Hello all, hope you are well? @HansHolbein hope you are OK, long time no hear.
I am in maintenance, dropped down to 5mg and I haven't changed in weight for 3 weeks which I'm happy about. I still track my food and eat 1400 to maintain.
Talking if old prices, I've recently used up an old price 10mg pen at £143 and got 9 doses out if it so it was a bargain around £16 per dose! I've noticed some fat redistribution like on my glutes, they've filled out a bit and also my face.

Histoscientist · 12/04/2026 07:08

I'm now currently using a 10mg pen at £255 to get 10 doses until the extra fluid goes and it costs even more per week. Finding I still have suppression even now on 5mg, considering I went all the way upto 15mg back in August 25! Then the doses got too strong for me and I started to come down. I spent 3 months on wegovy but it was a fail so I think I'll be on this for long term.
Was reading into the tablets released by Novo and Lilly currently in US starting at $149 per month, they only have GLP so same as wegovy so I don't think I'll bother switching.
Currently nursing a stiff shoulder back to health by taking expired codeine and naproxen found in my meds cupboard yesterday, well I thought I'd give it a go as I was desperate and its the weekend and they worked fine.
Also a week with a slow tyre puncture starting and an old tooth filling came out, and I can't get a dental appointment for 2 weeks, and that's a private one as I'm no longer registered as I avoided the dentist since being on mj due to gagging on higher doses and didn't realise I'd just gone over 2 years 🙈 So I bought a temporary filling kit from Boots to save my tooth for now...why do these things all come together?
Also we may need a new thread of this soon as its approaching page 40.

Fizzleawayyy1 · 14/04/2026 11:29

This thread feels like it has taken ages to fill! less of us posting now.

Went to london and seen matt rife this weekend, so now need to reign it back in again, Iv jabbed 10mg this week as I have so much planned. I would also like to get down to 5mg but I still feel like I need the higher doses.

I would try the pills once I was fully in maintain as Id use it as something to take the edge off but we will see.

@Histoscientist Sounds like its all came at once! I have a NHS dentist and I never miss an app with them as im too scared they will ditch me if I mess them around even a tiny bit! haha

I had 5 x 15mg pens since sept and I still have 1 full pen and 1 with a third in id estimate. Hoping I get until june at least out of them.

Fizzleawayyy1 · 14/04/2026 11:30

@EVK How are you getting on being back on MJ? still going well?

Histoscientist · 14/04/2026 21:35

@Fizzleawayyy1 you'll do fine with the 5x15mg stash, I wish I had a stash like that and hadn't gone over to wegovy. I bought 2 x 10mg pens exactly a month ago but someone from my pharmacy has said they have a new style pen so don't know if it's worth trying to order another one right now! It's like pot luck which pen you get now.
I might stick to 5mg for now as I'm eating more food, carbs and treats but I think its the weather and I'm pmt right now 🤣🙈 I'm so old I had to Google who Matt Rife was..I love comedy though so I hope he was good! I've been to local comedy and also the Manchester comedy club which is brilliant.
I don't recommend taking codeine on mounjaro, slows down the GI system a lot!

HollyhockDays · 15/04/2026 07:33

I’ve been in 2.5 after a few weeks messing about as I’d not ordered a pen. I’m moving up to 5mg next week but am going to dose 3.75 from it. I need to lose another stone / half stone and then work on a maintenance dose.

I feel on 2.5 I was able to eat through the lack of noise!

Carridoesntlivehereanymore · 15/04/2026 17:09

Hi everyone!! Glad there's still life on our thread and we're all still trucking along. I sat at 10st 5lb, ±2lbs, for weeks and weeks but there has been a slight increase since the end of Feb. I've gone down from 5mg, to 4mg : then I started getting really properly, stomach rumblingly hungry some days, after maybe 6 weeks on 4mg. Eventually I tried moving down to 3.3mg which actually helped with the 'hungers' but I'm now at 10st 8lbs/10lbs. So I'm doing 4mg this week, then at 6 days, I'll do 4mg again, possibly even 5mg and the same again at another 6 days. Hopefully that'll up the mj in my system a tiny bit and I'll be able to shift those extra pounds. It's only 5 pounds but I'm so aware and disappointed I'm up. Note to self : do not buy the M&S almond biscuits in the green pack...

I'm trying to stick to 5 aquafit classes a week but they're very in demand so I don't always get them all. I've just ordered some hand weights in the hope I can get some tone into my arms, and maybe fill out the saggy skin a bit

Keep focused everyone. We're all fabulous x

fourquenelles · 15/04/2026 17:16

What ho! Still here. Back on MJ. I've been 12st 1lb for it seems like months now so I've increased my dose to 12.5mg - first injection next Sunday. I am not at all unhappy though as I was almost 19 stone size 26 at my heaviest and now can get into 16s and sometimes 14s. My local charity shop has a £1 rail with some really decent tops including Zara so I've had fun raiding that. Onwards and downwards!

letshavetea · 16/04/2026 09:59

Hi all, still here! I’m currently on 10mg (since November). Still a pesky three to four pounds to goal. Unlikely to lose that now as I’m having a knee replacement in four weeks time. I’ve been told to come off MJ two weeks before and I’m guessing I won’t be able to start (at 2.5mg) until a week or two post op. Dreading putting on weight (probably more than the surgery tbh!). I’m worried it may not work as well after a break. Any experience of this anyone?

I’m two stone down since starting MJ and two stone 91b since my heaviest. Now bmi 23.5 and 10 stone 10 pounds. Size 12. It’s been fab really and I see myself staying on it long term.

Good luck for your operation! No experiences im afraid with stopping and starting again but I have read about others doing it and they didn't seem to have any problems.

@fourquenelles How is 12.5mg working for you?

@Carridoesntlivehereanymore Its so good you have managed to get down to 4mg, I am still at 7,5mg every 10 days! and I am maintaining effortlessly.
However, I have decided I would like to get rid of another 4lbs I think so need to pull my finger and put my 'diet' head on. Kids are back to school now so no excuses now.
Never had the almond biscuits from M&S but I have had the strawberry sundae things in the cake section and I cannot buy them!! as I eat all 4 in one go.

@Histoscientist How are you getting on?

@everyone How are you all doing?

EVK · 25/04/2026 22:41

Fizzleawayyy1 · 14/04/2026 11:30

@EVK How are you getting on being back on MJ? still going well?

Hi, all going really well. 2.5mg has given just enough to pull myself back into line. I’ve lost around 4lbs in 4 weeks. Feel well and
very relieved to have nipped the 6 lb gain in the bud.
i can see myself with another month or two and then maybe do a couple with stretching it out -
maybe a dose every other week. Then come off again! I will probably use it like this just to keep me on track whenever I feel I’ve entered a ‘danger zone’! I don’t k is but it’s great to know tho west dose is enough to have an impact.

I’ve gone back onto 2.5mg after about a year off and it’s working a treat - I slowly put on about 6lbs and just wanted to put a halt to going any further. Hopefully you’ll be fine. Hope operation goes well xx

letshavetea · 26/04/2026 07:29

Thanks @Fizzleawayyy1 and @EVK thanks for your messages! I’m quite nervous about the op - but it needs doing so I can hopefully eventually be pain free and more mobile again.
Good to hear about your maintenance journeys and doses. That’ll be me soon providing I don’t put weight on post op. I think I’ll be off MJ for about three weeks. I’m antixipaitng a lot of food noise!

Histoscientist · 26/04/2026 22:03

Hello everyone, well I went down from 15mg in sept 25 to 5mg for 5 weeks and I have maintained at 8st 11lbs but I have noticeable more hunger, cravings and giving in to crisps and chocolate, rather than just thinking about it. There is some food noise too, so yesterday I jabbed 6mg and its been much better today, I'm eating a good amount but can stop and make choices over the junk food rather than just go for it. Now I can see how people can easily gain weight if they come off cold turkey or when they stop, it's really hard to say no to cravings and have food noise. I think I'll have to stay on this long term.
On a good note, while in maintenance I've had some fat redistribution and my curves, my bum and boobs are more filled out and rounded compared to how flat they were before. That's without any exercise too. I've also had way more energy since dropping down my doses and been working on my house and garden and feeling more motivated.
How are you all? Isn't it nice now the weather is turning?

Fizzleawayyy1 · 30/04/2026 15:22

Before I reply to everyone I just need to say, Iv had my hair extensions took out to give me a break and my hair is AWFUL!!!!! Its so thin. Il upload side by sides soon.

@EVK So glad its working!! bet its a great relief! I'm scared to come off it myself.

@letshavetea Have you had the OP yet?

@Histoscientist I'm glad your boobs and bum have god bigger haha My boobs could do with filling out!!
I love that the weather is turning, although I'm sat in my front room working with the windows closed and curtains down as its easier to see the TV😂

I am maintaining at the moment, still at 9st 10lbs... I seem to go from 9st 9lbs -9st 11lbs and I dont even feel like I am dieting really. Kids are now back at school and most of my plans are done. I dont have anything in for May really except for one day away with my husband so I recon I will be able to get down another 5lbs ish and then I will be happy. (I think).

letshavetea · 02/05/2026 06:40

@Fizzleawayyy1 - I’ve not had the op yet - it’s soon; on the 18/05. I’ve been doing lots of pre-op strengthening exercises in preparation.

Weight is down to 10 stone 8.8. Goal is 10 stone 7lb. Being lighter should help a lot with post op recovery.

Histoscientist · 03/05/2026 11:56

Hello all, 6mg seems to have done the trick for me, I'm down to my lowest weight 8st 10.6lbs bmi 22.0. I'd be happy to lose a few lbs but also happy if I stayed this weight as I don't want to increase my dose because it zaps my energy and I get anehdonia.
On another note, I've had a root canal treatment this week, it was an old 15+ years filling that came out and a chip of the tooth came away before Xmas but because the filling was fine, I ignored it 🙈 I've had to go private as I hadn't gone to dentist for 2.5 years so was no longer registered. This is because of the gagging and struggling to swallow tablets I had on higher doses, so I cancelled a check up after a cold in march 24 and didnt rebook! £402.74 later for a root canal and my panoramic xrays show I need 2 more root canals 😫 These are on teeth that I have had sensitivity for over 10 years and the other I've had pain on and off for 5 years, but it always goes away and since on mj ive never had the pain again, so I never mentioned it to my previous dentist and they never had a big xray machine to check for infections etc. £900 of treatments left but it's either that or lose the two teeth. I don't think it's linked to mj, I think it's me putting off symptoms and not going to the dentist!
I spent 4hrs on my garden yesterday, it actually looks decent and my violas are flowering but today the rain is terrible! All day long here. Hoping to paint my shed on a dry day as I have a week off this week and I'm off to a yoga and walking retreat from Friday to Sunday. Hardly exercised while I've been on mj so interested to see if I'll be more flexible etc!

Bluenose1966 · 03/05/2026 13:06

Hi all,
sounds like everyone is continuing to do very well weight wise. I have upped my latest doses from 2.5mg to 3.33mg and am pleased that more often than not my scales start with an 8. Hovering between 8st 13lb and 9st 1lb.
I have decided my new goal is get to 8st 10lb - 12lb to give myself a bit of leeway for holidays / social occasions. Feel like my weightloss is now generally accepted and been a while since someone said don’t lose anymore. I still get a surprise looking in mirror in gym and realising the slim reflection is me.
I have 2 x 15mg pen which will last me a very, very long time. I recently ordered 100 insulin pens cos my current pen stopped clicking with loads left in, though fear my new pens won’t have as much with the changes.
In other news I have spent £200 this month on new makeup which is so not like me!!!! I went down a rabbit hole ordering Laura Geller makeup as liked it on a friend as well as a Lancôme Lash Idol mascara which someone recommended.
Some say being on MJ reduces shopping urges but can’t say it has for me unfortunately.

Good luck with the operation @letshavetea being lighter has got to help with recovery.
@Fizzleawayyy1 i stopped wearing hair extensions 5 years ago cos my hair which is fine anyway was wrecked by them. I asked the Dola app the other day to show me photos of what I would look like with different hairstyles. It’s so clever but some of the hairstyles were terrible. I looked like Marie Antoinette in one of them, Good for a laugh though,
@EVK Sounds like you have a good back up plan if you start to put weight on again. Couple of the podcasts I listen to talk about stretching the dose out etc. All we can do is experiment to see what works. I just do what I think works for me and know when dose is too much/ not enough.
@Histoscientist i feel your pain re the root canal surgery as well as the cost and fear it won’t be long before I require something similar. I have a dull ache on some of my back teeth but dentist says all fine so we will see. I am on NHS but don’t think my dentist does it so would have to go private. Love the sound of your yoga/walking retreat, didn’t know there was such a thing. Would love that (as long as not too energetic) Have fab time and let us know how you get on.

Off to an afternoon party today so don’t think the scales will start with an 8 tomorrow, but hey ho. Have a great week all.

Histoscientist · 03/05/2026 15:06

@Bluenose1966 The yoga retreat is in North Yorkshire, I've been there before twice for retreats and they do yoga incl kundaini yoga and meditation and a countryside walk to some sacred stones but this time we will also be going on a 1.5hr walk to some neighbouring villages and a stop at a cafe too as well as a charity pay what you want type of book shop.
I'm not too keen on this turn in weather though! We've had non stop rain today so not too sure how the walk will go down but hopefully will stick mainly to paths.
Sounds like you are doing great with your weight, how tall are you? I'm 5ft 3.
I'm using 10mg pens since the price rise, i couldn't get the 15 or 12.5mg as they were sold out and stuck with 10mg since. The 15mg will last ages on your dose! Good for you for treating yourself with your makeup and other spending, we only live once and I think when we've lost weight, we feel better about ourselves so want to "glow up" too.

Bluenose1966 · 06/05/2026 08:05

Ooh the yoga retreat sounds lovely, have a wonderful time@Histoscientist . They are the type of things I dream about but never get around to doing, though could probably do with actually going to local yoga classes first!!!
It’s been dry here today so hoping the weather has improved where you going.
I’m 5 ft 7” so think I am probably more or less at ideal weight now, though like most I want to tone up more and get rid of my menopausal belly fat. Just checked and my BMI is 19.7, the lowest I could get to is 8st 6lb to still be in the healthy range, but wouldn’t want to go that low.
I am trying to increase my activity levels as although walk a lot and go gym spend far too much time on my iPad, at least 4 hrs a day!! I have gone from 7hrs of being on my feet a day to 8hrs.
I went into John Lewis last week and initially picked up 6 dresses in a size 12, they were all too big to my surprise. Seems so strange fitting into size 10s.!!!!

Wow bmi 19.7 is very slim! Well done on all the activity and dress size 10! I'm also dress size 10 though I bought some size 10 jeans and tops in January sales and they are baggy for me now so I'll have to sew them in as i havent even worn them yet! They still have tags on!
I'm bmi 22.0 and feel I'm getting to the end, my arms and legs are fine and if I lose more off my chest or bum then ill lose my curves, so I'm hoping this yoga retreat kick starts my activity levels and motivation to exercise. I definitely want to go down the body toning route to tone my tummy and waist, before losing a significant amount more, though I'd be happy with a few more lbs off to get me to 8 and half stone, I'm 55.5kg today so 8st 10.4lbs, the only issue with dieting now is my tdee is less than 1500 so to lose I have to go really low and get exhausted and lose hair so I'm having maintenance diet breaks so I also don't wreck my metabolism and lose muscle.
I wish I had exercised earlier but it made me so tired with anehdonia so zero motivation. My muscle mass isn't too bad according to my smart scales 37.5%. My waist has gone from 93cm to 73cm!
I'm off to hairdressers soon and it's a much brighter day, in fact next two days aren't too bad. Then I desperately need some new clothes so I'm popping to a retail park where there is a George, Next, Primark, m&s so I'll have a wander round as need some t-shirts/tops for my retreat.

Thought I'd add some photos, few days before starting and now, since I had to take one today for my next pen order. I'm 5ft 3" started at bmi 32.8 13st 1lbs and now bmi 22.0 8st 10.4lbs. I think I could easily get away with losing a few extra lbs, I definitely need to tone up but work long hours so it's hard to get the time.

Wow @Histoscientist What an incredible difference, you look so slim.
Hope you enjoyed your shopping and managed to find the clothes you wanted.
It’s so difficult to find the time and energy to exercise when you are working, I struggle sometimes and I’m retired. I’ve been weary lately so started taking a multivitamin with iron and it does seem to have helped quite a bit. I do wonder sometimes if the MJ makes me tired.
Some trainers suggest taking exercise snacks, where you just do 5 minutes, 10 squats and 10 press ups etc . I do that and quite often it gives me energy to do a bit more.
I keep saying I need to up my fibre as hoping it will improve my overall health, but never quite achieving it.

flowerlady2 · 08/05/2026 19:20

Hi all, I haven't posted for ages but have enjoyed reading the thread. Well done everyone. Reading about the dosing I'm curious about how you are managing reduced doses from pens - counting clicks etc. Do your suppliers ask you about the length of time ordered in between pens for example? I'm with Oushk and have been taking 10mg doses from a 12.5mg pen, at the last order they queried if I'd had a break (I hadn't) as it was over 6 weeks since my last order. They did approve it after I answered some questions but how is everyone managing to micro dose - are you being upfront with your pharmacy supplier? I'd love to be upfront and get some advice form them but am genuinely nervous they'd stop prescribing - can anyone please advise?

Bluenose1966 · 09/05/2026 10:58

Hi @flowerlady2 I am very fortunate that I have a stockpile of pens. I doubt that I would get it prescribed now for myself as I am no longer on flexi plan and if I did no doubt they would start me off on 2.5mg. My sister is on 15mg which is useful.
I know Oushk were one of the providers with the most flexible policies but it must be within the guidelines so I don’t think they would approve of microdosing / using pen for longer than 30 days.
So any strategy you discuss with them would have to be within guidelines. I think I recall someone saying at end of each pen they would allow a slightly longer break than 7 days to save money. In fact someone was doing month on/ off but think that was only for maximum of 5mg dose.
It may be worth asking them how long you can leave it between pens without them reducing dose or if they have any strategies to reduce costs. They do seem really helpful at Oushk.
Good luck it’s a lot of money to pay out for monthly.
