@MCR24 I've just gone past my 2 year anniversary a week or so ago, and I am not at my original target weight. I am in a bit of an equilibrium state and am finding it hard to gather the will and focus to push on and try to lose the last few pounds. My weight can go up a bit, and then I can get it back down to my lowest weight so far, but then no further. So I feel your pain.

I would say though that timescales like the 2 year anniversary are really arbitrary and we attach a lot of meaning to them that isn't intrinsic to them. I still believe I can get to my target, I just have to readjust to the situation I'm now in and accept that it will either take a while or it will take some drastic action and I just need to decide which of those I will go for. Or a bit of both!

I’m sick of myself, not making good choices. Wish I could just increase the dose, I’m finally on 5, going up 1 click a week. But the side effects nearly did me in last time I tried a bigger jump.

Feel like I’m throwing away both money and a good opportunity. I’m basically in maintenance, I’ve stayed the same pretty much for the last six months while I’ve been in and out of hospital. I know I need to cut my calories but then I eat an ice cream and think I’ll start again tomorrow, which is Old Me way of thinking. It just feels a little hard right now to shake things off and start afresh, which is what I need to do.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 17/07/2026 08:27

I've lost 2.6 kg over the last two weeks. 2 weeks of holiday, with cake and eating out most days. I'm astounded. I was hoping to stay the same and praying that any increase wasn't too bad. I had to weigh myself a couple of times as I couldn't believe it.

SW: 135 kg
MJSW: 128.7 kg
CW: 105.1 kg
Loss: 2.6 kg
Total loss: 29.9 kg

Almost 5 stone gone now.

@RenegadeKeeblerElf @Billybingbong @TragicMuse bizarre isn’t it. Not that I’m really complaining! Completely with you on being squishable into clothes 😂. I fear the gym is only going to be able to do so much.

Opened my latest open today and it’s sadly new style- 15mg from Medicine Marketplace. I’ve been on 13.75mg for the last 11 weeks as a ‘final push’. Cost wise I really need to think about titrating down. My eating is pretty good, it’s drinks at the weekend especially with social events in summer that gets me. Off to the seaside to see Alex James’ Britpop Classical tonight and that will involve an Aperol or 3.

Billybingbong · 17/07/2026 09:31

@Onenotsosmallstep Gosh, we must be locals, I'm going to the OAT tonight too!!!

MrTiddlesTheCat · 17/07/2026 09:48

How much did everyone lose before new clothes became a necessity? I've lost almost 5 stone but am still wearing the same clothes. They must be very stretchy. So far I've only had to give up 1 dress, which wasn't stretchy and was quite floaty. I wore it a couple of weeks ago and it was literally falling off me. Nothing else though.

SilenceInside · 17/07/2026 09:51

@MrTiddlesTheCat it was around 5 or 6 stone for me. I was wearing stretchy shapeless tops/tunics and stretchy trousers or leggings and it took a while for them to be actually too loose and baggy. I was 22st at the start and it was around 16 stone that I really had to get new clothes as things were starting to be in danger of falling down.

It depends on the clothes. I think jeans were the first thing I had to replace, at probably 3-4 stones down, t-shirts and jumpers have lasted a lot longer. I tend to wait until I've dropped two sizes before getting new clothes, so work tunics for instance I went from 22 to 18 and now 14. But dropping from 18 to 14 was a lot quicker than 22 to 18.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 17/07/2026 10:13

Glad it's not just me. I was beginning to wonder if I were some weird freak of nature.

Billybingbong · 17/07/2026 13:05

So, after what feels like weeks and weeks of being stuck on the merry-go-round of 1lb on, 1lb off, I've finally hit 8st loss! Annoyingly, my scales app is having a blip and telling me I've lost 7st 14lb, which I know means the same, but I just want to see 8 on my phone!!.

I'm out at a concert tonight, so will have a little drink or two to celebrate 🥳

BritbirdUK · 17/07/2026 14:59

I just had an appointment at the Doctors and they weighed me. Turns out since my last appointment in June I have lost 22lbs so 10kg. Interesting as the scales this morning when I weighed in indicate only 20lbs. I know that there can be fluctation but seemed quite a big jump given the fact I have eaten and drunk now.

I have to admit I felt a little down this morning. I know this is a slow burn but, despite being really disciplined, I was only showing a 1lb loss this week. I know, it is a loss and overall 22lbs in just over a month is great but the voices in my head are saying "you are failing" and "what if you don't lose more this week" I do go up a dose (hopefully) next week so will be on 5mg.

Last night I was pretty pleased with myself - there was a work event and all the food was fried or unhealthy so I left well alone and had a lovely healthy dinner of homemade chicken skewer, roasted veg, couscous and corn on the cob. Normally I would've been over indulging and then feeling guilty. On Sunday I am at a food and drink festival. One of our favourite food venors is there so I am going to have to see if they do a child portion or if I can resist.

NSV, we went to Thailand over Easter and I didn’t have to ask for a seat belt extender (amazing!), it was close though. We flew to Greece today and I actually had tighten the belt! 🥳🥳🥳

Still very unwell.
Please can someone else start the next thread as I realise we're nearly there.

Hi @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne
Sorry that you are still feeling so unwell.
I hope you have people looking after you.

I am happy to start a new thread and I will post it here in a short while.

PositiveAttitude · 17/07/2026 18:51

Oh blimey, I have cocked that up!!!! I did one thread that I mistakenly put as thread 14. Then I tried to delete that one and did another one for thread 15...... And I think the 14 one is still there, but I have managed to hide it so I can't now find it or do anything!!!
If anyone goes into the wrong one can you put a link to the new one on it?
Sorry everyone!!! 🙄🤦🏻🙄🤦🏻🙄

I'm having a glass of Chablis and laughing my head off at this..

Guys, I'm 9st 11lb today. And this is too thin.

Appetite lost. Any advice on finding it? 🤣

Last had 15mg MJ 5 days ago.

PearlsTeapot · 18/07/2026 16:41

I know where your appetite is. In me! I’m eating enough for the both of us! 🙈 hope you feel better soon and keep fuelling your body.

Off out to a Chinese buffet for DS’s birthday tonight but mounjaro makes me only eat 1 small plate fill for £27! I don’t get my moneys worth at all anymore! I can eat it fine but not much of it.
