Oushk has a new fb group

It's called Oushkers. 5 customers have been given Moderator rights.

I've left the group. I really don't like the idea of customers being moderators.

There’s a big sub thread about it. Someone asking why people who have caused trouble before and ‘sucked up’ are mods.

🍿

Doggymummar · 12/05/2025 19:09

I'm in, but there's is a weird atmosphere. All the rules make it pretty pointless, you can't even say what medication you're on. Meanwhile if you want to talk about self harm, anorexia or CSA, Facebook lets you crack on. It's a weird world where overweight people can't support one another.

Hope that isn't sweet/toffee popcorn and you are sticking within your calorie deficit as you might go through a lot of it!

Just caught up on the thread in question - what a shit show.

Appears one of the trusted mods that "understand the company's ethos" has previously tagged in other customers calling them vile (in capital letters no less!) then blocked them all, so the customers can't actually see they are a mod - and they are now questioning if that is the company ethos if bullying is allowed. 🙈😂🍿

It really was doomed from the beginning, they do tend to have kneejerk reactions, I think those "trusted" mods went from "pick me pick me, I 😍 Oushk" to mod in the matter of hours 😂. They need to step back and think things like this through more, especially when just one day before there was a huge kerfuffle due to 2 customers going off like loose canons and creating their own Oushk groups and issues with privacy and reputation were raised.

FoxChops · 12/05/2025 22:30

I love being part of these daft groups they keep setting up purely for the comedy value of the posts and all the daft regular posters in there. One woman just posts constantly in a really weird ownership type tone. Just bizarre but I can’t stop lurking

so this leads me to believe that I possibly need to look at a new pharmacy tbh. I’ve been maintaining for 5 months now and I just want a pharmacy who’ll act like a pharmacy tbh. Oushk clearly don’t know what they want to be… social media influencers? A serious pharmacy? Who knows?

FoxChops · 12/05/2025 22:32

@kwmounjarothe SA woman is something else isn’t she? 🤣

must. Stop. Looking.

Think it's the right move! I find it really concerning and sad that people have made an oushk Facebook group their whole personality

FoxChops · 12/05/2025 23:04

I’m literally blown away by that SA woman. Who the actual fuck does she think she is? What a weirdo.

What she done now!?

FoxChops · 12/05/2025 23:15

@kwmounjaro she has three threads in the group. On one of these threads, someone has offered themselves up as a moderator. She’s said ‘ we will need more mods. Noted.’

like it’s her company or her page. It’s so so strange

Yeah, I'm done with Oushk now too. All I want is a reliable source of a prescription medication, to feel that my safety is the priority and professional standards are maintained. Oushk are giving my reasons to doubt all three at present.

The whole verification call thing is a fiasco, nothing has been communicated beyond the Facebook group, so is it a policy or not?

I also put an order in last week that hasn't been confirmed yet and as we stand, I have no medication to take on Friday. Will it arrive in time or not, no idea. I can't be titting about like this with something this important.

I'm with medexpress and people slag them off but they've delivered my medication everytime without fail!

kwmounjaro · 12/05/2025 23:26

I do feel Oushk are out of their depths now. I think they quickly gained in popularity and what once was a pharmacy which was personable due to the smaller customer Base has now got too big to be able to provide a 'personable' experience.

Original customers have got too attached to the main pharmacist which is bizarre and feel they need to protect a pharmacy.

I genuinely feel bad for Oushk as I think they would probably want without this online presence.

FoxChops · 12/05/2025 23:30

I was with medexpress and never had an issue. Never used or shared a discount code - just ordered, it was approved within an hour sometimes and it was all seamless. I only went to Oushk as my bmi is now 22 and I’d like to slowly taper down and Medexpress don’t support this

but I just can’t even with this un professionalism. I’m sure Hira is a lovely woman but tbh I don’t need all this drama. I need to be sure that I’m dealing with a proper pharmacy and right now, not feeling that at all

TheChosenTwo · 12/05/2025 23:32

I’ve been with Oushk since the beginning and have never joined a Facebook group for it - what’s it even for? What’s the need for it?
Been happy enough with them as a provider so as long as I keep getting what I order I’m alright.

doodleschnoodle · 12/05/2025 23:36

I’ve never had any issues with the actual supplying medicine part of Oushk, they’ve always been prompt and my maintenance call with Hira was good, she listened and was very friendly. But I think they must spend a disproportionate amount of time dealing with all this FB shite. People tagging her in it to ask stupid questions about ordering and stuff. Just sell the medication, do some marketing stuff on Instagram etc which is just putting info out there, but reduce the two-way dialogue would be my suggestion. The FB stuff is a distraction.

doodleschnoodle · 12/05/2025 23:39

And I joined the FB group as it’s where the discount codes are posted and also a lot of info about stuff is only communicated via there, like early notice of the weight verification calls stuff. I don’t even know if non-FB customers have ever properly been told that from July they can’t order without having one of those calls (and they are pretty much booked till then I believe). That’s my understanding anyway, as that’s when the new rules come into force. I got mine booked after seeing it on FB but DH doesn’t seem to have had any info about it that he can see (disclaimer that he is awful at dealing with emails but I did have a look through mine too and couldn’t see anything).

OushkSmoushk · 13/05/2025 00:47

Oh you mean the social media influencer brand, Oushk?

SMH and LMAO!

Oh, I definitely didn't see this coming since last year, oh no, not at all🤐...and more will come in due time.

Some of their brand ambassadors and promoters on Mumsnet are changing their tune now as if they've not been like their facebook Hira-worshipping, weirdo members on here.

(As always, I won't be responding to them. They know themselves).

In terms of a similar pharmacy, try Livewell. They were really fantastic with me. If you call them a pharmacist answers the phone and they follow all the regulations, they support maintenance and they've been going above and beyond for patients who other pharmacies haven't got time for as other pharmacies just want people they can process as quickly as possible. Livewell even said they'd consider a patient on cancer treatment who the consultant had given a green light but the big pharmacies wouldn't touch because they didn't want to liaise with the GP etc.

I'm not affiliated at all and I really dislike affiliates. I'm just a very happy customer. Pharmulous are apparently very similar, maybe give them both a call.

They email me mine, if you subscribe to the newsletter. It might go to junk but at least you won't be in the group if you don't want to be.
