Welcome one and all to our latest thread!

So much support and encouragement on here. Can’t wait to hear everyone’s continued achievements and NSVs.

Congratulations to everyone who has reached their goal and starting maintenance, and all the warriors still trekking on.

I still have a couple of stone to go. Feeling motivated and ready to go!

We can do this!

WLINewbie · 01/06/2025 15:30

Placemarking!

Thanks for the new thread :). Currently dipping my toes into tapering down/maintenance

Ke11 · 01/06/2025 15:38

Checking in to the new thread 😀

I'm currently looking at switching provider to one that offers maintenance since I feel like I'll be needing to take at least some dose of this for a very long time.

MynameisJune · 01/06/2025 15:46

Checking in for the new thread.

I’ve got about 20lb left to lose to target so hoping by October I’ll be there. Watching those already heading to maintenance with interest.

Zibb · 01/06/2025 15:51

Thanks for the new thread! Onwards and downwards!

I've had a week of eating at maintenance. It's been good to have a break but also uncomfortable in some ways. Constantly feeling guilty about eating too much and then worrying about how shitty I'll feel when I haven't lost anything. Even though that's the whole point of eating at maintenance. Ugh, brain, why are you so annoying?

Today I'm finally increasing my dose to 5mg. Fingers crossed I'll feel better than I did the last time I tried it.

This is the start of week 15 for me.
SW: 115.8kg
CW: 85.6kg
GW: 59kg

Hoping to see 84.6kg next week although I won't be surprised if I maintain.

Paulahoust · 01/06/2025 15:53

Just placemarking ☺️

Mum2Fergus · 01/06/2025 16:31

Place marking…thank you!

sweetpickle2 · 01/06/2025 16:49

Thank you for the new thread!

Have been away this weekend at a spa hotel, lots of indulgent food- but definitely wanted to eat far less of it than I normally would. Interested to see what the scales say tomorrow on jab day, but honestly whatever it is I don't care, I've had a lovely time.

SpiralSister · 01/06/2025 17:16

Thanks for new thread! <parks much smaller arse>

FunnyCrabDance · 01/06/2025 17:44

New thread placemark. Thank you 😊 2 stone down, 2.5 to go.
Tried on a size 14 denim skirt not thinking it would even get over hips but the button did up! I couldnt breathe or move and the overspill was hideous to behold 🤣 but thats all beside the point... Maybe by the end of this thread hey?

MyHouseInThePrairie · 01/06/2025 18:17

Jealous of those of you who have achieved their target weight loss!! I’m nowhere near that.

Having said that, I need to change provider, I think there’s a list of MJ providers with prices. Could someone direct me?

MyHouseInThePrairie · 01/06/2025 18:33

sweetpickle2 · 01/06/2025 18:28

THANK YOU!!

Catmum100 · 01/06/2025 20:27

I can't believe we're on thread 6 already! I love hearing how everyone else is getting on.

I've had my first day of proper food noise and hunger today... not bad for over 100 days in. But I utterly failed at managing it. I've stayed on 5mg for the last 3 pens, with 2 more 5mg pens in the fridge, so decided I'll get 6.25mg x 4 out of the new 5mg one (with the help of insulin needles) and order a 7.5 for the next. My partner has just started the jab this month so he can take the other 5mg pen!

Anyone else getting a bit... bored?! I'm useless at patience at the best of times, and just want to be at goal! My weight loss is "only" 1lb a week and I wish it was a tiny bit quicker. But without the jab I'd have given up long ago so I'm trying to think rationally!

MissionToSize10 · 01/06/2025 20:27

-1st 9lbs….

on 7.5mg now 1st wk

Oh I so get the bored thing! I feel the same, I think it is because usually I would have fallen off the wagon by now. So it’s actually really positive because I know I will stick with this and I feel confident that I will get to goal (not that I know what my goal is yet) 😀

usedtobeaylis · 01/06/2025 21:25

Checking in!

I had asked on the last thread about switching providers again, I ended up going with WePrescribe as they were a decent price and when I googled them everything seemed positive. So I've gone from Asda to Zava to WePrescribe - and I never did get a single reply from Zava so I'm happy to have left them.

The WePrescribe process was simple, just the usual uploading photos, weight and ID and filled in the usual form, then you send a message via your account letting them know it's all been uploaded. I ordered this afternoon, uploaded the last of my photos about two hours ago and sent the message, and have been approved already. So, so far so good! Apparently they price match as well. Will see how long they take to dispatch but very straightforward.

Edit: just to add, I've ordered the 10mg pen this time as I've learned the lesson that when you're ordering a pen while you've still got a full pen, that it's easier to take a lesser dose from a higher pen if needed than struggle on with a lesser pen!

I'm glad it's not just me! Also I think it's because the jab has taken away my need for dopamine hits from sugar/Pepsi max/ whatever... so now there's this sort of "nothing" feeling. No thrill seeking from food! Which is actually good, just boring 🤣

OntheTrainX · 01/06/2025 21:41

Starting 7.5mg on Tues. Hope it’s effective!

I bought a can of coke about a week ago and didn't drink it so someone else did, and they replaced it on Friday night and it's still in the fridge! I want it... but I don't want it. I'm perfectly prepared to drink it within my calories but I also just don't want to. It's so weird!

narkyspirit · 01/06/2025 21:46

end of week 17 for me and 5th (bonus) dose of 7.5 mg next 7.5 pen in fridge.
I'm beginning to get some food noise coming back with losses now around 0.5 kg a week for the last 3 weeks.

Start weight was 95.9 Kg

current weight is 82.7Kg

so a reasonable 13.2kg loss so far

I'm going to concentrate a bit more on food I think this week maybe some meal prep.

MrsMiagi · 01/06/2025 22:24

I AM SO BORED of dieting. The food itself isn't much different to how I ate before, lots of fruit, veg, legumes, fish, lean meat etc but I used to snack alot and my portions were huge. I do miss the dopamine hit of a humongous bar of chocolate (albeit short lived).
Also I now can hardly drink. Second month on 7.5mg and my usual Friday and Saturday night booze has reduced to two at most. Now this is all good for my health but I am trying to find other things to do get that dopamine hit instead. I'm going with exercise, much to the amusement of my DH watching me wobble trying to master a lunge 😂

SansaClegane · 01/06/2025 22:31

Popping in to placemark! Beginning of week 17 for me. Have just done my jab, almost forgot as it's been a mad busy day.

Just wanted to say I'm so sorry to all those with awful mothers. I haven't told mine about MJ - she's got a very similar mindset, when I was young (as young as primary aged) I used to only get praised for being slim or "looking slim" (eg in photos) which always held the hint of not actually being so. Grew up thinking I was overweight when actually I wasn't Confused no wonder my body image is absolutely buggered.
Anyway! Onwards and upwards (or downward, as Zibb rightly said)!

Probablyawake · 01/06/2025 22:56

Think I've missed a few threads! Hit a happy milestone today - 3 stone down! On my 2nd 7.5mg pen. Still a long way to go but hoping to stay on 7.5 for the time being.
NSV - stopped snoring!
Hope everyone is doing ok 😊

Umthisisabitawkward · 01/06/2025 22:57

Popping in to placemark, thanks for the new thread! I’m 1.5 stone down and about the same left to go. Only managed to work my way up to 5mg the last couple of weeks, but still losing slowly and steadily. I do wish I was losing a bit quicker, because like some PP I’m starting to feel a bit bored with it by now, and would like to be ‘done’, but on the other hand I’m amazed that I’m still able to stick to eating in a deficit and not constantly thinking about food! Just got to keep plodding on :)
