Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we list old clothes on vinted, give thanks for MJ as we enjoy a far more comfortable Summer significantly lighter. We now wear ALL the damn shorts 💪🏻

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and our lowest stone brackets!

I’m on W35 D2 and on my fourth 7.5mg pen
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10.6lbs
GW 9st 7lb
Total loss so far 56.4 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

Hey guys. What a bloody week, eh?

After a few days of soul searching, I have decided I'll be sticking with Mounjaro for the foreseeable future. I'm loathe to give Lilly my money tbh, after this trick, but the impact upon my health has been revolutionary and I've decided that probably tips the balance. I'm very lucky in that my pay rise due September should cover most of the additional. I'll have to be a little more careful in terms of other spending (goodbye taxis and takeaway coffee) but it's doable if not ideal.

My plans for maintenance will probably have to change. I had made my peace with being on some form of Mounjaro for life but I don't think I could justify these prices indefinitely. So the plan is to stick on Mounjaro until the weight is fully gone and then for another year. Then I'll either titrate down or consider Wegovy for maintenance depending on what the situation is by that point.

What a pisser eh?

Total pisser. Hopefully something better will come along in a year and we'll all switch to that. Meanwhile sales of Wegovy have gone up by 600% since the announcement was made, so it does look as if EL have shot themselves in the foot in the short term at least. I have zero sympathy though!

Guess who was very foolish and indulged in lots of crispy duck skin yesterday? And is now paying the price….

(it was so tasty! I’m a fool!)

(in other news, I definitely don’t need colonic irrigation)

Lol. I made a crispy duck for the family for lunch on Saturday. It was delish. No adverse effects for me though!

Ooh crispy duck! I can’t remember when I last had that. Might have it as a special treat sometime if it can have that impact @Goldleafcat 😂

In happier news I have just got a load of emails from Oushk. One says we can push back the delivery dates and they will honour all the pricing of orders placed until 29 August. Thank god for that as going away next week and delivery was scheduled for the day before….

Oushk was getting a really hard time on the angry thread last week. I suspect from people who haven't used them....! That seems none than fair I think. Mine is supposed to arrive Friday I think?

I seem to have recovered now. I had something similar after a duck skin related indulgence previously so it definitely seems to be a thing.

I’ve got left over duck which I’m using in a risotto tonight so hopefully I’ll be ok with that. Made a stock with the carcass which does smell lovely so hopefully my body can cope 🤣

Yup Mrs CoastingMcCoastFace here 😂 Time to up my game definitely for that final push to goal. I've dusted off my treadmill and repositioned it by my desk to make those movement snacks almost unavoidable.

Good for you!

I've started 'Love is blind UK" on Netflix as my treadmill watch this week. Judge away, but I love shite telly and each episode provides 50-57mins of walking time 💪

I made DH a protein shake earlier which I had some of. 4 tbsp of PB Fit powder (just peanuts), a banana, 2 tsp of cocoa powder, 1 tbs of maple syrup and a pint of whole milk. It gave him 40g of protein in his serving. He was on a call when I gave it to him but he sent a message of thanks describing it as 'very Peppa Pig' in this house that means deeeeelicious 😂He can't exercise so needs to keep his protein levels up so his muscle wastage is minimal. I can confirm that it was very tasty and very filling.

I just went to the local supermarkets to shop up on a few bits. Managed to get Oti Mabuse leggings in the sale at Sainsbury's (2 pairs, £4.50 each in a size XS) and then a tennis skort in Tesco which looks very Sweaty Betty for a fiver 💪

I don't get the hate (or the mad love). I've found them pretty decent as suppliers and seem to do their best to keep their customers informed. In terms of the inspection they had the same rules in terms of checking (and probably a couple more) than when I was with Ashcroft who don't get any criticism. I think the problem is that the relationship between you and your medical advisors needs to be honest so they can give you the best evidence based advice they can, but people have gone crazy over mj and lie. Doesn't mean that the vast majority aren't taking it in the way it's meant to be used though.

Same. I've used them from the start but the relationship I have with them is transactional rather than emotional...

PresidentBarklett · 18/08/2025 18:24

I'm with Oushk too - switched to them with maintenance in mind a few months ago. I think they're fine - communication pretty good, appreciate the lives they do etc.

Some very intense customers though, and whilst I get that Hira is personable and competent and can appreciate that she is also very glamorous and polished, I do find the fangirling from adult women a little... odd? Icky? I don't know. She seems good at what she does and nothing against her, but you know what I mean, I hope.

I think they've done ok with all this, but some mis-steps along the way. Jumping on to do a live on the afternoon the news broke to reassure and offer clarity? Good. Telling customers to stockpile? Not so good perhaps in hindsight, although I think well-meaning. It seems that now they are in an incredibly difficult situation trying to keep up with the demand of the orders and vanishing stock. The FB page has been closed and the Circle app has gone utterly batshit. Everyone has...a lot of feelings on there right now.

DarkForces · 18/08/2025 19:03

Completely agree @PresidentBarklett. They seem to have attracted some very vocal customers and trying to placate them leads to missteps

I now have one arriving Thursday, one in September an one in October. I have taken before and after shots of everything- so lots of timestamps. Otherwise I would have too many imho in my fridge at once. Most pharmacies have restocked. None want to be left with stuff they can’t sell as quite a few people seem to be switching sooner rather than later to Wegovy. I will work through my pens and listen to the Wegovy switchers before making my decision early next year. By then Eli Lilly may well have thought ‘fuuuccckkk what have we done’ or maybe not.. It’s a war that will be won or lost on social media and chat rooms.

There was an article, sorry can’t find the link, saying there was going to be a weight loss trial using soup and shakes in Scotland as WLIs are so expensive. As we all know WLIs are a support tool and we all have to do some heavy lifting for the jabs to work. The NHS can’t afford for people to be on them for ever who don’t make the necessary lifestyle changes.

Pumpkinforever · 18/08/2025 19:43

@Oceangrey yes my relationship with Oushk is transactional

@DarkForces @PresidentBarklett they have attracted some strange customers. I am pleased they have shut their fb group as at times it’s nuts. Their Circle group is all about Hira would take my calls? I think it is because Hira and the gang are up to their eyeballs in MJ orders. They had over 3000 emails last week. I don’t think some followers actually understand the volume of business that Oushk and others do. About a million and half people are taking MJ. Oushk will have more customers than the few hundred on the facebook group.

Agreed. I don't think they've entirely helped themselves by Hira being so 'present' over the last year as they've come to expect it. It probably worked really well when they were much smaller but tricky to keep up!

random223 · 18/08/2025 20:19

I am with those needing an extra push to move away from coasting and get to goal. Only problem is am on holiday and lots of eating out! We did do a 99 mile cycle ride over three days which I am hoping will have helped a little bit.

DarkForces · 18/08/2025 20:24

I think that oushk's key mistake is trying to keep their most intense customers happy rather than focusing on creating a consistent approach and brand. My best advice to my senior team is often to take a walk before making a decision. It's too easy to react

I agree. Far too many think they are best friends with Hira. People totally forget she may have over 20,000 plus customers and there is not way she is bff’s with them all. Not all her customers will be on fb or even circle.
