Thank you @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne

I'm here and still weigh the same as Thursday, booooo! Doesn't look like I'll be losing anything this week, I'll blame the heat!

Same here, and I'm going away in a fortnight.

Checking in!

SilenceInside · 30/06/2025 12:57

Hello new thread! This Friday will be my 1 year anniversary on Mounjaro - I am hoping so much to drop under the 30 BMI and under 13 stone for it 🙏

Mum2Fergus · 30/06/2025 13:45

Marking place for Saturday weigh in.

Elle771 · 30/06/2025 14:26

Helloooooo new thread onwards and downwards 🎊🎊

PearlsPearl · 30/06/2025 14:48

Hi new thread. I went out shopping with my mam today and into Next and Primark and just thought... maybe soon one day I'll actually be able to shop in them. Seems unlikely but I have to remind myself I'm 4 stone down so it's hopefully coming! I'm 18 stone now but still wearing my size 24 clothes. I'm short too.

afaloren · 30/06/2025 15:38

Yay new thread!

Thank you to those who were so kind to me when I was freaking out about my blood test results.

I’ve just spoken to the doctor. Some of my gallbladder/liver levels are slightly raised which could be due to the Mounjaro or could be due to lifestyle choices over the past few years. He’s not too worried but wants to monitor me. I will keep on with the healthy living for a while and then have the tests redone. I hope it’s not the MJ!

He also said my blood sugar is too low so I need to eat more, and regularly. Suppression since I moved up to 5mg is immense so need to work on that.

GnomeDePlume · 30/06/2025 15:41

@PearlsPearl I'm similar though according to measurements I'm a Next 26 but I do have a thick waist.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 30/06/2025 16:19

@PearlsPearl I literally had a similar thought at the weekend. I went into a next to pick up something for my daughter and realised there might actually be a time I could look in a A Real Store. Or wear something other than leggings and a dress. I'eve worn leggings/dress/tunic for so long now I'm not even sure what i'd wear but I'd love the chance!

And similarly - I'm 17st 7 but still fit my size 24 leggings/tops. Much of my weight now is round my middle stomach/hips I feel I will be this size forever! One day I think I will wake up and just be a few sizes smaller... All my size 26 stuff is starting to look like it has excess room though which is satisfying - but I can still wear it as they're floaty.

@SilenceInside Wahooooooooooo for one year. That's amazing. ANd you've lost so much. So many of your posts have helped me from before I even started. And I'm now nearly 6 months in! Are you going to mark the day somehow?

SilenceInside · 30/06/2025 16:28

@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden if I squeeze under the 30 BMI I might have a G&T to celebrate, or maybe also to commiserate if I don't quite make it this week!

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 30/06/2025 16:59

Hoping for the 30 for you! That's amazing 😊

LucyBnotG · 30/06/2025 17:07

@SilenceInside Fingers crossed! Enjoy the G&T either way.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 30/06/2025 20:05

Checking in - thanks for the new thread.

I had a NSV today. I ordered some holiday clothes online, one of which was a jumpsuit. I have never worn a jumpsuit in my life, had no idea if it would fit (size 18) but it does and it actually looks quite nice on me!

Billybingbong · 30/06/2025 21:01

Hello shiny new thread. Im away on my hols, and have put myself on a social media ban for the week, but I can't keep away from here for so long, so am bobbing in when I get the chance 😎

Ita fab to read all the new achievements and nsv's. I have another nsv of my own. We did a 10k walk today. A few months ago, I could barely walk 10 metres without getting out of breath, and here I was today, bossing 10k like it was a walk in the park. Im knackered now mind, and have declared tomorrow a compulsory day of rest 🤣🤣

Hope everyone's having a great week so far, and enjoying the glorious weather

Glorious weather it is not, where I am.
We've had the heating on for a while today. We live in Argyll in Scotland.

But all is not lost, comrades!
I'm going to London to see our older DC in a week or so, where I fully expect to be Uncomfortably Warm.
🤣

Have a wonderful holiday @Billybingbong!

I've bought a little medicine case (with cold packs) to carry my MJ in when I go away.

Have any of you got one? Are they okay?

Thanks for the new thread 😀

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 30/06/2025 21:16

Oh it is sweltering here! I have packed my child off to school camp with cooling sprays, a fan etc as she's like me and overheats easily!

I'd quite like Scottish weather I think..!

weegiemum · 30/06/2025 21:16

I’m taking my 4th 2.5mg tonight and have ordered the 5mg but not sure I’ve done the right thing.
my appetite suppression is immense. Today I’ve eaten 4 crackers and a pot of cottage cheese. I’m struggling to eat veggies and fruit. I can manage protein ok and don’t fancy carbs much at all.in a month I’ve lost 8kg - but that’s based on an old starting weight that I think was too low (I’m not able to weigh myself on bathroom scales as I’m over 26 st).
im a wee bit worried I’m going to make myself unwell. I’m not sure I’m getting the vitamins and fibre in enough but I really can’t stomach it. I’d rather eat nothing at all!

mamabeeboo · 30/06/2025 21:29

A discovery I found this weekend:
People say that they are treated differently being overweight or that they have to be the "funny fat friend" and I never really agreed and thought well that hasn't happened to me, until this weekend.

I was out with a group of friends for drinks and one of them was suggesting that we should try the new reform pilates class. They all agreed it was a great idea, and before I could even agree, one girl looked at me and was like "oh your face, I know you don't want to do it. You can wait for us and we can have brunch after" ha. Ha.

I am very sure I didn't have a face.

But something like this I would have joked about saying no I'm not going to that, but with my new active lifestyle, yes I would like to try it.

It's niggling me a little. I am not sure what to make of it.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 30/06/2025 21:34

Hi @weegiemum I think you'll find that things calm down after a while. You'll get your appetite back.

BTW are you still in the Outer Hebrides?
