Hello!

Came into say hi and to see how @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne Was and was hoping you were out of hospital. Gosh I am so so sorry. What on earth happened? I hope you are safe and have some at home care or a good GP or something?!

Great to hear everyone's news.

My news is I have finally broken the - what seemed like 2 month - plateau.

The last few months I have started HRT, moved less, it's been hot etc. My chart would lose and rise and it looked like it was just going up and down the same 2kg.

Finally a new number though and I'm 11stone 8- 11stone 9 this week!!

SW 21st 11 (138kg) beg Jan 2025
CW 11st 8 (73.5kg) 18months in

GW1 10st 13 (bmi 24.999)
GW2 10st 7
GW3 10 st 2 (aspirational)

I can't believe how close I am to being a normal bmi! The pace has certainly slowed down considerably but thankfully I knew to expect that. I can't wait to be finally (hopefully) titrating back down.

On the skin - my arms at one point looked like they were hanging bags with fat drooping at the bottom - and that's much better now.

legs - melted candle but I wear dresses to the knee anyway.

Stomach - still the worst area for me. Makes me a size bigger round my middle so still haven't brought jeans yet. (Not that that's a problem in this heat - that can be an autumn purchase!) And even if my stomach always stays like this it is still so so much better than being morbidly obese but I think I am one of those people who could do with surgery. We wont ever afford it (still struggling with cost of the MJ) but I'm hoping maybe the final stone will come off my stomach!!!!

I feel so so different now.

I'm still fascinated by the mobility side of it. I was able to walk again way before I lost significant weight. Whereas people who meet me now assume its due to massive weight loss.

I'm now taking 9.5 mg from a 15 pen - and I ordered 3 x 15pens from Pharmulous to try and avoid the new pens - I was lucky!!!

I'd emailed them asking how ordering multiple pens worked and got a v quick reply. I have been v impressed with them.

Loved reading you post @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden

Feels so much affinity as I started Jan 2025 at 136KG
You have done so much better than me as I am still 91-92kg
I would be happy with any number that begins in 70’s but not sure I can get there.
I too been a plateux over this heat time.
Hope the HRT improving things for you- I began 4 months ago too.

Body wise, I look so much better than I did, I don’t care.
My tummy is jelly, arms now flap and make a weird sound as I jog down stairs 😬 and legs ‘ripple’.
But I wear size 14-16 so who cares!
Facially I look 10years younger and the looser skins around my chin/jaw has really improved over the last 3-4 months.

I also bought a 15mg pen. I’m taking 11-11.5mg.
Bought a 12.5 from the family Chemist, it was a new style one 🙄. Got a 15mg one the other day from IQ doctor which was old style. I am currently using up last 10mg pen.
Not sure I can afford to buy multiple pens and worry about keeping regular purchase to ensure eligible for 15mg.

Keen to hear more about your multi-pen buy.

oh I wish it was easy like 1Kg a week like in the early days… it’s such a battle to keep losing, feeling guilty spending this money and yet just maintaining. I want changes I make to be sustainable which is why I refuse to go too drastic with diet and choices. I know I could improve aspects (less bread and carbs) but so worried about rebound I am trying to stay in realms of what feels sustainable.
Exercise been harder in this heat too ☀️

Good luck to all of you looser, hope the cooler weather coming sees us all a few bonus lbs off. I definitely need a win!

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne how are you tonight?

A bit dizzy but generally okay

Going to surgery for blood tests this morning.

I've got a GP APPT tomorrow. Apparently there are drugs like clopidogrel which do the same thing, but which do not cause massively swollen feet and ankles.

Weight this morning is 10st 2lb. However I have eaten absolutely nothing since Saturday am. So weight should be a lot less than that.

Feet' and ankles still hideously swollen.

BMI still telling me I'm overweight.

Do not look it or feel overweight though.

None of this makes sense.

Except the obvious thing that the clopidogrel is causing the swelling. Am still taking it because it's essential. But am not eating.

GP is very good and I'm sure he'll change the clopidogrel to something which does the same thing but which does not cause the swelling.

Have been checking my blood pressure regularly and it's normal.
.
Husband is driving me to get lthe blood tests this morning and to do some errands round the village.

Am glad we're friends again.

Wish he'd ask for sex though Grin

OP posts:
TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · Today 10:24

WLM has asked me to go go away for a night with him.

Have told him I'd like to so we're making plans.

Have made it clear that sex is NOT on the agenda though.

So we're looking for an Air B and B with two bedrooms.
.
I absolutely trust him not to try to have sex with me unless I ask for it.

He's a nice man but I don't fancy him.

Yet.

See reading some of the other weight loss threads is so depressing. Here's me over the moon to finally in the 12's which I've not been in for over 15 years. Then I see people starting on less and saying how disgustingly big they were 🤦‍♀️

Edited

100% agree. Remember though, everyone has a different experience, different journey and you are doing an incredible job. If I were to go right down to my ideal weight I would need to lose around 15 stone which feels so unachievable and just thinking about it makes me feel anxious and upset that I have allowed myself to get to this point. But then I remind myself that I am doing this my way and just making that change is a positive and will make a huge difference to my life.

All the best on your weight loss journey is frigging hard but so rewarding with every NSV.

Wow Fatsia! What a great result!
We started at the same time (Jan 25) and at a similar weight (I was 132,5 kg) but you've lost so much more than I have (CW 94 kg).
This second year my weight loss has been really slow. I lost 30 kg in 2025 and only 8,5 kg these past 6 months. I only upped my dose recently from 5 mg to 7,5 mg and will see where that will take me.

@Reginaphalangeeeee Yet another Jan 25 130s kg starter! I'm also still in the 90s kg, so still obese (BMI 32) but like you I'm feeling great. The heat doesn't bother me any more than my slimmer colleagues. I can walk for hours - good for my upcoming city holidays. And I have improved all aspects of my health (bp, sleep apnoa, diabetes, skin condition etc.)
So I'm quite happy to continue losing weight at this slow rate.

Twat didn't write and let me know, though.

Surgery also forgot to let me know.
