Greetings losers. Thanks for the new thread.

Well done @myladyjane that is a very good feeling. I’m literally on the same path as you, same sort of goal, same frustrations at times. I’m sure we’ll be there before Xmas.

I decided on a mid afternoon weigh in 🥳, lowest recorded weight of 82kg. 22.1kg lost, 9kg to go. I remember someone (was it @Jins?) saying that they just ‘felt’ thinner one afternoon. That was me today.

PenelopesPursuitPrevails · 26/09/2025 17:14

FGS the new site is so problematic for me.

cloudjumper · 26/09/2025 17:49

New Fred, yay!

@HeidiLite thank you for the tip with the vinegar against the mould smell! I soaked the trousers overnight and washed afterwards, and I'm happy to report that the smell is now very faint. I reckon I'll repeat this again, and then hopefully, I can wear them.

I'm feeling cold as well, and I have to admit that I have turned the heating on 😳But it's been less than 10 degrees here in the last few days, so I feel justified.

Aimingdown · 26/09/2025 18:07

Thanks for the shiny new thread!

I’m also feeling the cold much more, but enjoying not feeling overheated when I go into a warm building. Also can now button all the coats that I wouldn’t admit were too small 😎

Jins · 26/09/2025 18:31

Hi all. Yes it was me that felt ‘thinner’. Sadly today I feel fatter so I’m glad I’m several days away from my scales.

Holiday has been fab. Meeting my friend was awesome. We first met 50 years ago but haven’t seen much of each other over the last 40. It was as if we’d never been apart.

Food is excellent. So pleased I’m coeliac as I’d be struggling with the bread, cakes and pastries. Although yesterday evening I made a complete pig of myself with caramel filled macarons.

Quiet day planned for tomorrow as quite honestly we’re knackered.

myladyjane · 26/09/2025 19:13

Well hello sailors

DGonMJ · 26/09/2025 21:34

Thanks @meatyryvita loving your commitment to keep us all chatting!

Morning 🌄 losers!
I've hit a new low weight this morning- so strange after so much angst getting to my previous goal 🤔
Going to a pilates workshop this morning. Looking forward to it then probably take DS for lunch unless he has other plans by then.
Happy Saturday everyone xx

PenelopesPursuitPrevails · 27/09/2025 08:00

Morning, well done @BreezyPeer , enjoy your workshop. A morning of gardening here I think. Lots to tidy up outside and it’s meant to be dry here this morning.

myladyjane · 27/09/2025 08:42

Morning my autumn conkers.

well done @BreezyPeer and enjoy your Pilates workshop. My mother is a devotee and slippery as an eel so I have the envy!

@PenelopesPursuitPrevails I would say enjoy the gardening but it’s the devils pursuit so happy tidying.

i need to get up (but mr Jane does insist on those teas in bed) and clean the bathroom then off for a mooch around the shops and some lunch just us two. I am thinking I will finally download the free trial of the peloton app so a bit of playing on that then strictly, tv binge with dds and bed. Quite looking forward to my day tbh.

shopping wise I have realised I need colour! I am not a neutrals girl really. So hoping I can find a luridly bright sweatshirt/jumper somewhere.

I have the Peloton app and I love it. Helps to find instructors you like. Used it so much when I was travelling for work, could do body weight workouts in hotel rooms, or treadmill sessions if there was hotel gym, and sleep meditation to help me fall asleep when the jet lag was keeping me up. Now I use it for yoga, stretching, strength classes (in between bike rides).

DGonMJ · 27/09/2025 09:27

Well done @BreezyPeer!

I’m maintaining - woohoo - have increased from the worrying low two weeks ago, but slightly lower than last week’s peak. I’ve still not jabbed so I’m on day 11 today on a 2.5mg. Might do a 2.25mg tonight and get back to jabbing weekly. I may have run out of clicks on my 5mg pen.

After tracking every gram during weight loss, I’ve no idea what my maintenance calories are, I’m mostly eating when I’m hungry and till I’m full - and trying to be sensible in the evenings. Last night I was still hungry after dinner, and could have easily eaten a second portion of beef stew and dumplings (which I would have done pre-MJ), but went for a bowl of Greek yog with fig, honey and nuts instead.

myladyjane · 27/09/2025 09:40

@DGonMJ that’s kind of the secret isn’t it. I watch my kids and my dh eat (none of whom struggle with their weight, the opposite in fact) and they eat to their hunger. So I think you are winning - you needed more so you ate more but you made the sensible choice.

Thelittlestranger · 27/09/2025 09:45

I've gone the other way - I stopped tracking in June to try and eat mindfully, and have been managing it well. But I think my paranoia about starting to eat more coming off it has made me start to track again. I want to see where my limits are now so that I can stay within them. Going to do for a couple of weeks and then stop again.

We are away for the weekend with some friends and did the usual first night excitement, so am nursing a slightly sore head before we set off walking for the day.

HeidiLite · 27/09/2025 09:53

Happy Saturday! I had plans to go to gym for a Bodyattack class this morning, but kids got back from their school trip past midnight, so we all slept in. Have dinner plans with friends later, but otherwise just regular weekend chores.

Might pack away the summer clothes, shows 19 degrees for next week, but certainly too cold for summer dresses and shorts. And of course then need more winter clothes, but I really want to have a 'curated' wardrobe and not one consisting of random items I though were cute, or a dozen of things that are effectively different versions of the same item - how many navy tops does one person need really?

@HeidiLite ive been trying to curate a nice wardrobe a bit more and get good quality classic items. I recommend Palome for excellent knitwear - they use the downtime of designer artisans to make beautiful cashmere and merino sweaters and cardigans. Gorgeous stuff!
