Lovely losses folks. I got a parkrun pb this morning - which was good because I think my mini whoosh was diarrhoea related as was a kg heavier this morning 😂😂😂

@TheSpoonyNavyReaderI think losses really slow down as you get closer to goal weight, mine definitely did and that seems to be the same for a lot of people. Over a stone since the end of May is still a lot.

Maintaining going ok here. I’ve upped my calories again to a bit more than the TDEE calculators say I need, which has levelled me off now, I think I’m just more active than I think I am. The amazing thing is I seem to be able to eat carbs without gaining now, providing I keep plate composition protein heavy. I used to gain really quickly if I even looked at carbs.

Checking in on the new thread. Feels like I’ve scored two milestones at once - lost 15 kg and now just below 90kg! Very satisfying to see an 8 in the front!
last few weeks have been though, I’ve either not lost at all or gained lots! It’s only now moving again. ChatGTP had to talk me down 😅 Apparently a stall is very frequent after you lose 10-15% of your initial body weight and you adjusts. We’ve also been away camping for a week and any attempts and low carbs went right out of the tent. Mostly because it wasn’t very warm at night and my body really needed fuel. I took over a week to start burning through the weight again.

On the price hike side, I’m with WePrescribe and I was due to order another pen anyway. They had to stop price matching which is annoying as I was paying £105 since March! But they do allow two pen orders so I’ve ordered 2x 7.5. I’m on 5mg so this will last over three months. I will try to save up more by then and go up the dose as high as I can to stretch it out a bit. If I stay on track, I should be done losing by early next year so we’ll see what happens. I’m also hoping oral glp-1s will pass trials soon and this whole price hike malarkey will be history.

Finally had a little whoosh. 2.5lb loss this week after bobbing around at a similar weight for a couple of weeks post-holiday. Now down to 10st 7.5lb, which means I’ve finally got to (just over) a 2st loss since starting MJ. very slow loss compared to some others, but im
getting there eventually

I suspect I might plateau here for a bit as 10st 4-7lb was a relatively consistent weight for me until late 2021. I‘m not buying more MJ beyond the two pens I have in the fridge. I only wanted max another half stone off anyway so if I stay around my current weight then it’s not the end of the world.

Is anyone here using a green powder supplement? I’m a bit worried about my nutrition. I feel im eating very little but I’m only losing 1lb per week so can’t up my calories. I’m only 5’2” so my bmr is quite low and I’m perimenopausal (age 49).

Well done everyone - this is such a great support space and I don’t know any of you in person but feel extremely proud of all our journeys.

So I was bouncing around the same couple of pounds for what felt like weeks and then hit just below the next stone bracket the day I left which was such a good boost to leave on.

I was expecting a half stone gain but am amazed to say that I had only put on half a pound and a week after getting home I am now 5lb down from that lowest weight!

I ate well in as much as I happily indulged when I fancied but was more mindful of the (usually) mindless grazing/empty calorie options when I didn’t feel all in on it. I was mostly in charge of breakfast and lunch options and could pack some protein in without too much hassle. I drank a lot more alcohol than I have in months but also kept up the walking and did some swimming. So I am absolutely thrilled.

SW 17st 4lb (109.5kg)
CW 12st 8.1 (79.9kg!!)
TW was 12st 4lb but would love to see the 11s.

i am in shock and so happy. I can look back on holiday photos and feel proud rather than scouring for the only one in hundreds that makes me look ok.

I've made a bit of a decision today. I think I'm done.

I've lost two stone give or take. I feel great. I've gone from a tight 14 to a comfortable 12. I look good in shorts. I can't see another 10lbs off is going to make me feel any better than I already do.

And I'm tired of the side effects. They're not anything major but they are starting to pee me off now. Mainly the constipation, hair loss and tiredness.

I've got one dose left in a 7.5mg pen so I'm going to split that over the next three weeks, carry on with my calorie counting and see where I end up.

I was 161lbs this morning. Down from 190. BMI 23 from 27. Blood pressure levelling out.

So I think I'm done. I will continue to weigh every day and give myself a couple of lbs leeway either way. I'll also continue to follow everyone's journey on this thread.

I might not have posted much but when I did I got tonnes of support so thank you all from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

If I do have to top up with MJ in the future, I feel well equipped to manage.

I'm similar @MJ122025 . I'm 5ft 8 and went from 182 to 162lbs. I'm pretty much a size 12, happy in shorts and all my clothes fit. BMI from 27.5 to 24.5 and my cholesterol has come down.

I took my 5th dose from a 5mg pen today but there is definitely some more there. If it's .3 ml that'll be my dose next week and I have a 2.5 pen in the fridge. After that I'm thinking of switching to Wegovy.
I'm hoping that titrating down will ease the SE - for me the most annoying is the vague low mood/energy. (Anhedonia)

My logic of maintenance on Wgvy isn't really cost. If W works on 1 aspect of hunger, but MJ on 2, I hoping the SE will be less. I hope to get to 2.5 every 10days maybe. We'll see.

I've lost before, as have so many of us. Gold member of WW, SW, low carb. But post menopause I found it impossible to lose. Anyway, I've regained before, and I just want to live. Eat healthily for the most part, some treats and not thinking about food much at all!

I use Huel green powders, they take some getting used to as they taste disgusting.

I had to hold my nose at first to get them down now they are just part of my morning routine. I would also say that do not take the full dose at first as they can cause 💩💩.

Having a bit of a panic this morning. I'm now at target weight and have 1 dose left in my 10mg pen. Went to order a new pen and mybmi (I'm in Ireland) is out of stock of everything over 5mg. Do I split that dose and give myself 5mg for the next 2 weeks and order a 5mg for maintenance or split the dose and just go cold turkey when the pen is gone. My weight has been bobbing up and down a lot over the last month, and does seem to be very affected by salty foods and exercise making me retain water (as there’s no way I’ve eaten enough of a deficit to lose 3.5lbs in a week). However, according to Shotsy, I average between 0.9-1lb a week loss and that feels in line with what I’m eating/exercising.

Like many of you, I’m wondering what to do when the Mounjaro price rises come into play. I’ve probably got enough of a stash due to be delivered to do which will last till the end of the year as I’ve got a 3 week holiday coming up and won’t be taking my pen with me. I’m being bombarded with Slimpod adverts on Facebook now and might take a punt on that since I’ve not experienced suppression like many of you have; I’ve just lost the desire to snack mindlessly. It seems like Slimpod might help control that part of my brain which would be better in the long run.

However, I imagine stock of MJ might become more readily available soon after 1 September when people in the UK aren’t buying to stockpile?

Congratulations to those at or nearly at goal. I'm very nearly half way to goal which is very exciting and I'm finally starting to start to notice the difference. Since I passed the 2 stone loss mark (currently 2 stone 5 lost) my clothes are suddenly getting bigger and I've been ordering stuff from vinted in my usual 18-20 size and it's swamping me! So maybe changes are happening. DH says he can definitely see the difference.

I'm a bit worried about the price increase, I don't want to try wegovy as I chose mj over wegovy as mj is better and it's working so well on my brain I can't believe how different I feel around food it's like freedom in my head. I'm going to try to pick up some more hours at work to afford carrying on with mj. I'm only on 6.25mg from a 7.5 pen so not as bad price as 15 etc for now

I’ll be glad to be rid of the SEs. After having two weeks off on holiday and then a couple of weeks at low doses (2.5/3.75) I have really noticed the SEs since getting back to 5mg - much more than when I was taking 5mg before the holiday. Day 1 and 2 I feel really nauseatingly hungry all the time - a painful hunger like I’ve left it too long to eat and now my blood sugar has dropped too low and I feel sick but need to eat. But it isn’t that I haven’t eaten because I make sure I eat little and often and doesn’t go away when I do eat. Then i have on-off low level nausea feeling for the rest of the week. I struggle to make plans to exercise because I just don’t know if I’m going to feel like it.

I’ve got one more 5mg dose left in this pen. Then I’ve got a 7.5mg and 5mg pen in the fridge. So I think I might use the 7.5 pen to go back to 3.75 dose and then titrate down through 2.5 and 1.25 with the 5mg pen. That will take me through to the end of the year but hopefully with less SEs. I’m not quite at target but if I lose a little bit more or stay where I am then I am actually okay with that.

@EchoNova is the last dose the extra in the pen or your fourth dose?
If it's the 5th dose I think I would be tempted to take 7.5 mg so not as big a drop then take 2.5mg the week after which takes you to 1st September and as soon as the next pen arrives take some more part way through that week. That way you are not completely without. If it's your 4th dose buy some needles and extra the last dose to buy some more time.
