@EVK Yep quite a couple of days binge, and I haven’t even mentioned the takeaway fish, chips and curry😳. I blame the ibuprofen 😂
Yes I get bigger dose pens and normally take 2.5mg, so last a few months, I have a family member who is on MJ and still very overweight so have no issues getting bigger dose pens. I could get MJ myself again but would have to go back to 2.5mg pen, this way works out much cheaper.

EVK · 25/03/2026 07:37

That’s a good way to do it. I’m sort of looking forward to losing a 5-6lbs again and will be really mindful of the way my portions change this time as that’s where things have crept back - I’m eating a very healthy diet but too much of it!! So - just need to cut back again but that’s hard on your own!! I feel I should be able and probably could but it’s just so much harder without MJ - better to give myself a boost now before things go too far. I think maybe I’ll be someone who can go 6 months or so before needing to reset - maybe at some point in the future I won’t need the reset. However- it seems crazy to have worked so hard with MJ and then because of a sense of failure not get some support when I can see things tipping in the wrong direction.

Hopefully, your little blip will soon be rectified!! I used to binge something awful but that hasn’t returned even without MJ - just hungrier and so eating larger amounts. Honestly, I guess the dark chocolate treat has increased in quantity too !!🤣 Here’s to keeping on track !!

Fizzleawayyy1 · 25/03/2026 16:53

Can I join everyone with the blip? Went out for drinks after work on friday and then had a lovely steak meal, fish and chips on the weekend when it was so sunny, way to much chocolate and some sweets. It said I gained 3lbs so took MJ today.

@EVK I dont think there is anything wrong with going back on it. I think you are doing the right thing now by tackling it sooner rather then later. Better to have to lose some lbs rather then stones! When is your pen due?

EVK · 25/03/2026 20:35

Thanks ladies. Pen should arrive in Saturday- I’m actually feeling a bit nervous about it like a newbie again!!

I think everyone needs a little blip every now and then @Fizzleawayyy1 - we have to enjoy socialising from time to time without worrying.

Fizzleawayyy1 · 26/03/2026 09:38

Good luck @EVK , I am sure you will do great like you did the first time around.

I'm not too worried about the blip, I have dosed up and hoping it kicks in today so I dont think about food as much today ha ha

Lovely and sunny today here, took the dog for a early morning short walk and now sat down with a cup of tea working.

Quiet Saturday this week but a busy Sunday, seeing my husbands auntie and shes cooking for us again. I wish she wouldn't though as she always does chips & Pizza or something that isn't healthy and I feel like iv wasted calories eating something I dont really want. She cooks really plain though so no point asking for anything with flavour.
I shouldn't complain as she only does it because she cares.

EVK · 27/03/2026 18:51

Thanks - I know how you feel about feeling obliged to eat food you don’t really want! Hopefully it doesn’t happen too often!! I’ve gone crazy today - broke up from school and was given cake and chocolates - I’ve had my first binge, including a glass a glass of wine since starting this journey !! MJ coming Tuesday now and can’t be soon enough - wish it was arriving tomorrow!! I actually feel sick and my teeth are hurting from all the sugar 🙈

EVK · 28/03/2026 11:36

@Fizzleawayyy1 how is your stomach? Has the pain and sickness gone?

icantgetnosheep1 · 28/03/2026 14:37

Hello gang! Lovely to read all your updates. I’m still going strong 💪 8st 3lbs this morning which is within my 8.2 - 8.4 weight! I’ve been off MJ a long while now and my eating habits have changed drastically. If I do binge on anything a little naughty I’m quick to rein it in the following day! Strength training has helped me massively, and when I’m not lifting weights I’m swimming. My confidence level has improved and I’m no longer fearful of shopping for clothes that won’t fit!! It’s either a size 8 or XS 🤩 it’s like I’ve rewound 15 years before kids. I’ve since also quit alcohol and currently on day 87 of the 100 days reset. This has reaped some benefits on top of being slim again. Healthy skin, clarity and energy levels are massively improved. So in all .. it’s been a complete life changing process and I’ve embraced it. Keep going, find that happiness on the inside as well as on the outside 🥰

EVK · 28/03/2026 17:52

@icantgetnosheep1 so lovely to hear your news. You’re absolutely rocking it. Inspiring and wonderful to hear. You must be so proud- keeping off the weight so brilliantly. I often wondered how you were going. I’ve been doing well since about last June off MJ but a slow creep of 5-6lbs means I’ve decided to go back onto MJ for a boost. Trying not to feel down about it really as I was hoping to follow in your footsteps but just don’t want to lose it now. I’ll probably do a couple of months and then reassess. I do still feel thrilled about the weight I’ve lost and you’re right it’s so liberating to be able to choose the clothes you like rather than the ones that hide you best!!

Im struggling to fit the gym in and n ed to do some weights at home. If anyone has some good recommendations on routines to follow that would be great.

I like Growwithjo on youtube, she has good energy and does some routines with dumbbells and a kettlebell if you have those around, she even does walking routines to get steps in.

@everyone Hope you are all doing well. I went back to mj 7.5mg after 3 months on 1.7mg which stopped working after 2 months and I was quite ill with inflammation and Ibs and gained 2.5lbs and was bloated. Anyway I lost 3lbs in 3 days after my first jab back on 7.5mg mj and lost a further 6lbs. I've now dropped to 5mg as I'm struggling to get my calories in and have low energy. Today I weighed in at 8st 10.5lbs of 55.6kg, I've lost 4st 4.4lbs to date and my bmi is 22.0 so I'm quite happy with that. I also need to tone up and exercise but lacking motivation and currently studying too. Need to cut the grass tomorrow so hopefully that will get me moving!

EVK · 28/03/2026 20:25

@Histoscientist you’ve had a rapid recent loss then! I hope I will. I’m on 2.5mg - started today so hopefully I’ll feel
the difference soon. I’ll check out grow with Jo. Need to do something. I only ever went up to 5mg and that was after several months on 2.5mgs, so I hope I’ll have a similar experience this time. I’m actually finding it hard to remember what 2.5mgs was like now but hopefully after the long break I’ve had it will have a good effect. I know it’s not considered a therapeutic dose but I found it
quite strong.

Hopefully the sun will shine tomorrow and you’ll be able to get outside. Studying always drains me too - a good walk usually gets me
going.

EVK · 29/03/2026 19:25

Wow - suppression already !!

EVK · 29/03/2026 19:25

Wow - suppression already !!

Great! Well done, must feel relief to have suppression this early on!

WildOneWalker · 31/03/2026 19:05

I do!! It really is a relief and has stopped the slow weight gain in its tracks! I’ve also noticed I’m not thinking about food at all during the day and my stress levels have slightly reduced! The MJ effect?

EVK · 31/03/2026 20:27

BTW @EVK is @WildOneWalker I don’t know why they’re being used interchangeably 😅

Histoscientist · 31/03/2026 21:05

Well I've dropped down to 5mg, was at 15mg in sept 25! I'm definitely feeling a little hungrier this week on my 2nd week of 5mg. Oh well! The higher doses were over suppressing me and I wasn't eating enough, I was also very lethargic. Seems you deal with that or increased hunger on lower doses! I'll be staying on it for a few months, bought some 10mg pens so getting efficiency out of them.

EVK · 03/04/2026 09:19

Sounds like a good plan. Maybe there’s also something good about feeling hungier and hopefully enjoying your food. It gives us the opportunity to manage those feelings and be mindful about our eating habits!! Sounds to me like the side effects of the higher dose, especially at this point when you’re (I imagine) basically at goal weight aren’t worth it and you don’t need that much suppression. Also, reducing calories so drastically can have other implications so it’s a win win- keep going - you’ll feel better and still maintain and hopefully lose a little bit maybe just over a longer period of time now. It’s a balancing act once you’ve reached the finish line !!

Bluenose1966 · 07/04/2026 10:25

Hello all, hope every one well and enjoyed the Easter break, even some sunshine where we are today.
Well done on your lifestyle change without MJ and doing the 100 day reset @icantgetnosheep1 Might look at a 100 day reset myself.
For one day last week I weighed 8st 13lb but been about 9st 1lb since. So weird to see an “8”!!!!
I had upped to 4mg but going to go back to 2.5mg as like @Histoscientist made me feel really tired and lethargic. Struggling to force myself on walks and going to gym etc, in fact didn’t even feel like making effort to go out with friends.
Have started taking a multivitamin with added iron as remember my mum used to go to the chemist for a “tonic” with iron in when no energy. Only been taking a few days but do feel better.

EVK · 08/04/2026 21:14

@Bluenose1966 yay - a days with an 8 something in the scales 🙌 you will gradually see that more and more. I’m happy to say I’ve lost 2-3lbs in the last week and a half. 2.5mgs is working its magic and I have to remind myself to eat!! Sunshine has been lovely and spurred me on as it’s almost that time of year when we start to shed layers and bare more flesh! Felt so good last summer and very glad to be in the same place this year .

Fizzleawayyy1 · 09/04/2026 12:57

@EVK Glad its already working for you! Its getting hotter now like you say but I am such a fan of oversized jumpers and leggings when hanging around the house, I need to make the shift!

As for myself, Iv been busy busy with work & kids, I haven't really followed any diet over the last 2-3 weeks but Im staying at 9st 9lbs - 9st 10lbs so im really pleased as I feel like I am eating more. I feel like my weight has settled here.
However, I may not actually be eating much more but im less focused on what im eating if that makes sense?? as I still get full really quick. The other day we went for pizza, I ate 1 slice and was full but still felt like I ate too much.

When the kids go back to school and things get back to normal routine, I would like to shift 5 more lbs I think and then I am done.

However, I always feel like I have to attend events where I need to eat and not always eat things I want which is annoying.

How was every ones easter? Has everyone enjoyed the sunshine?

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 09/04/2026 14:08

Hi all

I've noticed a small flurry of posts on here so thought I would update on my Wegovy progress.

I am now on 1mg Wegovy which is the 3rd one up from the lowest dose. I am still losing and gaining the same few pounds, but did have a 3 pound loss last week which put me back just under 14 stone.

It feels like suppression is kicking in properly in so I am intending to stay on 1mg for a while. I have been managing to get it for about £100 with new starter discounts by switching suppliers.

MJ definitely felt like it worked a lot better, but the pricing is prohibitive for me at the moment.

Good to hear about the losses! Keep going everyone!

Fizzleawayyy1 · 10/04/2026 09:12

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 I'm glad it seems to be working for you now. I have heard it takes longer to kick in, hopefully it keeps working for you.

The price for MJ is ridiculous I feel, specially for the higher pens, I thought I was paying a lot when I paid £145 last year😂

How much are you looking to lose?

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 10/04/2026 09:27

@Fizzleawayyy1 I wanted to stay between 13-14 stone, nearer to 13 with 14 as max weight, so I will try and get as close to 13 as I can. I hadnt heard Wegovy took longer to kick in, but I did know it wasnt as strong as MJ. I'm hoping to stay on 1mg if I can, as any dearer is not just feasible for me.

Im sure iv read it in a few places that its took people being on it longer for it to work.
My aunties friend is on it and had to switch from MJ to wegovuy and she was saying that she was on it about 2 months before she felt like it really started working.

That would sense then. I am just about to start month 4.
