@Fizzleawayyy1 at least you enjoyed your December with all your meals, parties and celebrating. I was strict but didn't have any fun. I'm now 1lbs heavier than my lowest weight after being healthier over the weekend, did another body tone session with dumbbells too
I'm with oushk and have been since last January. They let me switch from 10mg to 1.7mg, though 1.7 is too strong for me, 10mg was also strong for me, 7.5mg was a better dose for me for maintaining, so now I'm doing 1.36mg and that's a lot better, I tried 1.47mg last week but it was still too strong. I can now actually eat a meal and enjoy it, without feeling super full.
I think I'll go further down next week depending on how this week goes.

Then in my next pen do similar amd get 6 doses out of each pen. Then I have a 10mg pen sat in fridge from august that I'll do 5mg doses so that takes me to may and my gut is telling me to come off but I might join the oushk flexi plan, which means I can reorder a pen anytime I want. Though it costs 15 a month for that! Pharmulous do a maintenance plan for free but I don't want to join and order another pen, as I have another coming from oushk soon. I guess 15 a month for a few months to test the waters is ok.

Hope everyone had a nice Xmas and new year. Apparantely this year will be a lot better according to Chinese astronomy..last year was the year of the snake...let's hope so!

Fizzleawayyy1 · 06/01/2026 09:14

@Histoscientist well I weighed today, and iv dropped 3lbs overnight in 1 day so I'm sure it will come off quickly.

Sounds like you have a good plan, I have no idea when I'm going to come off this, it will defo be 6 months.

Iv booked 3 short abroad holidays for next year although only 1 will require a bikini so I would like to at least be slim enough for that in August!

So most of it was probably water weight..not to worry 😊
I managed a 32 min body toning session after a full day's work..I'm proud of myself! After I've toned up, I might do another cutting session to lose dome more fat as my body fat ratio and subcutaneous fat isn't great!

Woooooooooo!!
I really do need to start toning up!! I have never been a gym person though, I find it so boring and I feel no satisfaction from it either

Weighed again this morning, another 2lbs off so I'm only 6lbs up. I clearly retain lots of water weight.

Work event in london tomorrow so il need to make good choices around lunch.

Well done on the water weight loss. I don't go to a gym but follow youtube videos, tried Joe wicks but it's lots of mat work, so I do low impact high intensity with dumbbells and pilates. It's free too and much easier to do at home.

fourquenelles · 10/01/2026 22:03

Me again. Another 6lbs down since I last checked in and just had to share the fact that I bought a size 14 sparkly dress to wear at a special charity do next week. Six stone off so far size 24 to size 14. Squeeee.

TheChosenTwo · 10/01/2026 22:15

Not sure when I last checked in but:
SW in oct 24 - 16st 2lbs
CW 9st 6lbs (been maintaining give or take 1/2lbs for the last 4 months or so).
no plans to come off or reduce dose, don’t want to lose any more but seem to have cracked the balance of food and exercise to maintain.

What dose are you taking still?

Fizzleawayyy1 · 12/01/2026 09:15

Ended up losing 11lbs of the 14lbs I put on last week.
So I'm only 3lbs off what I was before xmas now.

Bluenose1966 · 12/01/2026 11:24

Morning all.
Week 47 of maintenance, currently dosing at 2.5mg.
SW 12st 2lb
GW 9st 7lb (cushion 9st 2lb - 9st 7lb)
CW 9st 1.9lb
Weight training 3 x per week and 5 x 3 mile walks per week
Had put 4/5lb on so went back to my low carb, intermittent fasting to keep my insulin levels low as have been craving chocolate, crisps etc even on the MJ. Have lost weight previously doing this but always got complacent and put it back on.

Within a week it has come off, presumably a lot of water weight with cutting carbs out.
Delighted as changing my diet has made the MJ more effective and have really good suppression.
For anyone struggling worth listening to Dr Jason Fung and Ben Bikman on various podcasts. They say calories are not too be ignored but the main way to keep weight off is to keep insulin low. It has certainly stopped the cravings for me.
I read Jason Fung’s Obesity Code book years ago and hoping that if I follow this way of eating again I can reduce my MJ even further, would love to come off but not sure at this stage if I can.

Off on a cruise from Friday so not going to inject this week but hopefully won’t go off rails too much.
Happy maintenance all.

Hi all

So after a nearly 2 stone gain since stopping MJ at the end of November, and eating non-stop since, I have ordered wegovy. I may be able to start on a higher dose but happy to start on lower if I have to.

Will report back when I start and let you know how its going.

I’ve been on 15mg for about 6 months. Possibly a bit longer?

Did you reduce doses gradually? Just curious as I always am about people coming off it and how they do it. I don’t plan on coming off it myself so I’m really just being nosey so feel free not to answer! And best of luck with wegovy 💐

Edited

I went cold turkey after 3 months of 15mg. I didnt really want to taper down and the price hikes didnt help.
I had been on MJ for a year so wanted a break anyway to see how I would go, but its not working not being on it, so back I go.

Thank you

TheChosenTwo · 12/01/2026 22:47

Thanks for sharing @DeltaAlphaDelta79 - cold turkey was a very brave decision. At least you’ve given it a go.
it is indeed a spendy way to maintain weight loss.
please keep us updated on your journey with wegovy, I expect there are a lot of people who have made the switch although I haven’t been following along to see how they’ve got on to see if it’s mostly the same but I’m curious now to find out! Might go and have a look although again, as I said, I’m not thinking about changing anything up, I’ve got into a good place overall and not planning on rocking the boat!

Is there much price difference? I haven't looked at the prices since it all went up.

Fizzleawayyy1 · 15/01/2026 09:08

I'm officially back down to what I was before xmas. 🙌
I'm away next weekend on a hen do and then after that I pretty much have no plans for a couple of months! Thankfully.... can save some money😂

Thank you, will do. I got the lowest dose for £56 with new customer discount. Cheapest of the highest dose i could see currently (on igovy.com - linked from monj.com) with new customer discount was £196.

Average prices seem to be around £100 for lowest doses and £250 for highest doses.

Hey! Just popping in.. saying hi 👋
believe it or not I’m still at 8.2!! I’m fitter, stronger and far more confident than I was a year ago. I haven’t used MJ for about 6 months now and can honestly say my mindset has changed considerably. I do have the odd blow out treat but not that often and I exercise most days. It gave me the kick up the arse I needed at a time when I was so low about my weight. I’d convinced myself I was destined to be overweight and miserable forever. Now I’m heading into 2026 (soon to be 54) looking better than I have in years.! This was only possible because of this group - the support and encouragement of you all was what drove me on. 🙏 It’s always lovely to come back and read your updates, we should all be incredibly proud.

Happy New Year. Hope everyone had a good Xmas.

I put on 4lbs over Xmas, down to the alcohol consumption and increase in sweet treats. However, I'm almost back down to pre Xmas.

I'm slowly going back down the doses, currently on 7.5mg and jabbing every 10 days but I'm really happy with my weight now (for the very first time in my 45 yrs 🤗), top end of healthy BMI. I fit into size 10 tops and comfortably into size 12 jeans - this is a huge deal for me, I've not been below a 16 since my late teens.

Now I'm hitting Vinted to invest in some good quality clothing and trying to sell or donate my whole wardrobe of clothes of varying sizes.

icantgetnosheep1 · 17/01/2026 23:11

@Histoscientist I tend to have fruit for breakfast or a protein ball. Black coffee and water. Lunch is always tuna or chicken lettuce wrap or salad. My only snacks if I have any are nuts or cheese. Dinners: eat what I fancy really 🤷🏼‍♀️ I avoid bread and pasta but do have a small amount of rice once in a while. I do strength training twice a week and spin classes twice a week. Throw in a swim session and a 20 minute steam session to ease everything off. I missed a few over Christmas as I was hit with the dreaded flu bug and that knocked me sideways.. back to the routine now. I rarely drink alcohol now and have totally gone off fizzy drinks so it’s flavoured water or just water. My protein is high, carbs low and cheeky treats are minimal - it’s worked for me and I don’t feel like I’m missing out. If I do go out for dinner I’m mindful but never deny myself anything. I feel fuller quicker as I’ve shrunk so much so win/win
