Welcome to thread 12 fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we list old clothes on vinted, give thanks for MJ as we enjoy a far more comfortable Summer significantly lighter. We now wear ALL the damn shorts 💪🏻

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and our lowest stone brackets!

I’m on W35 D2 and on my fourth 7.5mg pen
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10.6lbs
GW 9st 7lb
Total loss so far 56.4 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

Thanks for the new thread!

I’m one pound off of a four stone loss, I still can hardly believe it 🤞

Height 5’5”
Starting weight: 14 stone
Current weight: 10 stone 1
Goal weight: 9 stone 10ish

Had my maintenance call with Oushk too today. Have one more 5mg pen left, once that’s used I’m going to tritate down over the next few months and see how I go 🤞

🥳 to approaching the 4 stone badge!

going into maintenance cold turkey after stomach issues. Currently 11 days since my last jab and 3mg left in my system according to Shotsy.

Hope you are feeling better today?

Reporting in for duty. On holiday this week trying to balance eating/walking/having fun. No scales this week but aiming to STS or limit the amount that goes on. Did an early jab by one day so I didn’t have to carry my pen.

Have a fab time!

Oooh thanks for the new thread @Mounjaropen Just marking my place. Up early to go to the gym but after spending the day in the garden yesterday moving plants and creating a new gravel section, I ache all over!

💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 I’m up early but mainly mainlining coffee and reading the papers in bed 😂

Whooo new thread. I'm still going strong - aiming for 8 stone in total but haven't said an end date. Switched from Voy to Oushk as £50 cheaper and thinking ahead to maintenance.

It'll happen when it happens but I think I'll get there now.

Well done! Lovely to get an update from you 🥰

Another thread! Summer hols have begun here in Ireland but don't have the usual fear of gaining while having fun with the kids. I'm down 4 stone 2lb, ideally want to lose 2 stone more and happy to let that take the rest of the year. Finally feeling slimmer this week and size 16s are fitting (I'm over 6ft so happy to be a 14 ultimately)

Such a positive update! 58lbs off is incredible! 👏👏👏

Thanks for the new thread!

I'm just back from 12 days in Spain, half board and the hotel food was lovely but still somehow lost 2lbs! Very enjoyable wearing all my nice summer clothes and not being too self conscious at the pool.

3lbs to go to BMI 24.9, I really need to look at a maintenance option now but I have another pen on the way from Medexpress in the meantime.

👏👏 look at us all on hols and putting on minimal weight. Amazing 🥰

Thanks for the new thread @Mounjaropen and your relentless positivity, support and encouragement for everyone! Congratulations to everyone for all the amazing progress being made - I so enjoy reading all the updates.

I haven't checked in for a while - I'm now 10 weeks into maintenance at BMI 22-22.5 and things have been pretty good. Started properly weight training in this period and so hope that as a bit more muscle goes on, I'm losing residual blubber.

However....I did decide that I could probably lose a few more pounds and so have set a new GW of 10 stone - half a stone lower than before - and have upped my MJ dose a little to help. I'm not in any hurry now so 0.5-1 lb a week is fine. This would put me bang on BMI 21.5 which is exactly in the middle of the healthy range. I definitely don't want to go below that and will be happy to sit between there and 22 if I build a bit more muscle weight. I'm kind of driven by shape rather than weight as things go on.

Cannot believe I am where I am and, like other posters here, have double took a few times passing a mirror. Yay for the death jabs!

Wow! Such a great achievement! Thank you so much for sharing your positivity about maintenance 💪🏻💪🏻

Thanks for new thread.
Well done to all those new stone brackets.

Im having a grumpy week, not eating much, weight is up from my low, sweating buckets. So happy it’s rained today and it’s so much cooler.

But a picture of me the size of a house, from four years ago came up on my fb feed and wow can I really see the difference. A lot of days I feel like nothing has changed, especially with my hips and thighs and still weighing more than a lot of people’s start weights.
But boy am I a whole lot smaller.

Keep going. You are smaller, healthier and giving yourself the best chance of life longevity. For many of us this is a marathon not a sprint 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

I've just been to my local department store to buy a pretty new bra to wear under sundresses, got a lovely pink one with little embroidered rose buds up the straps (and it was in the sale).
However, the breaking news is that while I was there I saw, tried on and bought a bikini! I haven't worn one since my mid 20's (I'm now mid 50's) when I was last (very briefly) this weight.
Now I just need to be brave enough to wear it! 😂

Well 🥳 to pretty bras!

you absolutely have to wear the bikini. No argument 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Checking in - thank you for the new thread, @Mounjaropen!

I’m stuck - have been bobbing up and down the same 2-3lbs for a month - in fact, since the end of May. I’ll finish this pen in a fortnight and then I’m going to go up to 12.5mg for the next one. I was hoping to avoid that, but hey. I’ve lost 40lbs, and my BMI is 24.5. I’m aiming for 9 stone and a BMI of 23. Currently fluctuating between 9 st 10 and 9 st 8.

Well congratulations on the amazing result so far 💪🏻

Keep up the exercise, water and protein intakes and your whoosh to the GW will come 🥰

On 7.5mg

H 5’ 6”
SW 14st
CW 10st 7lbs
GW 9st 7lbs
Total loss so far 49 lbs

Current concern is that the daily choc habit is creeping back in, let's see how combatting it goes!

The plan is to lose the final stone slowly over 2 months, avoiding muscle loss. Lifting quite heavy weights these days and ensuring protein intake remains on point.

I'm just looking at the numbers of everyone that has posted so far, and they all appear quite similar, inc the weight we think of as ideal... Interesting! @memphismayhem @random223 @Mounjaropen

Edited

That sounds like a great plan 🥰💪🏻

I think 9 and a half stone is a good weight for my height and gives me a buffer once on maintenance.

Hey started November 24, not been following the threads. Had lost weight on my own (3st) had put on 7lbs and lost it - twice so decided to go on mounjaro. Lost an additional 2 1/2 stone on mounjaro. Almost at goal weight.

Now down to a size 10/12. I need to buy clothes. Everything is too big but dont know what to buy . I keep opting for the same style as when I was 16st but it just doesn't suit my shape now. Nothing does. Any one else having this problem ?

When i say problem, its not really, i just need to learn to shop for my new body shape

Welcome! And congratulations on the fab result!

I hope the thread continues when you are all at maintenance as I still have 55lb to lose to get to normal BMI so I’m here for a while 😫

I’ll be here.

I Absolutely need long term accountability else I’ll fall off the wagon - and this group provides that so thank you all 🥰This is by no means my first rodeo losing significant weight/ putting it all back on. Who else has said “please tell me if I ever start piling the weight back on” and then got promptly cross when your DP/DH/mum/kids/sibling has done exactly as you asked? 😱

I’ve lost 5 stone!!!

I’m 5’4
SW 14 stone 1
CW 9 stone 1

I'm not a regular weigher, only do it every month or so and I haven’t really had an end goal to aim for, just wanted to get back to being me. I’m still a stone off the weight I was until my mid 30s but I’m now 50 and not sure 8 stone is realistic or even attractive any more.

I wonder if I’m reaching the end of this journey.

I had the opposite problem (but same premise really), when I gained the weight I never worked out how to dress my larger body, and bought things purely because they fitted and didn't dig in. It's very hard to work out what to do with this body you're not used to.

I would consider an analysis from Emily at Style Me Happy, and also join her facebook group. She works wonders for people and is very reasonably priced.

congratulations on the loss!

Well no discernible difference on the tummy front, but I do think my face is responding. I have weekly treatments booked from now until 👰🏼🤵🥰

I didn’t get any email from Oushk after my call so I don’t know how I initiate the maintenance programme and MedExpress haven’t dispatched my next pen yet…did you get anything?

Good luck with the RF. Re Oushk - I am with them already but what she said was that they had special ordering codes when you are on maintenance so I would maybe message or ring them when you are ready to order.

jay55 · 03/07/2025 07:40

@lovealongbathive still 20kg or so to go, will be around a good while yet.

Scales still being stubborn. I think I’m craving salty stuff during the heatwave so putting it down to water and hoping it will p off soon.

@Claudette7934congrats on 5 stone. Were the same height I can’t imagine being under 10, let alone in the 8s. You’ve done amazing.

Thank you for the new thread @Mounjaropen . I'm checking in. I've got my maintenance call booked for 15 July. I've struggled for the last few weeks and been eating and drinking more than normal. i've put a couple of pounds on, on 7.5 dose but it see to lave lost the supression that it used to give me after jab day. Now panicking about moving forward. Saturday is jabe day & I'm going to cut out all carbs that have crept into daily food. @MounjNewb how difficult have you fond maintenance? It's scaring me.
