@DidILeaveTheGasOn That looks lush 😋

Gingercar · 02/09/2025 14:46

I noticed on our sponsored walk this weekend that I could happily walk and talk while going up a hill that I previously used to have to pause halfway up! It’s a nice feeling!

tostaky · 02/09/2025 15:07

@Gingercar @DidILeaveTheGasOn it is so nice isnt it to feel fitter and better in our own bodies. It makes me sad to think about how obesity impact so many aspects of our lives in such a negative way.
@notgonnafail
good luck with your new scales!

I had one meeting today, took lots of paracetamol beforehand and still felt like death… i am struggling to get better, it is insane. I have never been so ill… Going back to work tomorrow and honestly i feel like throwing a sicky….

I also need to eat… i have not had lunch today yet and still not hungry. I might whip up some eggs quickly.
@DidILeaveTheGasOnthat sounds like a nice soup… i dont like being an adult because i have to cook for myself!!! I wish someone cooked for me… unfortunately it is a big feminist fail on my side that i have been cooking for four men for the past 20 years or so every f….. day….. Things need to change! 😅

Pleasantly surprised that I didn’t gain this last week, went away for a few days and there were lots of meals out and many glasses of wine. I was really expecting to go up several pounds. There was plenty of exercise and I had a good day yesterday that has probably flushed the extra water weight away. Just amazed. I do need to get more on track again as my losses have slowed in the last month but still going down. I’m getting really close to 2.5 stone loss and breaking the 13st mark. I think that also takes me to my halfway point. Should be there by next week if I stay focussed.

I'm trying to keep shopping to a minimum but it’s so nice being back down to a size 16 as you can buy clothes in so many more shops. I have plenty of tops that will fit for a while but my jeans are looking a little sad so I bought some new ones on holiday. They do fit but just a tiny bit snug for my liking but at least I know they will fit me for a while. I think I might need to clear out some of my wardrobe of the clothes that are now too big.

Gingercar · 02/09/2025 16:07

@tostaky I don’t know if I feel amazed or shocked sometimes- my friend’s toddler weighs 2 stones and I can’t carry him for long. Yet I’ve been carrying the equivalent of three of him around for decades. One toddler down, two more toddlers to shift!

tostaky · 02/09/2025 16:16

@Gingercar🤣🤣🤣 “one toddler down, two more to shift!” Thats going to be my motto now!

BerfyTigot · 02/09/2025 19:15

Weighed in this morning and stayed the same again. If I'm honest, I've stopped trying very hard and have reduced my dose to avoid side effects. But not getting the benefit.

Anyway I'll be back into my routine again next week, so hope things will be easier.

My big news is an NSV. I have rheumatoid arthritis and one of the medications I take requires monthly blood tests. Pleased to report that my inflammatory markers (CRP) are down to 22. So not normal, but a great result for me.

Anyone know who i can report this great result to? I feel someone needs to know GP not really interested and I'm not due to see rheumatologist for a year 😕

Seahorsesplendour · 02/09/2025 19:36

@DidILeaveTheGasOn glad you're feeling better!!

thanks for today’s chuckle too!!! Can always count on you!!! Also identify with what you said about Booths!!! 😂🤣😂

@notgonnafail they are amazing NSV’s!!!!

@Gingercar you're so right my 7 year old is 3st 7lb so I’ve almost lost what he weighs and I refuse to carry him as he’s too heavy!!! 🤣😂🤣 better not tell him or he’ll be thinking he can get carried more!!!

@BerfyTigot that’s incredible!!! Really great NSV!!! Can you feel the difference? Hopefully the weight loss will follow for you! Sounds like your body has been working hard on other stuff!!!!

topping up with my extra jab this week has made a big difference!! I will be weighing on sat and am hoping for a loss!!! 🤞🏻

Seahorsesplendour · 02/09/2025 19:38

Ooh forgot my little NSV I accidentally put my smart watch into the 3rd hole on the strap!!!! After few mins I thought that’s a bit tight & realised why!! Before MJ could barely fasten it at all!!!

@Gingercar yes! I want to measure my weight loss in terms of toddlers from now on!

MyScaredCat · 02/09/2025 22:19

Love all the NSVs! Well done everyone

VashtaNerada · 03/09/2025 01:45

My side effects have been terrible over the last few weeks but I’m still not losing weight! (I did to begin with but it’s plateaued now). Have ordered a 7.5 pen but lying here feeling sick wondering if that’s a big mistake. Hate this feeling. Dreading work in the morning.

Seahorsesplendour · 03/09/2025 06:07

@VashtaNerada I'm sorry that sounds tough! I hope the plateau ends soon for you! Are you planning on creeping up to 7.5 slowly?

hope you got some sleep and don’t feel too bad today! ❤️‍🩹

notgonnafail · 03/09/2025 08:02

New scales have me 0.5kg heavier than old ones (weighed on both this morning, and rather a shame as old ones had me below 107kg again today!) Still, onwards and downwards!

Kbr22 · 03/09/2025 09:05

Big mistake weighed myself today when Friday is my weigh in day and have got to 70.9kg, so pleased but now worried that come Friday it will be back to 71.7!!!! @notgonnafail I had this as when I came to Spain my scales here had me at 0.5kg heavier, but I just went with them.
So happy with all the NSV of everyone, these are so important, I can get into most 14 tops and shorts now, I am using ones from 4 years ago, and don’t want to buy anything more until I am a 12. Never been a 12 since my 20’s so here’s hoping!! Have a good day everyone x

PinkScot · 03/09/2025 10:43

My weigh in day today and I've lost 1/2 a pound. I'm definitely slowing down now but it's not been a perfect week eating wise, nothing major but I could sense a few times a little slip in my rigid discipline!! The mounjaro is still working really well though, 7.5 on the third month of it now and still good effects.
Onwards and downwards I am back on the straight and narrow and hoping to have a whoosh or even a woo next week :)

PinkScot · 03/09/2025 10:48

Just on another side topic anyone having problems with sitting? My bum has disappeared almost - and sitting on a hard chair is so uncomfortable now - I was at the gym with my daughter yesterday (something I never thought I would say!) and even the exercise bike was killing my bum 😮. I can feel my tail bone when I sit for longer periods than ten minutes and getting comments from the family on my haiving no bum whatsoever - they find it hilarious! I am hoping my tum starts to go next as I have a stone and one pound to go to goal and if I lose any more off my bum I will have to carry a cushion around with me at all times 😆

SutekhsEars · 03/09/2025 11:14

I think mounjaro-bum is a 'thing' ☹️
Maybe try some squats?

SussexLass87 · 03/09/2025 12:00

Mounjaro bum! I'm dead. This is brilliant. I love all our random problems that are coming from actually losing weight 😂😂

My DH's shorts keep falling down...I'll have to check out his behind later!

SussexLass87 · 03/09/2025 12:03

Random Tuesday musings...is anyone getting burps after drinking water?

I'm finding I can't quickly drink water from my bottle or a glass... it's got to be gentle little dainty sips. Anything else and it's heartburn and burps!

Also! I'm looking older. Really not okay about this one!? 😂 Everyone assumes I'm much younger than DH, when we're actually the same age, it's a nice little ego boost I won't lie.

I think the weight was puffing out my wrinkles?! 😂

MyScaredCat · 03/09/2025 12:36

I have mounjaro bum! Very attractive 🙄 Sitting for any length of time is uncomfortable.

weigh day for me and it was another 2.5 off, breaking the 3 stone barrier by 1/2lb. 3rd jab done where I titrated down to 2.5mg. Minimal suppression so I’m all impressed again this week. Have 5lbs to go to hit target and then maintaining is my focus. Have a few weeks left in this pen and I’m then done

ElsieJay · 03/09/2025 13:43

Good afternoon from sunny Cyprus ! 😎
Thanks for all the good wishes, much appreciated.
Was a long day yesterday, luckily slept most of the way so not tempted by the in-flight food options - DD had stocked our fridge with some basics so had scrambled egg (plus toast for DH) and an early night.
Did a food shop this morning, no joy finding fat free cottage cheese or,bizarrely, 0% fat yoghurt of the brand I prefer.
Bought frozen prawns (there were fresh, but I hate dealing with all the legs, shell and head 😱and DH flatly refuses to do it) and a ready-roasted chicken for convenience. Salad stuff and fruit, and some carby treats for DH.
Am determined not to go home having gained weight this time!
Hoping for Mounjaro Bum … 🤣.
We’re on the coast approx 1.5 hours drive from DD and family, who’ll be down on Friday afternoon - can’t wait.
Expect Friday will be barbecue at theirs, I know they’ve booked a restaurant for Saturday evening so need to be as moderate as possible on the days and nights I can control.
Well done to all the losers, especially the soon-to-be -at target ones ! 🎯 🏆

ElsieJay · 03/09/2025 13:47

Aaaah, @VashtaNerada - just read your post , so sorry you’re felling rotten.
Am assuming you’re on 5mg at the moment?
Hope you’re feeling much better very soon. 💐 x

@MyScaredCat wow! So impressive! How are you keeping up the big losses so close to goal, if you don’t mind my asking? I’m nowhere near goal but can’t seem to lose more than 1.5lbs most weeks (with still another 30lb to go).
