Thanks for the new thread! I’ve been fairly quiet, but have been checking in on everyone’s updates as it’s very motivating.

I’ve been aiming to maintain for the last two months, and seem to have succeeded - I have lost another 0.5kg, which is fine as my BMI is still 23.4. I’m doing 4mg a week, which means I can get 5 doses out of a pen without any stress. This seems to be my sweet spot - 5mg made me feel quite nauseous. At 4mg, I do need to rely on willpower. I don’t get much suppression. I have a call with Oushk next week - I’m not sure whether or not to admit to taking a different dose.

I’m hating people commenting on my weight loss, but trying hard to be polite.

I’ve also stopped tracking calories. I had a week of for xmas, and another for holidays … but I’m going to see how I go with just trying to make good choices. Being active has def made a big difference here. I’m trying to get back into running, and have done a few park runs.

I had my maintenance call on Tuesday, she did ask what dose I was on, she said was I on 10mg I said no 15mg, I'm actually on 12.5mg counting clicks as it was £5 difference between 15mg and 12.5mg. She only asked when we were discussing tapering down and what to go down to etc. I'm going up to 15mg in a weeks time anyway! I'm getting 6 doses Inc the bonus dose!

Sorry to go back go insulin needle question from the previous thread... but where did you get the insulin needles from? Does anyone have a link to exactly what I need to buy? Bit nervous about this, but there's no way I can get hold of another pen in time for my next dose and don't want to leave it 2 weeks between doses! Thanks!

Also, I'm surprised too about MedExpress just cutting you off, @envbeckyc ! I thought it would be in their best interest to help you to taper down slowly?!

I buy them from SHD medical, just had a delivery yesterday of 10 syringes for £5.30. UK medi is another popular company that offer 8mm needles too but are more expensive.

I bought mine from my local pharmacy. Just asked for insulin syringes. They gave me a pack of 10 for £2. The needle is double the length of the screw on needles supplied with the pen, but i just dont push it in as far.

Indeed… I got an email reminding me to order, I clicked on the link, filled in my weight and it showed a message saying stating that I was not eligible for treatment! It was a surprise and when I fiddled with the weight setting, just 1LB more would have seen it prescribed.

I think the threshold is a bmi of 22 for a prescription, and I have just tipped below that!

So for now….. I am going to have to go it alone eek!

Letshavetea1 · 24/06/2025 08:48

@envbeckyc - congratulations on your weight loss. You don’t have to go it alone if you don’t want to. Oushk - who I’m with are worth contacting as they do maintenance (as do other companies). You would have to send your previous prescription and book an online consultation (can be after starting I think as they are fairly booked up). Good luck.

Checking in! 👋
Slow movement on the scales but still moving down so I'm very happy. I met up with a friend I haven't seen in over 5 years and she was blown away with my "slimness". Turns out she's also been on MJ for 3m and has lost over 1.5st. So go us!!.

I'm down another lb this morning which brings my weight loss from my highest to 4.5st which is incredible. It's been a long process but so worth it. 18% of body weight lost on MJ in 35 weeks.

SW at heaviest: 15st5
SW on MJ: 13st4
CW: 10st12

Fizzleawayyy1 · 24/06/2025 13:34

For those of you who have Renpho scales, How are all your stats looking... I know they are not gospel but I have enjoyed seeing them all go green! Even though my weight and BMi are still both yellow

CountingSleepySheep · 24/06/2025 14:44

Amazing, congratulations! My subcutaneous fat is still yellow and my body fat is still red 😳. I do have a fair bit of belly fat still to lose so I think it is correct.

My Visceral fat started at 19 but its now 8 and my stomach is fairly flat. I carry most of my weight on my hips and ass!

HappyNewt · 24/06/2025 16:49

Positive reflections from today.....
Wore a denim jacket that I have had for over 30 years, but that I might not have worn since 2016....going on the train ticket lurking in the pocket. I definitely haven't fitted into it for a long time!
Wore a dress without those horrid short like spanx like things under.....and....joy of joys...no thigh rub...even though it is still pretty warm here.. woo hoo.
And, whilst I lost a bit of focus last week, it turns out my weight has stayed the same....(just need it to go down again!!)
Keep finding those positives everyone!!!!

Mine are all green now! Used to be a lot of red on there! And I've knocked 7 years off my metabolic age 🙌

Oushk prescribe down to bmi 19 and you can ask for maintenance appointment, it's usually a long wait but often there are postponements or cancellations so you may luck out!

I always like looking at mine but I don’t know how else I can make the sub cut fat green seeing as I don’t want to lose weight anymore but I still check my weight to keep me on track, this was the last time I checked.

I don’t have the fancy scales but wish I’d bought some in October!

lapuf · 25/06/2025 21:22

My old scales are digital and do 0.2 increments of a pound. I’ve been up and down the same pound for a couple of weeks now, feels like a set point and I’m almost done with final pen so I’m planning to stick at that weight!
