6hrs shopping and 2hrs driving on Thursday so I must've burned some cals! Bought some smart work cigarette trousers from h&m size 10, had looked everywhere but most shops had wide leg or boot cut which isn't ideal in winter! Also treated myself to a burgundy luxury furry maxi dressing robe from primark..Well it was luxury for primark lol and got some treats from Sostrene Grene, lovely shop.
Poor sleep and stress also makes me gain water, could you be experiencing this?
I'm off next week have a few day trips planned, Durham City sight seeing and shopping. I went to uni in Durham and graduated in the cathedral but haven't visited for over 3 years, so will be nice to visit again. I'm also going to either Castle Howard where Bridgerton was filmed or maybe Ripley Castle as have a friend who lives in Ripon that I've not seen for 3 years and also have a HD brow appointment booked. I have lots DIY to do but trying to enjoy the last of the warmer days while they are here, we've had lots of rain last few days though.
If you are down to 2.5mg and its strong that's a good sign you might do well without. I was on 15mg at highest! So to get to lower doses is a miracle.
I gain and lose all the time with eating carbs, exercising or hormones and during my period, but I'm always within a few lbs range, have never gone outside it. I'm not as good as you with my diet, I eat more protein and reduce carbs to lose but I don't enough veg!

HansHolbein · 07/09/2026 21:24

Hello all! How are you? Is everyone feeling ok?

FizzleGONE · 09/09/2026 16:23

I am back down to 9st 9lbs! wooo... I even lost 1lb while I was in Italy. Without trying.

@Mysticmaiden How was your week off?

@Bluenose1966 I feel like I have a touch of anehdonia, I used to really enjoy buying clothing but I get no pleasure from it now at all and I only buy stuff when I have to! for work events etc.
Also the last few day trips iv taken I just cant be bothered, the days leading up to it... I just end up thinking 'Is it even worth it'. I still do it but its mostly because its a day out for the kids etc.

@HansHolbein How are you doing? Haven't seen you post in a while!

Mysticmaiden · 09/09/2026 19:54

@FizzleGONE wow well done on your weight, I bet you're on a high 👏 yes I feel exactly the same as you have described, not much enthusiasm or motivation to do anything and rather stay at home! But I'm glad I got out when I did on my week off.
I went to Durham with my closest friend and saw the cathedral and visited the range of gift/homeware shops and there was a classic car event so Porsche, Ferrari, MG, BMW , American brands and army military vehicles were all around the tourist areas.
The next day I then went to Ripon Marina where my friend who I haven't seen for 3 years, owns a canal boat with her husband. I've never been on a canal boat before so that was both exciting and strange! She has some mod cons in there like a Dolce gusto coffee machine! She also has a 15yr old cat who is used to the boat and hops on and off fine! We then went to Ripley and visited the castle grounds, there were walled and kitchen gardens, a waterfall and fallow deer in the deer park. I had some lovely lunches on all my days out, Italian red cherry ice cream in Ripley and walked a lot! I also did gardening, visited family, shopped, cleaned rested a lot!
I was just getting used to my lie ins and chilled breakfasts when they were soon over.
@HansHolbein lovely to hear from you..how are you and have you been upto much since we last heard from you?
Just about to hear what Oushk are doing about their bundles and pen prices on a live video session.

Bluenose1966 · 10/09/2026 08:37

Hope all going well @HansHolbein. Nice to hear from you.
Woohoo, great to see scales going way you want them to @FizzleGONE. I need a kick up backside as been a bad week eating wise. We are in an Airbnb in Haworth for a few days. Too much chocolate and too many cakes. Plus had fish and chips, with curry of course 🤣. On the positive side walked over 18000 steps yesterday.
@Mysticmaiden Your break in Durham and Ripley sounds fab, good to have a change of scene . Hope work isn't too stressful. Now that I am not working I wonder how I let it get me down so much.

I definitely don't have anehdonia on the shopping front unfortunately, but can relate to not being as bothered about going out etc. I really have to force myself to make the effort.
Though what I really need to do is reduce my time on internet as I spend far too long on it. I have bought a paint by numbers kit and going to give that a go

Does anyone do tweakments? Don't they say it's your arse or your face? I was always quite pleased about my lack of facial lines when I was fat but since losing all that weight and in my mid 40s, my face has been looking rough, crows feet in particular. I've been doing a bit of botox every 9m for a couple of years but since my goal weight, my cheek indentations have been bothering me. So I got a bit of filler this week, not sure how I feel about it, yet. I definitely do not want pillow face or defined huge cheek bones, just replump the skin a bit. I guess I have to wait for the swelling to subside. No one has noticed so it is not that obvious to others.

On the plus side, I am loving all the cosy (size 10!!!) autumnal clothes I'm buying from Vinted. My biggest goal for the last 20 years was to buy some leather knee high boots, i used to struggle to fit into wellies or have to wear those stretch boots. I love my new leather boots with my new short skirts. Another weight loss win.

Oh for the lie ins and chilled breakfasts of holidays 🩷 I don’t feel much like getting out either but maybe that’s just cause I’m an unsociable old
cow 😂 Lovely to hear everyone’s progress. I put on about 3 pounds on holiday so am now working to get it off again. Catch up on the weekend 🩷

FizzleGONE · 11/09/2026 15:59

Just wanted to join in as I am about to go into maintenance after 2 years on MJ. I’ve lost 80 lbs and am now hoping to come down the doses but stay on MJ as I know I will just put the weight back on if I come off entirely. All your stories are inspirational!
