@FizzleGONE This is what I've seem on reddit about oral semaglutide and mounjaro comparison. It was from clinical trial data. I wouldn't trust chatgpt as it only searches for info and it's probably talking it from tables of advice for switching over rather than clinical trials data??

I have only been on them for about 4 days, so far so good but its early days, I will see what they are like after a couple of weeks. Iv lost 3lbs in those 4 days.

Thanks, I will use what I have, I think it would be ok for maintain but I need something to shift the few lbs iv put on.

If it works it doesn't matter what trials say as everyone reacts differently to them. Losing 3lbs in 4 days is great, hopefully it comtinues for you. Could you increase the dose of the tablets and see how you get on especially if they are so cost effective?
I think 5mg is too strong for me now, managed 1038 cals so far and that was forced as I was getting light headed but no appetite until about 7.30pm!

I ended up spending half the day feeling sick yesterday. I upped to the 14mg tablet and I ate half a ham salad sandwich for lunch and couldn't face the other half, then spent the rest of the day feeling sick.

Not sick enough that I was going to be sick but sick enough I felt off my food. Perfect middle ground for sickness😂

I am also down to 10st 3lbs now so its going down steadily for the first week on them. Just need that little boost to get back on track.
I am joining the gym next week.

It looks like it is working well so keep at it! I didn't realise the pills you have are a similar dose, are they grey market or just international branded wegovy ones? I think the table i posted must be incorrect if it is making you that sick but then if you've been off mj a while it will feel stronger initially. Make sure to eat more so you don't lose muscle by not eating which isn't good to maintain long term as reduces your BMR.
I did a body toning fat burning session with weights on friday and then saturday did 2.5hrs in the garden trimming hedges and mowing lawns even though my thighs were sore from my body toning session so it's taken 2 days to recover 🤣 I might attempt one today. I haven't exercised in a long time, briefly a few sessions months ago but that's it since I started mj 🙈 because it just wears me out and drains my energy. This is why I've wanted to come down and off. I might try the pills if I come off and can't stay in control and gain.

They are basically international branded wegovy pills, a type from india.

I am taking Sembolic 14 mg, which is an oral semaglutide tablet (the same active ingredient used in Wegovy, though Sembolic is a different brand).

Sembolic is an oral semaglutide tablet made by Torrent Pharmaceuticals in India.

Sembolic 14 mg

• Average weight loss is typically around 10% of starting body weight over many months.

New Wegovy pill (25 mg)

• Clinical trials showed an average weight loss of around 16.6–17% after approximately 64–68 weeks when combined with diet and exercise

Although both contain semaglutide, the Wegovy tablet:

• uses a higher 25 mg dose (compared with 14 mg),

Side effects
They're very similar because they're the same medication.

So the UK wegovy pill is better but I am only taking it to give me a boost while I decide what to do regarding MJ.

Sounds like you had a good work out day! Im waiting for the correct payment window at my work and then I am doing my gym membership, we have had a new finance system put in place so its taking longer to get our money back at this moment and its the school holidays so cant spend all my money as iv spent ALOT this month already.

Our house is also on the market so very stressful time.

Ah I follow Growwithjo on youtube, she makes it quite fun with music and mix of sessions and durations. Yesterday I did actually do a pilates with dumbbells 20 min, them a 10 mins round booty workout and then only 5 mins on my cross trainer but my legs were worn out by then lol burned 270 cals..I feel like now my dose is lower my energy and motivation has actually come back. My body has definitely looking more toned today!
Today I went shopping with my friend and had a spree in primark on jogging bottoms, sweatshirt, long sleeve crew t-shirt and a burgundy work dress. It's so nice to be able to buy clothes and not hate how I look in outfits in the mirror! They were all XS and S..I've never actually been this slim even when I was a young adult, I was always a 12 from when I remember.
Look at jetsethealth it's a doctor who uses pharmacy2u via Lillydirect, his prices are reasonable, he accepts down to bmi 21 and supports maintenance incl click counting, one month on and one off and taking long breaks, so I'm considering ordering so I can use up my stash..or I have to pay 15 a month with oushk to go on a break!

Hi everyone, enjoyed reading all the updates as ever.

Wow, what a fab price @FizzleGONE If only they were those prices in the UK. Maybe we should have an October MJ User holiday to India for weight loss tablets, similar to Turkey Teeth or hair transplant holiday😂 .

I came back yesterday from UK holiday to Yorkshire and had put on few pounds, now weight 9st 2lb. Ate loads and had the wine package so indulged rather too much, the 2.5mg I had just before we went didn’t seem to slow my eating down…..

Back to my good habits today. Eating 1800 healthy calories, 3 mile walk, 30 minutes stretching, meditation, tidying up, and will then slob out as a reward this evening watching tv. Bach to gym for weights tomorrow. Want to get back under 9 stone.

Well done on the training @Mysticmaiden , so much easier when it becomes a habit, I am on autopilot to exercise in some form daily now. Still amazes me if I try clothes on in a 10 or 12 that they fit me. Jetsethealth sounds promising, think Oushk let you be on maintenance up to 5 mg with one month on /off. I have enough MJ for next 7-8 months and will then probably have to get my sister to order for me as won’t have ordered for more than 12 months in my own name.

Great catching up with your posts ladies and reading about maintenance options. The Jetsethealth sounds interesting and I think I’ll take a look at that - so thanks for information. I really, really need to get into some weights with Pilates so will also look at the grow with Jo - keep

I injected today and not sure if I was pinching/holding skin too much (didn’t feel
like it) but some of the medication spurted out? I’d decided to take a full dose from my 5mg pen as it’s been going for some time now ! Also off on holiday soon so took the plunge and I’ve braved a full dose -
Im now wondering how much of a dose I actually had?!! Has this ever happened to any of you?

@Bluenose1966 i didnt know Oushk would let me do one month on and off, ive been on maintenace with them since July 25! And ive never heard that. Hira was more relaxed but some of the other pharmacists go by the book so I could ask the question but I'm not sure if they would let me esp as they have a 6 week max order limit. Ive been click counting from a 10mg pen since March this year.
1800 calories TDEE is a reasonable amount. My tdee is 1490 sedentary so I need to exercise to up the BMR like @EVK mentioned. If I want to come off in the future then I can't live on 1490 cals a day esp with more hunger and no suppression and a lot of food noise!
No ive never had a dose run, was the needle maybe not fully in? I do find the needles and syringes hard to pierce my skin for last few months, no idea why, maybe less fat?? My skin feels soft but I struggle.

@EVK I lost some like that once. I never worked out if it spurted out or if I somehow hadn't inserted the needle. I do check now and tend to wait for 10 seconds before removing it.

Talking about removing needles, I seem to have the most stupid inability to get the used needle off the pen these days. Twisting and pulling it, bending the needle because I've twisted the cap off again. Ridiculous

Currently at 10st 8lbs which is at the top of my comfort range. I've been alternating between 3.3mg and 3.0mg doses, still aiming to get down onto a 2.5 pen

I've recently noticed new hair growth along my fringe line!!! I've always had thin fine hair so the weight loss triggered loss wasn't good. It's only a couple of centimeters atm but I'm really glad to see it finally!! Anyone else?

It spurted out so fast that I’m wondering if it was from the needle!! @Mysticmaiden I’m less concerned about stretching the pen out now I hear you’ve been using a 10mg since March! I think I’ll buy another 5mg next time and stretch it out again. It definitely makes things more cost effective but it’s the reordering in 6 weeks before they want you to go back on 2.5mgs which is tricky! As stretching the cost across two months would make things so much more
manageable for me. I guess once you store a load up you can take a break from buying. @Carridoesntlivehereanymore its reassuring to know I’m not alone in the spurting liquid domain! I don’t think I’ll ever know what happened there either but as you said leavening the needle in for 10seconds after emptying dose is a good idea. Great you have new hair growth, I know how happy that must make you feel. I wish I had noticed new hair growth - think I’m in a shedding phase ! I too have thin and fine hair anyway, chemo definitely messed it up too and now weight loss plus menopause have really hit the hair hard! I’m sort of making peace with my thin hair but it’s not nice. Pre- menopause and cancer It was long and although very fine, I had lots - I’ve had it cut into short bob now and it’s ok, but I do miss my long hair. It’s very thin now - wouldn’t even get a tiny a ponytail!

@EVK ah its not the same pen since March, I use a 10mg and usually get 9-10 weeks out of them as I was adjusting the dose but I started doing it in March. Really I started doing it in month 2 with 5mg pen amd was worries about side effects. When I got up to 15mg I used a few of them until the price rises and they all sold out, as did 12.5 so the only one I could get was 2 x 10mg pens! I also tried wegovy for 3 months but that was awful. Yes I slways wait 10 seconds before I remove the needle.
@Carridoesntlivehereanymore yes I've noticed new hair growth which im excited to see as I've had awful hair loss at the temples with bald areas and receding hairline and loss all over with excess shedding from month 4 onwards up until now, even in maintenance and with high protein so the food doesn't matter. I've added collagen to drinks for 4 years now way before mj and I even had a course of 4 biotin injections to try to stop it., as well as taking vitamins, biotin and iron daily. My iron levels have been much lower and i was anaemic when younger but I never shed hair like this. It actually stopped a few days after starting wegovy and started again when switching back so it must be mj.
With removing needles, I always put the big plastic cap/cover back on first then it's easy to wind off.

@EVK sorry I read back and I wasn't clear, I've been short dosing since month 2 doing inbetween doses before moving fully up because everyone posted about side effects. I always bought higher pens and did lower doses after coming down from 15mg in sept 25. I do buy every 5 weeks to avoid a long gap but it means I currently have 3 x unopened 10mg pens in my fridge! The latest was a new style pen..gutted. I'll be moving down to 7.5 next because my dose is coming down and i dont know how i feel about using a pen for longer than 3 months. I did 4.33mg yesterday because 5mg is too strong.

@EVK I have had several pens on the go for approximately 4/5 months. I keep them in the fridge and only take out to inject. My logic is if they are fine out of a fridge for a month they will be fine for 4 months in the fridge. They appear to still be totally effective for the full period of use. How annoying some spurting out, like others I leave in for 10 seconds, think it was a tip I read when we started.

@Mysticmaiden Not sure if Oushk still allow the month on/off. I recall they did up to a maximum dose of 5mg but that was a while ago and I’m not with them anymore, may be worth asking the question.

My hair has always been very fine, not helped by menopause and bleaching it. Currently debating growing it out and going back to my natural colour out but not sure how long that will last. There are some fabulous hair toppers / wigs out there now. I am amazed how many people wear them when you look on internet and they look fab.

I'm so excited to have some new hair coming!! Ponytails? Less than the diameter of my little finger now, lol. Weightloss and menopause have not been kind

I'm having trouble with getting the needle off with both the tiny needle cover and the big cap back on...

@EVK Iv also had pens last months. I also leave the pen in for a good few seconds after iv done the full dose. Just in case, I didn't want to lose any liquid gold! 😂

@Carridoesntlivehereanymore I am not sure if i have had any new hair growth, Iv had to wear extensions now for a while as my hair is so thin.

I have also managed to get hold of some MJ, a friend who had some that has decided to stop taking it sold me her stash so I jabbed a couple of days ago!

Good to know I’m not the only stretching a pen over months rather than weeks! Will definitely do the 10 second hold rule from here on in. The 5mg I took which was the first time in a very long time I’ve had a dose above 2.5mgs gave me sulphurous burps, bad tummy and nausea. I also had either a retinal or straight forward ocular migraine which may or may not have been related ? Possibly triggered by low blood sugar? Could have been completely unrelated. I was dehydrated a bit at least and had drunk two very strong expresso coffees prior to attack!! So more likely that was the cause ! I definitely won’t be doing 5mg a before going away. I did have increased lack of interest in everything and was very tired so not what you want really. 2.5mgs for me here on in!

Having tried a wig when I lost my hair due to chemo and hating it; ive never thought about wig type support for thin hair! I always thought it weakened what had but maybe things have improved ? Do you just wear for special occasions?!!

@EVK I think loads of people stretch it out over months now, its very common.

I have never had a migraine so cant comment on those, although I have been feeling sick too since I started this new pen but I'm putting it down to going straight in at a 12.5mg dose! ha
I have also been knackered at night, falling asleep on the sofa every night.

You can get hair toppers which are really good. I wear extensions to add some length and thickness.
I wear them 24/7. I hate my hair without them now and Even if i took them out it will take a good 2-3 years to look nice again.

My husband is away this weekend for a friends 40th, so its just me and the kids and I'm excited to spend some time with them watching movies on a evening together.
I am taking them trampolining today, out for pizza🍕 and then a movie night.

I weighed this morning and I am back in the 9s!!! 9st 12lbs! 4 more lbs off to my lowest again although I may try to go a bit lower. I have two work gala dinners next month and I want to look my best 😌

@FizzleGONE lovely news about your weight dropping down into the 9st range, well done on your hard work ❤️ 👏 what made you go straight into 12.5mg?? Have you given up on the tablets? Sounds like the tablets were working before from what you shared? How exciting having a weekend with just you and the kids and it sounds like you are creating some lovely memories with the kids, enjoy the rest of it x

Well I worked last Saturday so did 6 in a row and been getting up early and had 6hrs sleep a night max and since Tuesday this week I've had hip and thigh pain, it's getting worse over the week so I've been on paracetamol and ibuprofen since Thursday and struggling to stay on my feet at work but we've been short staffed so I've had to work in the lab and it's hard to do some tasks sat down. I also started my period last Saturday morning and jabbed 5.33mg to empty my 10mg pen Saturday evening and since then also felt very low, anxious, exhausted, headache but it's only around 1mg higher than my lowest dose the week before so I think it's all linked to hormones and working 6 days. This morning I woke up 6.30am and my hip was in agony so I took paracetamol then had some breakfast and took naproxen, that i found in back of medicine cupboard and expired years ago! Its kicking in at least now. I don't know if it's because I'm turning 45 in dec and hormones or peri menopause or my mum having arthritis so its developing or just sleeping badly or muscle strain! I'll have to go to GP if it doesn't resolve, I've had a frozen shoulder twice in last few years too. Any advice would be appreciated.
I think I'm going to jab 4mg today, I find I'm super sensitive to mj now which is so odd as I went up to 15mg very quickly but on the way down its super strong and drops my blood sugars too low that I end up with anehdonia, no energy and carb cravings. Haven't exercised in a week so I might try some gentle yoga stretches.
Weight wise I'm 8st 12lbs today, I was 8st 9.6lbs at my lowest approx 3 weeks ago but if I have some inflammation going on that's understandable.
I have 2 x 10mg pens in fridge and a 7.5mg on way, thinking of stopping ordering, going on Oushk flexi plan £10 a month and using up my stash and seeing how I get on without it. I could then get the foundayo tablets if I struggle with my weight off mj.
Has anyone considered the tablets?

@FizzleGONE where do you get the hair toppers from? 3 weeks ago I started using Watermans Grow me shampoo from amazon and OGX collagen and biotin shampoo and it's making a difference with less hair shedding and it feels thicker. I've also got regrowth where my hair was receding at the temples but that could be due to reducing my dose.
