Thanks everyone. 💕

@Carridoesntlivehereanymore Im at 9st 13lbs and its defo tricky to shift the few lbs! I think I will need to look into Oushk. I would like a MJ pill too! Maybe it wont be long. We can hope.

@Mysticmaiden I did a live video before, I just used old pictures and When i stood on the scales i picked up a conveniently placed tin of paint and kept the camera pointing down!!

Yay for the MOT!

@letshavetea Yay for driving again and being able to get to the gym. I had a friend that reached goal on 5mg. So it can be done.
Those holidays will come around so quick. I am in Rome and Dawlish in September! Malta in November and Disneyland Paris in december.

Bluenose1966 · 06/07/2026 11:27

Morning all, beautiful day here and not too hot. Just been to gym to do weights and some stretching. Despite being retired I sometimes have to force myself but always feel better for going.
OMG @FizzleGONE You look fantastic, love your outfit. Haha, had to read your paint comment twice to understand what you meant.
@letshavetea We go to Lisbon tomorrow so will report back. We are only doing hand luggage so struggling with what to leave behind. We went to Sorrento many, many years ago, think I will price up a return visit. Your knee operation sounds an ordeal, glad you are on the mend. You new car sounds lovely, you appreciate aircon when been without. Definitely worth a try re the 5 mg, I lost mine on doses between 2.5mg and I think possibly 4mg at times.
Been listening to a new podcast called the Wellness Hub which is very chatty and lighthearted about health and nutrition. Given me some new ideas on how to up my fibre and made me realise we need to have more chickpeas etc in my cooking.

@Bluenose1966 You are going to the gym more then me! I haven't been once since I started MJ!

I am only doing hand luggage for rome and wondering If I will regret it, its 5 nights. I keep debating adding a bag for us to share!

Hi all. I’m on 5 mg it comes to around £180 a month. I wanted to go up a dose but the 7.5 is nearly £100’more :( I’ll have to stay on the 5 but I still get hungry at times.

Maybe do a 7.5 and then go up to 10mg and split doses?

Have you looked on www.monj.co.uk for other sources? Oushk sell 7.5mg around 44? with discounts on top, you get 40 welcome discount. There are many cheaper too.

Thank you so much @FizzleGONEand @Mysticmaiden

EVK · 18/07/2026 23:38

I’ve just been reading everyone’s news. I’ve been mad, crazy busy with work and pretty wiped out. Pictures of you ladies are
wonderful and you both look fabulous. Sorry to hear about illness and work struggles and know that some People are very insecure
when someone loses weight as it makes their sense of where they fit in change ! It’s all a very interesting dynamic- but comments about needing to put weight on and eat more are a sure sign someone else is feeling insecure about themselves, in my view
anyway!!

I’m usig 30 clicks of 5mg pen which I guess to be about 2.5mgs - it’s working really well for me. I’ve lost a few pounds and feel totally in control of my eating, although I’ve still
have an evening dark chocolate habit! I’m reading a brilliant book called Appetite Reset or something like that - I’ll check it and let you know. Fascinating information about weight loss medication and our physiological/psychological weight management systems. Well worth a read and has loads of practical advice about upping fibre etc. healthy diet and the type of exercise which supports our weight loss long term. Chickpeas etc. all the way 🤣 and has very
positive messages for us all.

Im now around 8.7lbs which is perfect and will need my next pen to be a 2.5mg again as I’ve gone longer than would normally be expected between pens. I’m with Oushk too so I’ll say I had to take a break due to finances which isn’t untrue😅 I think
I’m ready for Maintenance program now and
i like the sound of £25 discount someone mentioned with Oushk.

Happy weekend all - tired and off to bed but needed to touch base with all xx

Bluenose1966 · 19/07/2026 21:30

Lovely update @EVK . Like the sound of that Appetite Reset book, sounds very similar advice to the podcast I have started listening to -The Wellness Scoop. One of the hosts is the girl behind Deliciously Ella so it is all about increasing fibre and plant food variety. They also talk about topical subjects, really like it as quite upbeat which I need as can’t stand the toxicity of most social media. I can’t believe I have lived so long without using chickpeas, cannellini beans, etc😂 Cheap, full of fibre and protein so chucking them in or blending them in everything. I am using the freedom day meditation app they suggest and am loving that as well.
I have been using chat gtp to work out my calories, protein and fibre etc. I just read out my list of food and it summarises it in seconds. Current eating approx 1800 calories a day, 100g protein and 30g fibre.

My current weight is 8st 12lb, lowest weight I can ever remember being. No-one has said to me for several months that my weight is too low, presumably cos they are more or less used to the new me. Ironically they did say it when I was a stone or two heavier.

Loved our holiday to Lisbon, not as picturesque as Porto but I think I preferred it as loved the sights and the small working trams that are everywhere. Plenty to see and do, though 4 nights would have been enough rather than the week we did. My main advice to anyone going is too not only wear flat shoes but shoes with grip. There are loads of cobbly, slippy hills. Only place I have ever been to where no-one wore heels.

Loving the sunny weather as not as quite as hot. Been out meditating and reading in the garden everyday. Feel very fortunate that at age 60 I am in very good health and can afford to not work, helps that I have cheap pleasures, long walks in woods and a coffee in village once or twice per.week. As I have got older I no longer take things for granted and really appreciate how lucky I am. Trying to live in the present and not worry about the future as I was terrible for catastrophising about things that never happened.

Hi all

Little Wegovy catch up from me. I am now on 2.4mg Wegovy, which is the second highest strength. I wont be going to the highest strength as its not affordable for me at the moment (circa £200).

However, I have one more jab from this pen and another 2.4mg on order, and I am finally feeling how I was on MJ - nausea, food noise gone, cant be arsed to eat, etc etc and this week, I have shifted 3 pounds, as opposed to bouncing around the same 2 pounds for the last six months.

So I am hoping that the 2.4 will keep working for me. I am on holiday in September so need to keep the weight off for then, and will plan a 2 week break while away, but if I have doses left I will take them with me, and will need to consider my options for when I get back whether that be taper down, continue with 2.4 for the foreseeable or stop again.

FizzleGONE · 30/07/2026 13:14

Quick update from me.

I have been rubbish with food and I am now 10st 7lbs!!! ahhhh!! I can tell too....

I am completely out of MJ, I do however have a work friend who has family in India and she has sent me over generic version of the wegovy pills! So I started those yesterday. Unsure if they are doing much at the moment, I started on the equivalent of month 2 but they are £20 for 2 weeks worth so we will see!

ArtfullyCrumpled · 31/07/2026 14:45

Hello! I don't think anyone would remember me but I joined the thread at the start but dropped off because I didn't really have much to say!

I just wanted to drop in to say congratulations - I am so happy to see so many of you reaching your goals! I lost 6 stone 9 and it's changed my life. Not sure what stage 2 is going to be... MJ for life or try going without of a bit here and there but will just need to figure it out. What a miracle it has been!

letshavetea · 31/07/2026 21:05

Nice to read all your updates. @Bluenose1966 I’m glad you enjoyed Lisbon. It’s a lovely place but not one I’d be confident walking round at the moment! @EVK - thanks for the Appetite Reset info - I’m enjoying it having just downloaded from Spotify.i do find listening to these books informative and reassuring. @DeltaAlphaDelta79 - staying on or coming off is a tricky decision. Glad you’re finding Wegovy is working.
@FizzleGONE - what will you do after the tablets run out? Will you get something prescribed here in the U.K.? 10 stone 7 is my goal weight - what is yours?
@ArtfullyCrumpled - wow! That’s an impressive loss. The evidence (as you will know) is that we tend to gain weight if we come off, which brings me on to my update…

I’m now ten weeks post total knee replacement. The op has gone well and I continue to improve. The knee is still swollen and a bit stiff, but walking is getting easier. I still have a stick when out - but nothing at home. I’m doing all my physio and will start back in the gym soon.
I had to have over six weeks off MJ. Since going back on I did a month on 5mg and I’m now on 7.5mg. I was previously on 10mg. Goal is 10 stone 7lb and I’m currently stuck on 11 stone. Annoyingly I had reached 10 stone eight just before surgery! I’m determined to get to goal. I think because I just can’t walk for long periods I’m expending less energy than before the op. I do also think I’m seeing the effects of a break from MJ. I’m in no rush to come off but I would like to avoid going back to 10mg - for the expense really! I’ll just have to be patient I think!

Mysticmaiden · 01/08/2026 00:55

@letshavetea if you have had surgery then you may have some inflammation going on. Out of interest how were the 6 weeks off for your appetite?
@FizzleGONE ooh interesting about the wegovy pills. Most have to go up to the top 2 doses to lose I've read 9mg and 25mg. Apparantely 25mg is only equivalent to 5mg in clinical trials for weight loss. How long since you last ordered mj? If you want a prescription for mj or wegovy you might find results with a maintenance pharmacy as long as you last ordered within a year, try swift Dr, pharmulous or oushk who I am with.
@DeltaAlphaDelta79 if you are paying 200 for 2.4mg, might be worth doing mj and upto 7.5mg for similar price but better drug as it has the GIP so most likely better results.
@Bluenose1966 @EVK lovely hearing about your weights, you have both done incredible and good to hear about your holidays. I love Italy especially Lake Garda and I've been to Portugal too on the coast.
Update from me: I'm down to 5mg click counting from a 10mg pen so it's costing £128 for 5 weeks and its working fine for suppression. Haven't yet had a new style pen luckily and I still order every 5 weeks so I don't get cut off. I've been off work since thursday and off until 9th august. Had my 6th body contouring session of radio frequency, cavitation and vacuum. Its changed my body shape and shrunk my waist, tummy and back fat. Cost £375 for 6 sessions and I feel it was worth it.
I went for a haircut today and have a lunch meal with friends tomorrow at a Mexican restaurant.
Today I started a body fat burn with weights session on youtube from Growwithjo for 30 mins and my smart watch says I burned 220 cals.
Lovely to catch up with you all!

letshavetea · 01/08/2026 08:54

@Mysticmaiden - lovely to hear from you too. I’m with Oushk as well and I like your idea of order every 5 weeks for a 10 mg and then micro dosing. Do you do that on a maintenance contract or just buying with whatever discount they have? I’m interested to hear about the body contouring and will have to read up about it. Do the effects stay after you’ve had the treatment?
I do still have inflammation as I have swelling still in my knee and down the left leg to the ankle. This is normal for my stage post op and I find icing and elevation of the leg helps. So, some of my weight gain is probably inflammation related. I’m feeling okay about it and will just take my time to get where I’d like to be.
When I was off MJ for six weeks I didn’t really feel hungrier as I was still on the strong medications post op and that was affecting me with nausea and constipation - not conducive to feeling hungry. I was still hungry and definitely eating more on 5mg. I’m just starting to feel some suppression on 7.5mg now I’ve had two doses of it. We went out for lunch yesterday and I couldn’t finish it all.

EVK · 01/08/2026 10:15

Good to hear you’re doing well post op @letshavetea and glad you’re enjoying the book. @Mysticmaiden im micro dosing from a 5mg pen and it’s lasting ages - I’m just wondering how far I can push it!! I’m also with Oushk and will book a maintenance call now I think. I’m hoping to kept ordering 2.5mgs and stretching them
out over 5 weeks by leaving longer between doses? However using the 5mg is actually cheaper so I suppose I could do that on maintenance and like you just buy every 5 weeks or something ? It’s just so expensive. I’d quite like to do a month on and a month off maybe. If they do that? I don’t know but having experienced putting on 7lbs over a year while I was off it - I’d like remain with the option to be back on if I need to!!

happy weekend all xxx

Mysticmaiden · 01/08/2026 10:54

@EVK @letshavetea wow how many of us are with oushk?? If you use the app or Facebook site then we may have chatted on there as I'm on there too and occasionally post.
@letshavetea The body contouring is using a Quad Lipo machine, it's uk based company, look up the website for info. They also do laser hair and other aesthetics technology. It actually destroys fat cells permanently, rather than weight loss which just shrinks it so basically unless you over eat and grow extra fat cells, they don't expand so its ideal for spot fat removal for stubborn areas and it also helps treat loose skin. My waist actually dropped 1cm after my first 2 sessions and considering I never exercised at all and actually gained 1lb over that time, that's brilliant. The full results aren't seen until a month or 2 after treatment because the body removes the fat over time and my last session was on Thursday. There was such a difference between my first and last sessions, even with bloating. I looked at fat freezing but was concerned about the side effects as can get uneven fat removal leaving dips in treated area and it can kick off a reaction where body produces excess fat which has been shown on This Morning etc.
@EVK I started microdosing 7.5mg from 10mg then gradually came down to 5mg. My highest dose was 15mg and I started coming down in sept 25 and have lost a further stone since then from bmi 25 to 22 so I'm chuffed with that. I have lost 1lb this week as I was being good and having fruit and spearmint tea as snacks because last week was my period and I had a big snack tin from m&s that I'd gotten for free and couldn't stop eating over a week so I binned the remnants and pushed myself to be better this week.
I buy a 10mg pen every 5 weeks, well its 5.5 weeks this time, but it means I have a stash of 2 unopened pens and I'm on conti plan and have 2 pens remaining in my maintenance plan. At some point I might go on flexi plan for £15 a month to use up my stash and then try to go without or go back on 2.5 or try the wegovy pills, though I had a bad experience with the wegovy injections but I'm at a much lower dose now and still get suppression and satiety because I came down slowly. Mj is getting difficult as it lowers my blood sugars too much now so I'm really lethargic and have anehdonia start of the week and have more energy at the end of the week when it wears off, and actually feel less hungry strangely too so I'm hoping that means I'll do ok without it but who knows!
I don't think Oushk would let you do one month on and one off but you could ask.
@ArtfullyCrumpled 6st 9lbs loss is amazing 👏 well done! I don't know what dose you are on but if you do come off, taper down first as research shows those who taper do better than those who go cold turkey.
I'm just sat having a coffee for breakfast so I save all my calories for my lunch restaurant meal!

Mysticmaiden · 01/08/2026 11:12

Here are 2 photos of me taken almost 3 months apart, pink top before body contouring and red taken yesterday. I'm actually half a lb heavier in red top but my hands even look slimmer and waist is more defined.

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 01/08/2026 12:53

@Mysticmaiden apologies, my 2.4mg is £135 and the £200 is for the highest of wegovy.

I was on MJ and yes it was better/stronger but i didn't have decent results until I was on 10mg and above, so I obviously need the higher dose so will need to stick to Wegovy for now.

EVK · 01/08/2026 14:48

@Mysticmaiden - all very interesting. Don’t know anything about anehdonia ? But low sugar levels is something I’m always wary of as high blood sugar was never really an issue for me. I just try to eat nutritious meals regularly even when I don’t feel hungry to avoid it and also to support metabolism and avoid triggering a ‘shit’ we’re in starvation crisis mode happening with internal metabolic balances being slowed down to mitigate the bodies perceived crisis ! It’s incredible the autonomic response the body has to reduced calorie intake!
I’ve never gone above 5mg. I was off MJ for nearly a year and slowly put on 7lbs so went back on about 3 months ago. It’s helped me shift the 7lbs which is great and a relief. I might buy 5 weekly and build up a supply of 5mg and then start buying 2.5mgs which is all I need to keep myself from putting back on. I think ill do my own 1 week on one week off and see how that works before possibly leaving longer ? It’s probably not going to be what is recommended but I’ll ask about an approach like that. If I titrated down from 2.5mgs I can’t imagine it would have any effect so I’m hoping my plan might be a way of weaning off completely again. Then I’d do the £15 a month thing just in case maybe? It’s a tricky decision.
My diet has improved again this time round with the addition of more high fibre and protein coming from pulses and grains like quinoa so hopefully that will support gut microbiome and resulting production of hormones etc. related to metabolism and satiety. I do need to seriously increase muscle mass to support myself coming off too. I’m going to go slower this time rather than simply just stopping the 2.5mg which I did last time. I was ok for a long while but maybe now I understand a little more what is required to sustain the weight loss. The Appetite reset book has been really helpful in that regard.

I had to have surgical liposuction to help create the nuanced parts of breast reconstruction after my mastectomy. They took fat from thigh areas and unfortunately that left me with some uneven lumps. Wondering if your body contouring thing might work to even that out?!!

Good luck everyone and keep going.

EVK · 01/08/2026 14:53

🤣just realised you meant anhedonia ! I know what that is and not a pleasant side effect of MJ -
I guess the up is lack of interest in dopamine firing sugar and fatty food and down side is no pleasure ! It’s not a great choice is it!

Mysticmaiden · 01/08/2026 23:59

@EVK I am hoping to come down further like you to 2.5mg and then maybe take it every 10 days and then go down to 1.25mg before I come off. Not sure about 1 month on and 1 off as the dose would completely reduce down and fully wear off after a month and I'd rather have a steady dose in my body until I fully come off than all or nothing.

FizzleGONE · 02/08/2026 09:36

@Mysticmaiden You look great! love the updated photos!

I thought you couldn't reorder MJ if it was over 6 months? I last ordered at the end of sept 25! so I am close to the year mark. I might have to look into this!

According to chat gpt, I am taking 14mg of the order version of Semaglutide which is equivalent to 5-7.5mg of MJ approx.

@letshavetea I am unsure, I can always get more pills from india so I will see how these go.
I have also looked at the grey market but unsure on that front, everyone I know seems to be buying it from there though!

Will have to catch up properly later as I have to dash! 💐

Mysticmaiden · 02/08/2026 10:08

@FizzleGONE the maintenance pharmacies specifically swift Dr and pharmulous do a 12 month break plan so you can come off and come back on but would have to restart at 2.5mg and work up. This is ideal for those who want to try and go it alone or some do it to use up their stash of pens. Oushk who I'm with have a flexi plan where you pay £15 to stay on their books essentially and can cone off and order another pen whenever you fancy, there is no 12 month limit and I know someone that was off 18 months and gone back on. Not sure where you heard of the 6 months limit as I haven't heard it anywhere. What are the semaglutide like for suppression and satiety? Wegovy didn't work well for me for inflammation and insulin resistance.
