Welcome one and all to our latest thread!

So much support and encouragement on here. Can’t wait to hear everyone’s continued achievements and NSVs.

Congratulations to everyone who has reached their goal and starting maintenance, and all the warriors still trekking on.

I still have a couple of stone to go. Feeling motivated and ready to go!

We can do this!

@MyHouseInThePrairie if you're not sure whether to go up and can afford it, I would recommend getting the 10mg pen anyway. That way the option is there - you can still take the 7.5mg out of it if you want to stay on it but if you feel the need to go up you then can without waiting for the next order.

SansaClegane · 06/06/2025 18:05

Hi all,

Wonder if this happened to anyone else? Ordered my next pen from Curate Health (same as last month - had a discount code so thought why not). Had to upload pics again. Today I get an email saying I need to book a video consultation, which includes stepping on scales and showing your proof of ID next to your face etc? 😳 was a bit put off by that, nevertheless went to book it so that I'll get my order.
But - they have no appointments left for the entirety of June! Confused I've now contacted them to cancel the order, as obvs it would be on hold until after that consultation, so I'd run out well before that. However they stipulate they have non-refundable "admin costs" to the tune of £25 ...! And of course they've already taken the money, despite putting the order on hold.
Do you think I'll get my full refund from them?!
Also, do I already need to swap to a maintenance provider? I still have about a stone to lose and I'm still at an overweight BMI currently (25.5).
Panicking now as I don't want to go cold turkey!! Still very much feel like I need the medication, although I was going to step down to 5mg anyway.

SansaClegane · 06/06/2025 18:11

Weigh-in details

SW 15 st 0.4 lbs (BMI 33)
CW 11 st 7.4 lbs (BMI 25.3)

Loss so far: 3 1/2 stone! Almost there. Would just like to carry on though 😰

MJSpideySenses · 06/06/2025 18:35

@Ke11 you did better than me. We went to watch it last night. I had a scoop of banana and caramel Baskin Robbins 🙈 I was in my calorie deficit still though.

I STS this week but did lose 3lb last week so I'm not surprised.
I'm on day 10 of my period, really hoping it stops soon, it's normally 5-7 days.

Hoping the rain holds off so we can go for a long walk tomorrow.

@SansaClegane that is very frustrating, hope you get it sorted without too much hassle.

I need to book my next pen soon. I want to move up to 10mg but DH says he thinks I should stick to 7.5 because I'm not eating enough. I can't decide what to do. My daily allowance is 1311 but I eat between 1100 and 1200 usually, so pretty close.

PurpleCoo · 06/06/2025 18:56

Well done to all those reporting losses and NSV.

Injection 17 for me today, 3rd dose of 5mg. This dose still feels spot on for me.

After a few weeks of low losses I lost 1.15kg this week, which not only takes me into the 70s (78.9kg), I am also overweight and no longer obese. Hurrah!

I feel like my body is changing in a good way now I do pump twice a week. I was complaining about my flabby arms and belly last week, well, I think my arms are finally starting to look better and I think I found my tricep 😂 My belly is still freakily disproportionate to the rest of me though. My waist is doing ok though. Trying to keep the faith that is will reduce when I lose more.

Total loss in 16 weeks is 17.45kg.

Does anyone use boditrax? It was really validating to support what I believe about myself. So my visceral fat score is 7 which seems to be excellent! My leg muscle scores are also pretty good too. I'm not sure about the body type analysis though it has me down as very muscular 😂

OvertiredandConfused · 06/06/2025 20:08

The scales have finally moved! I’m 2.5lbs down this week, after staying the same for 10 days.

Week 10 on 7.5mg (week 18 since starting) and I’ve definitely got more appetite. I’m slightly worried about managing without high suppression. I had my usual banana and latte for breakfast then felt bad about eating a cheese scone at a work event early afternoon. A pasta supper tonight will push me close to my daily calorie allowance and I’ve hardly done that for months.

OvertiredandConfused · 06/06/2025 20:12

@MJSpideySenses sounds like our calorie intake is similar. I’m also thinking about going up to 10mg and also know I’m not eating enough regularly.

SpiralSister · 07/06/2025 07:31

Morning lovelies! Weigh in day today. First week of 7.5mg and feeling good. 3lbs off this week, so although it feels the same as 5mg, clearly the suppression has been a little greater. But a very comfortable level and no side effects so far!

SW: 15.5 BMI 35.8
CW: 12.8 BMI 29.3
TL: 2 stone 11 lbs
GW: 10.5 (gets me to a healthily BMI plus some wiggle room)

I am having such fun with clothes! I didn’t think I felt restricted before, because I loved clothes, spent a lot on them and enjoyed wearing them, no matter what size I was. But I had all these rules in my head, subconsciously - no round necks; no tucking in; can’t wear that colour; nothing sleeveless; can't wear this because it emphasises my boobs/tum/arse/thighs. So bloody exhausting.

I don’t care about that stuff any more. I mean, I’m still overweight. I have bingo wings, big thighs, saggy tum. But I don’t care. I don’t care if they show. I am wearing the clothes, they are not wearing me. Does that make sense?

Have a great weekend my lovelies. You are all such warriors, whether it’s a good week or not 💐

usedtobeaylis · 07/06/2025 07:51

W16 D1 - week 5 on 7.5mg

SW: 16st 5lb
CW: 13st 12lb
Loss this week: 1lb
Total loss: 2st 7lb

We're actually away for 4 full days so not sure this will work annoyingly! Think I'm just going to hide it right at the back of the fridge in a sealed bag and hope they don't look too closely. These family members are particularly weird about weight and eating (love a bit of food guilt), and would definitely be judgmental and think WLI are the "lazy option" 😬

I wrap mine in tin foil and put it in a plastic tub if that helps?

WoolerOwl · 07/06/2025 08:19

Sneaky mid month weigh in this morning because I wanted to know if I was still losing. 2.5kg off in the last two weeks on 7.5mg. BMI now 27.5! Past half way to goal. 17% of body mass lost.

Agreeing with other posters, I’m enjoying clothes and shoes much more. And I am Tucking Tops In! Unheard of for me as I was always worried about my tummy overhang. It’s definitely going and I’ve also realised that tucking tops in doesn’t make it worse - it just felt like that when looking from above. I’ve bought a nice belt!

I do similar. Pen wrapped in tissue within a Sterimar nasal spray box in a Tupperware along with a cooling eye mask. Little label on box that says “Migraine meds, please leave” so the kids don’t disturb it. It’s not a lie as I haven’t had a migraine episode in the 15 weeks I’ve been on MJ.

Mounjaroday · 07/06/2025 10:26

Cheeky weigh in this morning and warriors you’ll never guess what. I’ve only gone and snuck into the 70kgs!!

Goodbye 100kgs
Goodbye 90kgs
Goodbye 80kgs
…today I am 79.8kg!

It's hard but don't let it get you down. 6 weeks makes it a plateau and how to break it depends on why it's happening.

Because you've lost a considerable amount already you might need to look at your calories. As you get smaller your calorie requirements are also smaller.
If you are already eating a very low amount of calories then consider upping your exercise to increase your deficit.
You could also try having a week at maintenance or even calorie cycyling, it can sort of trick your body into a "whoosh" and you'll trigger a big loss.
If you're eating enough and maintaining a deficit then I would just wait it out. It could be hormonal, muscle gain, water weight. It's frustrating but the weight will come off. You've got this!

This plus I found upping my water intake also seems to help. Something I saw on here about helping your body wash out excess fat???

Mounjaroday · 07/06/2025 11:18

@mumandgran24 yes absolutely - have also found that having enough water makes a clear impact.

CoolLimeSheep · 06/06/2025 16:04

@MyHouseInThePrairie thank you. I agree with you im going to order some more 7.5mg next week and just keep going with that for now. I started off originally thinking I just wanted get rid of 6 or 7 stone or even just to be able to walk everywhere. But now I think it's possible to actually get to top end of healthy bmi which is 10 stone 5lb for my height. I didn't see alot of change with appearance for a while so my friend said to start taking monthly before and after pics if that helps any of you and it did help me.
It really is possible and im glad I have helped you. Here's my before and after upto now

You look amazing!

CoolLimeSheep · 07/06/2025 14:22

Thank you 😊 really appreciate it.

usedtobeaylis · 07/06/2025 14:47

Does anyone get bruises from their injections? I've always injected in the thigh, alternating each week and I've always had a wee red mark around it that stays for most of the week - which has been helpful as I don't forget which thigh I last injected into. Last week when I withdrew the needle my thigh was bleeding which was fine, I knew it could happen, and it stopped quickly, however I've still got a yellow bruise at the site. This morning I injected the other thigh, and it bled quite a bit more although again stopped quickly. Within a couple of hours I developed a fairly sizeable purple bruise, about the size of two 50ps put together. Is this still normal, and what has changed??

Febnewbie · 07/06/2025 14:59

Yes I used to never bruise but the last few weeks I have.

I am wondering if it's losing weight and so having less fat to inject into?

FunnyCrabDance · 07/06/2025 16:04

I get pink large circles from each injection that take weeks to fade. I can currently see 4 on my stomach, i think its the needles iq dr provide or the higher doses as didnt get these at the start.

Mounjaronewbie25 · 07/06/2025 16:59

I’ve also been getting the pink circles at my injection sites. They can be really itchy too. But it’s only with certain needles.

CoolLimeSheep · 07/06/2025 17:51

I googled and we're meant to alternate in 4 different sites so four different places on the stomach I do mine I've never known to so was getting bruising so will now try that only googled it today hope that helps

usedtobeaylis · 07/06/2025 18:43

That's so interesting. I do tend to alternate pretty much as the picture shows as I was paranoid about accidentally jagging the same bit twice too close together so I do upper thigh and more mid thigh. Good point about the less fat - my thighs are definitely less wobbly.

On another note I had my first takeaway tonight since starting Mounjaro - I'd built a slightly bigger deficit in this week and we had an unexpected quiet and lazy day and... I could hardly eat it. Just chicken fried rice and a coke, managed maybe half and I won't be eating again today that's for sure. Worth it for once since takeaways aren't part of my food picture over the last three months.
