Welcome one and all to our latest thread!

So much support and encouragement on here. Can’t wait to hear everyone’s continued achievements and NSVs.

Congratulations to everyone who has reached their goal and starting maintenance, and all the warriors still trekking on.

I still have a couple of stone to go. Feeling motivated and ready to go!

We can do this!

Anyone's feet suddenly slapping around in shoes that now seem to be slightly too big for them 😂

ashtyler · 03/06/2025 19:21

Checking in as I’ve been AWOL for a while. Still on mounjaro but have had other medical issues so doses have been changed. I’m on 7.5mg every 5days at the moment which seems to be ok for now. Maintained for a few weeks at 5mg so I think that will probably be my maintenance dose.

Half way through according to Shotsy! It’s slowing down but that’s ok, I’m trying to keep my protein and fibre up which is a real struggle. Is anyone else finding the same?

ashtyler · 03/06/2025 19:22

I have two of our threads to catch up on so looking forward to hearing how you’re all doing ☺️

Well done to everyone such amazing weight losses and NSV,
I haven’t lost much on the 7.5 pen so I switched providers to Oushk and am going to start 10mg on Friday. I’m keeping everything crossed I don’t have any side affects going this high,

I’ve also switched to Oushk: their long term maintenance plan looks good but I think you need to join them before your BMI drops too low so I joined at BMI29.
Much slower delivery than medexpress and the 12.5mg and 15mg pens weren’t in stock but I’ve dropped to 7.5mg anyway so not an issue right now.

I know maintenance is a way off for me but the mental health benefits from MJ have been so good that I am happy to stay on it for life and hopefully within a couple of years the daily tablet form will be released and be cheaper than the jabs. I’m using part of my PIP to pay for it but consider it worth it as I’ve actually been able to do more physio due to less strain on my joints, fewer injuries and although I’ll always need the wheelchair, I can now manage a few steps with a walking stick so definitely increasing my quality of life. The quiet from suicidal ideation and OCD has been transformative; I’ve done every therapy and med available so I’m very glad this is an unexpected outcome!

3/6/25 CW 11.4
GW 10.7ish

Been slow and steady and finally got to 2stone! Actually under 25 BMI now too which is a nice feeling. Been watching everyone’s journey and it is inspiring. I need to start adding in some exercise and toning now and I don’t look too bad in clothes but not so great without 😭 Got a few holidays coming up to work towards. Been on 2.5mg to start then 5mg for the 17 weeks I’ve been doing it, still getting not bad suppression but thought I would up my dose to 7mg for the last push… will prob start on 6.25mg to do in gradually. Swapped providers recently which was effortless despite being under the BMI.
I have an event in 2 months that I want to wear a dress I have had years so fingers crossed! Keep going ladies, you are all smashing it 👏🏻

Mounjaroday · 03/06/2025 21:14

@usedtobeaylis yes the shoes thing!
@ashtyler wow sounds like some amazing and positive life changes. Congratulations you!

NSA today (non scale annoyance!) … big lecture from a friend. Here’s some bingo:

  • Don’t lose too much
  • Stop now before you go too far
  • Are you having enough nutrients
  • BMI scales are worthless
  • Muscle weighs more than fat
  • Did you hear about the woman who lost her teeth?
  • And what about Sharon Osbourne
  • How will you manage to maintain
  • … blah blah blah.

Well bollocks to all that. I’m still overweight and still nearer to obese than healthy, and won’t stop until I’ve got myself out of this mess. For me that’s the bloody whole point! Not to be ‘less fat’. But to be not fat at all!

To be fair I’d have said the same, so probably more amused than anything. Perhaps Non Scale Amusement is more accurate!

Went to a training course today where I saw several colleagues id not seen in person for a couple of months. I got loads of very positive comments about how I looked.

strongermummy · 03/06/2025 23:40

Lots of positive comments from work colleagues today and for good reason…..

Monday 2 June 2025 jab 14 W14D1 on 5 mg MJ
SW. 80kg (BMI 30 obese)
CW 67kg (BMI 26 overweight)
Total loss 13kgs (16%)

GW 60kgs (BMI 23 healthy / total loss 19kgs = 24%!)

gw feels achievable…. 😀

Mounjaronewbie25 · 03/06/2025 23:49

@Mounjaroday I need an eye roll emoji reaction for that. I think comments like that generally come from either a place of jealousy or just plain ignorance.

I haven’t told anyone bar DP I’m on MJ and still get the unsolicited advice and stupid comments, just imagine what they would have to say if they knew the full truth!

@usedtobeaylis lol yes I’ve noticed sandals are a lot looser and my rings are falling off. Mounjaro weight loss is definitely different because I’ve never noticed such a drastic difference in my feet and fingers with other weight loss methods.

HangryGreenGoose · 04/06/2025 06:44

@ashtyler it sounds like this has been really beneficial for you. It’s such amazing news that you are being able to do a little more.
There is more and more positive benefits coming out in the news about how this could be a wonder drug for so many other illnesses. Good luck 😀

Housewife2010 · 04/06/2025 12:23

I've finally got to the halfway point! 3 st 0.4 down and 2 st 13.7 to go! I'm so thrilled that this fabulous drug is available. Injection 18 today.

Mounjaroday · 04/06/2025 12:28

Brilliant @Housewife2010!

I’m looking at changing suppliers but I’m second guessing myself 🫣🫣

Can I ask who you’re using? I’ve tried to use the sheet with all the suppliers but prices on the sheet are different than those on the pharmacy website, which doesn’t help either….

I've just switched to WePrescribe and they were really easy and very very quick. Apparently they price match too but I haven't used that yet.

On the Monj website there is a sheet with the prices with discounts and one with the prices without discounts.

Ah.. that might be where I’m going wrong. Thank you!

Hangryfastjo · 04/06/2025 15:10

I switched to Simple online Pharmacy last Friday and my pen was delivered on Saturday!
I emailed them with the price I wanted them to match, they sent an agreement to price match with a code for me to use.
Completed the online assessment. Included a photo of all my pen boxes with my prescription on (not sure if this made it quicker) and 2 photos of myself (done through their website) and it was despatched later and arrived with DPD next day.
I went with them as they price match, I'm not sure what maintenance is like with them, although I am starting to think about this.

Anyone else plateuing where the scales arent moving, your plodding on, but you feel different eg less fat in your body/when looking in the mirror? Im keeping the faith its all going in the right direction

Lola50 · 04/06/2025 19:08

@MissionToSize10 exactly the same here. Tiny losses compared to many here, but I feel different.

MyHouseInThePrairie · 04/06/2025 19:09

Yep small losses here too. And very little for a couple of weeks too. Unsure why as nothing has changed

Probablyawake · 04/06/2025 19:42

Yes! I've had to tighten my Birkenstocks! 🤣

Yes but that's kinda how it has felt the whole time really

I feel physically smaller week on week even when the scales haven't moved

MynameisJune · 04/06/2025 21:30

Has anyone started to lose their hair more? I was hoping to avoid this, my hair thinned really badly towards the end of last year and I put a lot of effort into growing it back. My weight loss hasn’t even been that quick, over the last 15 weeks I’ve lost on average 1.4lb a week.

I’m going to try upping protein even more even though I try to prioritise that over anything else on the days I struggle to eat.

bigbreakfastclub · 04/06/2025 21:30

Anyone had any side effects

Mounjaroday · 04/06/2025 21:33

Do you know what causes the hair loss @MynameisJune? Now I think about it, I do seem to have a little bit more coming out than usual when I brush it.
