Thanks for all your good wishes. @FizzleGONE you look amazing in that dress! @Bluenose1966 how was Lisbon? It’s very nice there, but I’d struggle post knee replacement with the hills atm! @igivein Oushk would be fine with your bmi for maintenance, although I have thought about looking at prices with other maintenance providers for myself (Eg Swift, Pharamlous). @Mysticmaiden - oh my a root canal and no local!! I’ve had three and no one comes near me without large quantities of local. I hope you’re feeling better now.
Re those of you who had car problems - we did too with air con not working on our old Peugeot. So we bought a new Citroen C5 aircross on interest free credit. Air con works a treat in this heat!
I am now six and a half weeks post knee replacement. I was off 10mg MJ for just over six weeks (pre and post op).
I started again on 20/06 at 2.5mg and have taken 5mg on 27/06 and yesterday (04/07). Oushk said I’d be fine on 5mg so that is the pen I’ve got, but I chickened out for the first dose! Anyway, I can report that going back on has been fine. No side effects this time around with starting.
Food noise was starting to kick in so I’m glad to be back on it. Weight wise I’m at 11 stone today and my lowest pre-op was 10 stone. 8.5lb. I’d really like to reach my 10 and a half stone target and so I’ll work towards that. I’m wondering if I could do that on 5mg?! It’d be great to do that if I could rather than going up the doses again.
One of the problems is that I can’t currently do the steps I would usually do although I’m working hard on my physio exercises and have just bought an exercise bike (my physio suggested it). Trying to increase the walking and amount of standing but it is a slow process! This operation is not for the faint hearted!!
I’m managing to get out for a bit each day and have been out for some lunches with friends - such a nice feeling! I’ve been cleared for driving so next week I’ll go back to our gym which has a pool to start some hydrotherapy exercises that my physio has given me - can’t wait to get in the water!
Goal is now to keep on with the exercise programme and hopefully lose that extra half stone whilst being careful to keep up my protein intake necessary for healing bone and muscles!
We’ve got two holidays booked for September . One in Norfolk with family and one on Sorrento (for me and my husband).
