So much support and encouragement on here. Can’t wait to hear everyone’s continued achievements and NSVs.

Congratulations to everyone who has reached their goal and starting maintenance, and all the warriors still trekking on.

I still have a couple of stone to go. Feeling motivated and ready to go!

We can do this!

I work in London and I treat myself once a week to an amazing salad place. First week back on MJ and I trotted off to get my usual only to realise I couldn't finish it! In fact I barely ate half of it. It's a bloody salad 🤣🤣. Anyway, it's all good, i just forgot how much fuller I get. And it will save me some money as it's good but not cheap!

FunnyCrabDance · 29/07/2025 15:17

Well done @skyscrapersinging Thats great, congratulations , how do you feel?

SpiralSister · 29/07/2025 15:33

Amazing, well done @skyscrapersinging! 🏆

CoolLimeSheep · 29/07/2025 16:03

@SpiralSister I had to go back down to 7.5mg 4 weeks on 10mg was awful for me but it might level out for you! As everyone's different. And like you say can always go back down if need be.
@skyscrapersinging congrats on getting to target. Im back down to 7.5mg and thinking next month 5mg and then 2.5mg. Will let you all know how it goes 🙂👏

PurpleCoo · 29/07/2025 17:15

Sorry to hear about those of you struggling with dose increases.

I'm due to go up this week from 5mg (In fairness it's only slightly less effective in terms of appetite, I think I mentioned before I'm just struggling to stick to 1400 calories, but only want an extra 100-200), but that being said, my weight loss has stalled. I think I am online for about a 1-1.5kg loss over 4 weeks (which was really 3 weeks of sts, and a 1kg loss last week). Really, I should be getting about 2-2.5kg a month at this stage.

I am going to go up to 6.25mg and hope it's enough to push me out of this plateau, but not start any side effects.

As a person who tends to stay on a dose for quite a long time, moving up time does make me apprehensive. I managed 10 weeks on 5mg

Laura992 · 29/07/2025 18:03

Hi everyone, I am 13 pounds away from my goal weight of 130 pounds! So happy I have made it this far. I had my follow up phone visit yesterday with my medical team, and asked if I should start to taper since I am so close to goal.....they said no. Recommended I stay at the 10mg I am on. This will be my 2nd month, after decreasing from 4 weeks on 12.5 mg previously which I did not tolerate well at all. They are hoping to keep me on the 10mg even after reaching goal apparently. If I continue to lose on the 10mg after goal, then will decrease to 7.5mg and go from there. My doctor has already told me he expects me to be on Zepbound for "life". Hope everyone is doing well, I am rooting for all of us!

Well done @skyscrapersinging Thats great, congratulations , how do you feel?

I feel a million bucks! Prior to this I was fat, tired, sore joints, low energy and mood. I‘m so much fitter and sure I must be healthier. Am
tempted to do some of those full
body scans or similar that you seen advertised, just out of interest to see what my muscle mass is etc.

usedtobeaylis · 29/07/2025 20:43

Is anyone with We Prescribe and have any experience of their price matching? Do they price match more than once?

Mounjaroday · 29/07/2025 22:15

Fantastic @skyscrapersinging!

First week on 7.5mg, and I've now lost half of the weight I wanted!

NSV:- gone from a size 18/20 to a 16, and 36H to 34J and my engagement ring is spinning on my

Yes I have stuck with them because they have been cheapest from the beginning. Im on 10mg now. Plus they do maintenance

Lovely, thank you, I've asked them to price match again so fingers crossed. I haven't even thought about maintenance or how that works but good to know I might not need to mess about with prescribers!

usedtobeaylis · 30/07/2025 08:17

I ordered a dress for a thing at the end of August and in a fit of optimism bought the 14. I can just about fit into it! The 16 would be far too big. I think if I can lose 4-5lb in the next month I might be able to wear it comfortably. I love the dress as well, in a style and colour I wouldn't normally wear but it looks good! I will take photos of myself wearing it beforehand though to make sure there's no repeat of looking like a trussed up sausage.

Ooh, good to know. I haven’t been going to the gym, just walking, running and doing hand weights at home. But I feel like the time has come that I really should go. Thinking I might book a couple of sessions with a PT in a gym and get them to come up with a plan for me. Definitely need to be lifting heavy things at my age.

I just go in gym to weigh at moment check my masses. But just started bike riding do aquafit, swimming and walking and couple of exercises at home I like you think I need do some weight training. Your doing loads so that's ace

SpiralSister · 30/07/2025 11:53

Just chiming in with the exercise/weights convo. I only started in the gym recently, and I go just once a week so far (I already do a fair amount of other exercise). I can honestly say that nothing else has had such an impact and in such a short time on my body. Plus it’s essential to guard against muscle and bone loss for the well stricken in years amongst us.

I was chatting to one of the instructors about how quickly I’ve noticed a change and how surprising it is. He was unsurprised - nothing works faster than weights apparently. And in one session a week!

sc0ttishlass · 30/07/2025 12:47

Hello all - been a few weeks since I posted as was on holiday but have been (obsessively) reading daily :) so much to celebrate - @skyscrapersinging hope you are v proud - @Marypoppinsisnosaint hoping things are ok at home? @Mounjaroday congrats on the job! hope you are having a positive week, and to all the warriors - well done whatever stage you are at! we are making positive changes regardless of how long it takes and we all should be proud!

today was start of week 26 - I am half a pound away from top of healthy BMI. I honestly cant believe it - i genuinely never thought this would happen and i believe if it wasn't for Mounjaro, it never would have. I have lost 45.5Lb.

I weigh daily like a lot of you and will continue to do so - it works for me. I felt SO much better going on holiday with this loss - I didnt have to buy new clothes really as had kept some and was obviously squeezing into stuff that i had no right too, and other than my bravissmo purchase (I have always used them but so recommend - it alters your shape massively if you wear the right Bra) i havent had to spend much yet!

I have a week left on my 7.5 pen - and am swithering - i dont feel huge suppression but at the same time not eating hundreds and still losing so i think the advice would be to stay on 7.5. i am also not experiencing any negative side effects. start of my period today and yesterday, ate a full large back of maltesers (and didnt feel sick) annoyed at myself and nervous for when not on this, but figured due to hormones at thsi time of month i need to just get used to that. I didnt binge eat on holiday but had things i wanted and didnt feel like i was missing out. I was in America and was interested at the adverstising of mounjaro on TV over there!

oh one last thing - i have lost weight everywhere but still have such a horrid tummy / loose skin/ overhang thing. can any form of exercise get rid of that? i honestly started thinking about surgery (although i have no money, so obviosuly wont be!) and it also doesnt 'really' bother me but would equally love it to go away! any thoughts?

Thats my update - keep going everyone - we are 6 months in and basically thats all it took to help save our lives :)

Mounjaroday · 30/07/2025 12:50

Ooft I have GOT to start exercising. I know I’ll love it when I get going… it’s just getting going is the problem! Also know I’ve already said about a million times on here now that I really must start exercising.

So today have enquired at my local gym about an initial 3 month membership. I know they do brilliant spin and body pump classes.

Figured it’s a good way of spending the cash I’ve made on Vinted selling my old clothes!

Who else is having fun on Vinted?

@sc0ttishlass hi i spoke to gym instructor other week about overhang belly she said it depends on how far your body has stretched and for how long and for me it will never go back to normal. Was 19 stone 9 🤦‍♀️Also your belly normally is the last thing for your body to let go as it clings to it apparently. My advice would be ask at the gym for advice as im sure some peoples belly does stretch back. I have started losing inch's of my belly. I thought about surgery too but like you have no money so doubt that would happen. Congrats on your progress youve done amazing 👏
I spend far too much on new clothes 🤣
I think i should start going on vinted tbh as I do shein all time

sc0ttishlass · 30/07/2025 14:27

@CoolLimeSheep thanks for that - i will ask at the gym like you say. I suspect not going to go either as almost 50 and been like that for pretty much all of my adult life, and moreso after having the children. ill at least investigate so i know :) I'm not HUGELY fussed about it as I've spent my life I suppose feeeling that my body was a lot worse than it is now, but if there was one think i could 'target'!

SpiralSister · 30/07/2025 14:54
