@Histoscientist I tend to have fruit for breakfast or a protein ball. Black coffee and water. Lunch is always tuna or chicken lettuce wrap or salad. My only snacks if I have any are nuts or cheese. Dinners: eat what I fancy really 🤷🏼‍♀️ I avoid bread and pasta but do have a small amount of rice once in a while. I do strength training twice a week and spin classes twice a week. Throw in a swim session and a 20 minute steam session to ease everything off. I missed a few over Christmas as I was hit with the dreaded flu bug and that knocked me sideways.. back to the routine now. I rarely drink alcohol now and have totally gone off fizzy drinks so it’s flavoured water or just water. My protein is high, carbs low and cheeky treats are minimal - it’s worked for me and I don’t feel like I’m missing out. If I do go out for dinner I’m mindful but never deny myself anything. I feel fuller quicker as I’ve shrunk so much so win/win

Amazing, I'm quite similar on most of your tips, but I could do with more exercise sessions a week as only recently started body toning classes with weights and do 2 per week or more when im off work. I was low carb but increased my carbs and cals from 1000 deficit to 1300-1500 to maintain. What are your cals per day as it doesn't sound like a lot with all the exercise you do!
I also like nuts, cheese, chicken and tuna. I also like high protein yoghurts. I'm eating more bread and potato than I used to 3-4 times a week but have only had pasta twice in almost 16 months. I do need some carbs for energy and to fuel my workouts.

Sorry I am hijacking this thread with Wegovy, but I cannot find a Wegovy one and you lot are too awesome 🤩

My SW with Wegovy 0.25 this morning was 14'5 - up from my lowest on MJ at the end of oct of 12'11.

I was eating loads now after stopping MJ at the end of Oct MJ altho have not actually put on any weight for the last three weeks, which is a result of sorts I suppose 😁

I am going to aim for getting back down to 13 stone or below. I intend to not go to the highest dose like I did with MJ - a) due to the cost and b) I only have less than 2 stone to lose so I am hoping to only go up if I really have to. I think I have resigned myself to staying on it longer term, possibly forever, so if I can stay at a lower dose that will help financially.

The other good think about switching to Wegovy is the new suppliers and the referral codes........😁

icantgetnosheep1 · 19/01/2026 11:16

@Histoscientist I keep my calories low purposely as I’m over 50 and meno. 1000-1200 per day. I’m strict and log everything in MFP

Upto 1200 a day even when youare exercising? Doesn't seem a lot at all. Have you lost more weight doing this or are you maintaining your weight when you came off mj?

Good luck and I hope it goes well. I'm on wegovy 1.7mg done 8 weeks already and now on 9th week. You may need a higher dose for it to be effective as you've been on mj before. Let us know how it goes! I track daily and weigh every few days to control my weight even in maintenance. I think it will be a lifetime change. Have you looked at your tdee on tdeecalculator.net? It may help maximise losses?

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 19/01/2026 19:59

Thanks @Histoscientist I am already feeling nausea and not fancying any food so fingers crossed its kicking in already. I tend to weight just once a week, as otherwise I can be a bit obsessed and start doing it every day.

I dont know about the tdee, will take a look. Thank you!

It gives you a deficit to aim for so you can lose 1lb a week by deducting 500 cals a day. I use myfitnesspal app to log my calories and eat high protein and low carbs to lose regularly. Or I did until I hit maintenance at 9st bmi 22.5 and now having a diet break.

Ah ok. I've tried logging and tracking calories before, but it never lasts longer than a week. I just end up not being arsed!

I've done it almost daily for the 16 months, apart from a period of 2 months when I started off. It definitely helps with regular losses and maintaining. Managed to lose 4st with it and maintaining so far. I had so many health issues, I can't gain weight again plus I'm small so every 1lb has a big impact.

Fizzleawayyy1 · 20/01/2026 10:15

got back down to my pre Christmas weight last week.

Just in time for a hen do this weekend and to put some back on it seems.

I don't seem to be getting any lower then 10st 1-10st 4.... it defo feels like this is a settled point for my body around 10st 4lbs.... years ago it used to be 11st 7lbs so I'm glad its over a stone lower but Id really like to be under 10st. After this hen weekend I really need to focus as dont have any plans until valentines day then!!

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 I dont log calories either, I vaguely log them in my head but its not perfect.

Anyone booked any nice holidays this year? I have a few things planned now for this year coming. Disneyland paris with the kids at xmas, Rome in the school holidays and malta for my husbands bday. Then we have a few weekends away in the UK booked with friends or family, Dawlish, Newquay and Wales.

Amazing, any pictures?

The event is tonight so I'll post pictures tomorrow. I am having trouble finding a full length fat picture as I was a camera dodger at my heaviest!

fourquenelles · 25/01/2026 11:31

At my heaviest 18st 9lbs,size 26. Now 12st 4lbs size 14/16. Two to three stone to go. Slowly slowly catchy monkey.

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 26/01/2026 07:31

Morning all

1st week on 0.25mh Wegovy.

I have to say, the suppression is not as strong as it was on MJ, but I am not sure if thats because I had some tolerance as I was on 15mg MJ for about 3 months when I finished in November. But on the plus side no significant side effects.

That said, I have definitely been eating less and had less food noise than before and I have dropped 4 pounds this week, so I am not complaining at all!!

0.25 isn't even equivalent to 2.5mg, you may need to go a lot higher up but glad it's working for you, awesome!

Fizzleawayyy1 · 28/01/2026 13:05

How's everyone getting on?

Iv been on the hen do, drank myself silly and now back at work, jabbed yesterday to start a fresh, no plans for feb pretty much so would really like to get the last stone off over the next couple of months while its quiet social season.

Back on the sealion booster stuff today to drop the water weight from the hen do.

Iv already found a dress for a black tie event I have later in the year. Nothing like a bit of forward planning.

Fizzleawayyy1 · 28/01/2026 13:06

also i still feel freezing 24/7! I cant wait for the weather to warm up!

Bluenose1966 · 31/01/2026 12:53

Hi all,
love reading the updates and interested to see how the Wegovy is going for those who have moved over. I still have quite a few months of MJ stocked up so won’t be considering it yet.
Wow @fourquenelles love the photos, massive difference, congratulations that is brilliant.
@Fizzleawayyy1 but have a weekend in Wales next Friday so may go slightly off plan!!!.
We are also off to Malta this year, the Med on a cruise in July and might try and book Rome on the cheap out of season for a few days. I do feel holidays seem to be getting more and more expensive so thinking of trying to be a bit more creative than my normal package holidays.

Week 50 of maintenance, still dosing at 2.5mg.
SW 12st 2lb
GW 9st 7lb (cushion 9st 2lb - 9st 7lb)
CW 9st 4lb
Weight training 3 x per week and 5 x 3 mile walks per week though full of cold at moment so very slothful last day or so.

Back last week from a cruise after not injecting for 2 weeks and had put on over 7lb in a week!!! My scales actually said to me “Is this you” due to the weight variation in such a short time 🙄😂. I had eaten loads of delicious food and had Pina coladas every night so my own fault and I did enjoy it. Have lost 3lb in a week so back on straight and narrow.

Was listening to Dr Tim Specter on Diary of A CEO and am now trying trying to increase the different plants, nuts etc I eat. He said should be aiming for 30 different types a week to improve gut health and it can help with cravings so that aroused my interest. He was also keen on intermittent fasting which I am a fan of.
Hoping to use the MJ to make me eat healthy and would love it if I could come off, but at 60 this year I think my metabolism is totally messed up.

Good to see that in some countries some GLP1s are now out of patent so will hopefully be cheaper. Though typically not of out of patent in UK. Was thinking I might have a holiday to a country like Turkey if I can pick it up cheaper there legitimately.

Histoscientist · 31/01/2026 14:23

@Bluenose1966 wow you are doing amazing with your maintenance of 50 weeks. It must not have taken you long at all to lose the weight since we've only been doing this since Oct 24.

I'm in maintenance too weighed in at 58kg this morning, my weight varies around 1-2lb heavier than my lightest weight of 57.3kg and I'm maintaining with wegovy 1.7mg and I've just done week 10 of it and find I am craving carbs and junk food more and hungrier, so the dose must be wearing off as when I started it was very strong suppression and satiety. I've made the decision to move back to mounjaro because I don't want to risk my blood sugars rising again and going back to prediabetes/mild diabetes, high BP and cholesterol and gaining weight etc so I've 2 doses left of my wegovy pen then a 10mg in fridge purchased in August that I'll do 7.5mg doses and get down to 5mg hopefully to maintain.
My exercise has dropped to 1 session per week, it's been stressful at work last few weeks as we've been so short staffed so I've done lots of running around and meetings and training others and had deadlines to hit, so ive not stopped. Last week I asked about going part time but got told no we are too short staffed, so I was annoyed, currently thinking of training in massage therapy and doing pet sitting and packing it all in!! Or staying full time and hiring a cleaner so at least I get some time to myself as I now also have to work 1 in 4 Saturdays 3hrs overtime which is compulsory so have even less time to rest.
Luckily, I have been off work since Thursday and went to a yoga retreat day in North Yorkshire where I did yoga, a guided meditation, had a sound bath, had a reiki session and also some time to chat and have lunch with the other 11 ladies. It was a really nice day. Yesterday I just cleaned the house and started watching the new Bridgerton series, I'm already hooked!
Today my car was in for a service 9am and just last week it started developing an issue with the outside temperature climbing upto 19C when it was around 4-7C outside. It is probably a faulty sensor so hopefully that's an easy fix. I also have an old rear tyre wearing on the side, brakes down to 80% and needed 3 new bulbs..everything always comes together!
Hope you are all well? I haven't thought much of the future with coming off, especially with the current carb and junk food cravings, so I worry I'll be back to that so may have to stay on it long term xx

Bluenose1966 · 31/01/2026 14:50

Haha, had me doubting myself then @Histoscientist as my post menopausal brain is a bit doolally at moment. Just checked my notes and I started mid October 24 and reached my goal weight mid February 25 so it is 50 weeks. I lost 40lb over 4 month so not some of the big weight losses we see on here, however I think I have lost closer to 50lb from my highest weight as was always too frightened to get weighed.
Had been on one of my many, many diets before I started the Mounjaro.
That’s a shame the Wegovy didn’t work out for you, was worth a try.
It’s so difficult to eat healthy when mad busy with work etc.
I got a Cleaner when working and would have also got a gardener if my husband didn’t do it when I was working FT. Your time is valuable and if they won’t let you go PT you need to make life as easy for yourself as you can if you can afford it. Some employers are very shortsighted, no wonder they end up losing good staff. Think carefully though before taking the plunge. The more dissatisfied I got with my job the more I put in my pension which meant I could retire at 57.
Your yoga retreat sounds blissful, I keep meaning to try the yoga classes I can go to as part of my gym membership. And being retired I really don’t have any excuses, yet I always seem busy doing something!!!! Good luck with your car.

Histoscientist · 31/01/2026 15:07

@Bluenose1966 40lbs lost in 4 months is brilliant and 50 weeks maintaining is pretty epic, well done 👏 hasn't time flew since we started out journeys? It's crazy how quickly the time has passed. Remember when we all started, no way would I have thought I'd get from a size 16 to a size 10, I'd never been a size 10 even as a young adult, I was always a size 12 and above. I only lost around 1lb a week and I've lost 4st altogether, the last stone from 10 to 9 took 4.5 months!!
Yeh I really want to reduce my hours but the pay is good and I keep thinking it will affect my pension if I drop hours but my mortgage was paid off 5 years ago and I have decent savings too. I'm 44 now and I feel like my body is getting tired and with my commute too of 2-3hrs each day, I'm just getting fed up of working especially with compulsory saturdays. Our pension contribution is quite high, I think it's around 12-15% last I checked. It's not adjustable as it's the nhs but they also contribute the same amount as we put in so it's a good amount. I'd love to retire early, I might just do that, stay full time and go early. We can go from 55 but its a small yearly pension on that.

Fizzleawayyy1 · 03/02/2026 12:12

@Bluenose1966 Holidays are getting ridiculously priced now! We never stay in all inclusive either so we spend a fortune once we are there too! ... I try and be on the ball and book flights on the cheapest days so always go for an odd amount of days.
It doesn't help we are planning to go back to disney world florida next year which will be ££££ so trying to go easy on trips this year!

@Histoscientist Sorry work is so tough! Id hate to be told I couldn't go part time. I work 4 days a week and to be honest, I never plan to increase to 5 days!... not if I can help it anyway!! but our son is severely disabled (non verbal etc) so I use the day off in the week to catch up with appointments, housework or to go for a coffee with friends! Sometimes I work it too if I have to attend an event.

I'm finally feeling back in control and ready to shift the last little bit of weigh, I dont really need to lose anymore but I want too... Hoping to break into the 9s by the end of this month and I'm currently 10st 3lbs so feel like its do able. Iv gone back down to 10mg and seems to be working well. I still have 2 and a half 15mg pens.
No idea what I will do when they are gone!!!

letshavetea · 04/02/2026 06:59

Hello everyone, I haven’t posted for a long time. Due to life being busy and also was so fed up with being a slow loser! I have followed along and enjoyed reading all your posts.

Today I weighed in at 10 stone 10.6 pounds. The lowest for years! I’d like to get down to 10 stone 7lb and then taper down MJ and stay on a maintenance dose. I can’t come off as I can’t imagine I’d be able to maintain without it. I don’t want to go any lower as I don’t want to look gaunt at my age. I’m currently comfortably wearing size 12 which I’m happy with. I’ve also lost many inches everywhere and have gone down two bra sizes.

Starting weight 12 stone 10lbs (was 13 stone 5lbs at my heaviest)
Current weight 10 stone 10.6 lbs
Goal weight 10 stone 7lbs
Height - 5 foot 7 inches
Current BMI 23.6
Current dose of Mounjaro 10mg
Supplier - Oushk

I increased to 10mg in November 2025. I did this by slow titration as I get side effects if I don’t. The 10mg has really helped and I even lost in December! I still find the scales go up and down along the way, but the downward trend continues.

I have completely replaced my wardrobe now. I’ve bought some new things but have found vinted to be brilliant for buying and selling. I no longer hang on to anything if I don’t really like it. I don’t have as many clothes as a result, but I prefer this pared down approach.

Regarding the holiday question for this year, we’ve got several booked. Barbados in March, Lucca in July and Sorrento in September. Plus some weekends in rh r U.K. as well.
