Someone in the last thread (can’t remember who) had a friend who was saying they looked gaunt etc and said alright Janice calm down.

I also have had 2 Janice’s tell me to stop losing weight as I do not look well but they are my daughters and were told to be quiet.

Ahh haha I get it! 😂 I thought it might have been a bossy poster on your thread that you had to keep ssshhhing 😆

Yes all the Janice’s can def do one! I am too large to be on the radar of any yet, but am sure there’ll be one or two waiting in the wings if I do eventually ever get close to normal weight (with head tipped to the side and concerny-face)

@TheSpoonyNavyReader 😁Brancaster sandals are my fave, in navy and tan if you're asking lol, I unfortunately can't afford them really, nor the holidays we spend in their namesake in Norfolk, scoffing oysters at the white horse but hey ho ya gotta have some luxuries 👡👢👠🤣

I have been scoffing oysters in Whitstable today and I may have been wearing Fairfax today….

The skirt that I bought that could never fit into that now fits and maybe a little on the big size was purchased to go with a blazer and boots of a certain brand, even the boots got a little snug.

We should organise a March 2025 thread meet up and we would now each other by wearing Fairfax… lol 🤣

Love my Brans!! 😂 scared to try my boots as I'm concerned that they'll be too big for me.

Well, I was umm'ing and ahh'ing about ordering another pen as I'm nearly at target and have 4 weeks left. Have been on holiday so missed to hoo-ha. Would rather buy some more F&F so won't be ordering further pens. Fingers crossed I maintain ok!

Fairfaxandflavor · 16/08/2025 19:49

@TheSpoonyNavyReader Fabulous! Haven't been to the White horse In Brancaster in a while, but it's my absolute fave for the oyster scoffing, well jel of your oyster scoffing today, and I bet you looked fab. Little bleeders are low cal too, plus they make my husband gag😂 so it's win win and more for moi, love the idea of a f and f club, like a secret society, The Janice bashing, boot / sandal loving March mounjaro starters thread, christ that's a mouthful 😂

Puddingpiper · 16/08/2025 19:50

For the fairfax fans I highly recommend the Boudica boots for autumn. I’m currently eyeing up the moss green ones.

NSV here I finally managed to fasten a pair of Zara jeans granted they are snug and a size 18 whereas I have some 16s with other brands that are a bit loose.

Can we get a special handshake? I was in Brancaster (place, not sandals) only yesterday...relatively local to me. You can't move for F&F round here!

The Boudica are my faves. Apart from the bloody awful "blush" colour

Checking in and thanks for the new thread. Since March I haven’t had the diarrhoea/ puking SE, just hair loss and FREEZING.

Until yesterday …. And massively annoying timing as away visiting a friend.

had to excuse myself from the dinner table last night and just made it to her bathroom where I projectile vommed and have subsequently spent the night on the loo. Less than ideal

urgh. Feeling a bit sorry for myself tbh as this was a rare night away

anyway

and price hikes will be an issue. Not really sure what to do - have 7kg ish to go have lost 21. I look much better but I do still want to lose the last bit

Bipaloss · 17/08/2025 09:50

Hi all

weekly weigh in week 22 completed

stayed the same this week, which I’m ok with as was hungrier then normal (starving 2 days before jab day) and had a full portion of Chinese last night . Plus week before TOTM and this week I never lost anything previosly.

had a discussion with DH and he wants me to continue with my original plan , although he is happy with my weight before and now he said this might be the thing that helps you if you quit cold turkey well that will be too tough and money might be completely wasted . He said continue up to highest dose then tilter down slowly even if it’s going to cost around 1k more in total he said it’s worth it . feel supported, but hope that 12.5 and 15 really works with loads of whoshes ahead and that it happens quickly

Flamethrowers · 17/08/2025 10:01

Feels so angry about price increase - it feels deeply unethical to put profit so clearly above health in this way.and cojkd mead to people stopping at high doses and not tiratibg down and piking weight back on -!2)7,$ hits us and then nhs and will be fucjing awful for mental health. I really don’t want to come off yet - I was hoping to stay on a low dose of 1.75 until Xmas which is an extra thousand pounds now.
can someone summarise for me where we are with ordering from suppliers? I out an order in around four days ago but haven’t hear back yet

My supplier takes orders but cannot guarantee August deliveries (ordered Wednesday before the news and arrived Friday, so thankful I did) . Ordered another pen from another supplier as a new customer and said 5 days for clinical approvals , think it will be declined in the end as got a 60£ discount code reducing a 15 pen to 145£ (amount still pending in account too) but let’s see (ordered Thursday evening)

museumum · 17/08/2025 10:36

I’m torn between worry about the price increase and just being sooo grateful I started in March and it is entirely 100% due to you lot that I was brave enough to do so. So thank you. I’m with Lloyd and they’re not taking new customers and are not allowing bulk ordering so they can keep existing customers on the current price as long as possible. I really like that ethical stance and they’ve gone up in my opinion due to that.
live got my next pen on its way and I think after that I’ll need two to three more to reach my target (which is actually still a little overweight bmi 26 but I am very muscular and feel good at that weight). I am now really quite worried about maintenance though. I had planned to titrate down doses gradually but I’m not sure I can afford to now. These increases are likely to result in me going off script I think by counting clicks and using a pen for a lot longer than 30 days.

TheSpoonyNavyReader · 17/08/2025 10:41

All this talk of the price increases and providers now not allowing you to buy more than one pen I have done something that I never thought I would I went to a nurse who my Botox lady uses and bought 3 pens off her to be delivered, I am close to my goal I really wanted to go into maintenance going slowly down the doses and staying in 1.25 for a good year.

W24 weigh in and now at 10st 10lb (again) with a BMI of 24.95. I’m back in the same place I was 6 weeks ago before the 3 week trip to the US, a couple of weeks off MJ, and then progressing up through 2.5 and 3.75mg doses to get back to 5mg.

The price rise news has put things into perspective though. I ‘could’ possibly afford it, but I don’t think I want to pay it. I’ve reflected and if I had to stop tomorrow then I’d be okay with the weight I am now. I’m at the top end of the weight range I held for years and I had a NSV this week in buying new jeans in a 27 & 28 inch waist which is the same size I used to buy before the weight went on. I would like to get another 1/2 stone off. I’m not sure my frame could handle much more than that anyway - I genuinely do seem to be quite big/heavy boned!

I’m also getting fed up of how MJ makes me feel. It has left me quite unmotivated or feeling too unwell (nauseous/light-headed/stomach issues) to exercise. My normal routine was to run 30-35 miles, but on MJ I can only face about 15-20 miles a week. So I’ve gone from fit but fat, to thinner but less fit! I need to sort that out! The last few weeks where I’ve was off/v.low doses have shown me that I feel much more ‘normal’ in terms of nausea etc and the 5mg this week has left me with nausea/upset stomach again.

I have 2 doses left in a 5mg pen and two more pens in the fridge (7.5mg/5mg). So I think I’ll use the 7.5mg pen to try to shift the extra half a stone (not sure I dare go higher than 5mg though, maybe 6.25mg as a final push) and then use the other pen to titrate down.

I think that could take me to about mid-December, but then that makes me think I’d maybe want to get another pen to see me through Xmas on a really low dose to help manage the excesses and make sure I get to January in a good place to stop completely.

@TheSpoonyNavyReader how much have you paid for those? Are you sure they are safe? I've heard stories about all manner of things in fake mj pens eg water or pure insulin.

They are definitely real, the prescriber that prescribes them is the same that prescribes for the clinic where I get my Botox done.

Thanks @TheSpoonyNavyReader for the new thread 🙂

Waving to @popdepop my starting date twin 🙂 I get my syringes from ukmedi, do not buy from Amazon etc they are not sterile. Ukmedi have been great for me and if you sign up for the newsletter you get 10% off your first order. I'll put a link in post below

Weigh day for me only 5 days since my last weigh day as with it being summer I'm out of routine so just weighing when I'm in a boots! A pound off but I'm on my period so am pleased with that. esp as it's summer hols so we naturally have more days out/treat meals/takeaway etc

For price increase I've got 3 doses left of my current pen then ordered one more. I'm currently on 7.5 but only taking 6.25 at the moment. I think with the price increase I may have to drop to 5mg I'll see what the prices are down September. I'm also trying to up my hours at work to afford MJ!

Height 5 foot
Started 21 march

SW 14-7
CW 12-2
GW 11-7 as mini goal. Final goal possibly 9-7.

thank you @Fatmumslim01 pleased to report it 'only' put on 3 pounds following holiday and im hoping some of it is water weight! happy with that.
ill have a look at the link as definitely need to make use of the golden dose now.

Lollzi86 · 17/08/2025 15:10

Back to pre holiday weight (actually 0.2kg lighter today). I only have 2 doses left in this pen, will then miss 2 doses as going to the USA and did not want to feel rubbish so plan was to always skip. When I get back I’ll see what the position is then, I still have 1.5 stone to go really, possibly 2 (3 stone 8 pounds down off starting weigh atm). If I need to go on wegovy as MJ has been priced out for me then so be it.

Update from me.

I've been off MJ since May, when I had thyroid surgery, but have continued to follow your stories, enjoy your successes and cheer you on silently through your struggles!

I decided to stop, partly because I was happy with where I'd got to, and also because of the surgery. Thankfully there was no cancer and I got the okay to resume MJ if needed, but was happy with where I'd gotten to, how I looked and how I was feeling in myself. Which was full of confidence, with the belief that I could maintain and with lots of healthy new habits.

Unfortunately, after a couple of good holidays and a relaxed summer, I find that the weight is creeping back on, I've gained 5-6 pounds. I've almost pressed the button so many times in the last few weeks and finally did so last night, I have ordered the starter dose, going back onto 2.5mg, for just one month (hopefully 5 doses) to try to get back to goal, and more importantly, tif I get good suppression, to use that time to reestablish some good habits (drinking more water, higher protein, curb the sweet tooth that has crept back). I will approach coming back off MJ with much more caution next time.

I wanted to share my experience, in the hope that those of you ready to stop (or feeling pressure to stop due to price increases) can be more vigilant that I was and will therefore maintain better than I did!

I also wanted to reconnect with the group, to feel that I am back in the midst of the generous and supportive environment that helped me so much last time.

I haven’t posted on these threads since May! I only just heard about the price increase and now I’m worried, I’ll have to try wegovy and hope for the best! Does anyone know when the price is increasing? I’m hoping I’ll be able to get another MJ pen before it goes up. A lot of places are out of stock 😟

Anyway, I started at 19st 12lbs on 30th March and am now 14st 13lbs, I’ve lost just under 5st now 😎 I’ve managed to drop 11 BMI points and my BMI is now 34 so now I’ll finally be able to get my tubes removed which I’m REALLY happy about!

We started around the same weight and I reached 9st 10 lbs im now 10 stone.
your experience was my exorience after just 2.5 weeks off it.
Even three days post my last injection I find I’m still hungry and my sweet and carb tooth has returned. I’ve let things slip these last few months- I am not exercising as much and things like coffee and the odd glass of wine have crept back. It’s clearly all adding up as I stalled and then gained. The new price hike is so worrying as I wanted to stay on this for a while longer

It's so hard, I don't want to be a statistic, one of the % who regain as soon as they're off it. I'm taking some hope from the fact that I was able to maintain a stable weight for a couple of years after I lost weight previously. I think we just have to find ways of managing the cravings etc and recognising that it will creep back on if we don't stay vigilant and really try to maintain good habits!

EchoNova · 18/08/2025 08:32

I haven't posted on here in a while!!

I'm back from my 10 day all inclusive holiday (took my jab on a Tuesday as normal) flew out on the Thursday and then skipped a week as I didn't bring it with me) and Jabbed when I was back. I only put on 4lbs which I'm thrilled with - I'm back 3 weeks now and I've lost 5lbs since then so I'm below my target weight.

I have 2 more injections left in my 10mg pen so I may split those and do 5mg injections for the next 4 weeks and then stop completely. I'm really happy with my weight at the moment but really need to tone up so I'm going to focus on the gym. I'm weighing myself each day ( I really have to do this to keep myself on track). So hoping I'll be able to maintain going forward.

Starting Weight - 13st 7lbs
Current Weight - 10st 1lb.
(23 weeks of injections)
