Oushk has a new fb group

It's called Oushkers. 5 customers have been given Moderator rights.

I've left the group. I really don't like the idea of customers being moderators.

All the posts about what you can’t say, what’s even the point of it? What can you even post?! Every time I look now it’s just weird emojis to try get round the rules.

Maintenance group is much better.

Yeah I'm the same. Never joined one of the newer iterations of the big group and then decided to leave the maintenance group too. The feeling that unpleasantness was always about to break out, finally did for me. No regrets but hoping I'm not missing important news.

Do they not think all this might just em, put people off Oushk rather than attract them to it?

Sounds dodgy. Just before I left Oushk they were talking about not having influencers when they clearly do so would guess they have done something similar with SA. Voting with your feet is the best way and report any genuine concerns to the GPC.

Doesn’t come up when I search, they must have made it so people can’t search it or something.

@NewLifteryou’re absolutely correct - it is that awful SA crackpot. Oushk are absolutely shagging their business to the ground and they’re not credible at all. The sole reason I’m with them is because they have made it relatively simple for me to get my maintenance dose - I’m currently talking with two other pharmacies about switching over because I detest the whole wannabe influencer vibes from this pharmacy and mark my words - they’ll fall foul of pharmaceutical regulations at some point soon. Can spot it a mile off

they need to be transparent about who can see what and what role LH plays at Oushk

I think you may be right - their reputation is being badly damaged by the use of Tiltok affiliates and the FB chaos. Shame cause I genuinely believe Hira's done a great job of building the company and staying ahead of new regulations (like weight verification videos) and trends (talking directly to patients via lives, the first to recognise the need for maintenance prescribing). I've been with them a year and seen some really good progress but this sort of stuff is horrible.
BTW, what does this LH/SA do?

@KrankyKumquatshes called Sally and she’s decidedly odd. Would speak to other fb group members like she was wearing a white coat and carrying a stethoscope and they were her slightly dense patients 🤣

Just speaking with some weird misplaced authority and then she’d post long diatribes about how people weren’t doing what she thought they should do or correcting perceived wrongs etc

it was just really off putting to read. She’s a total Oushk fan girl and I’d bother from the teoupnofbit was mine and take the loss of custom on the chin - she’s almost brand damaging tbh

Makes you wonder who these people are to be weirdly obsessed with Oushk and what life they have outside of it really. Bit strange

Oh god, I can just imagine it. Starting a big statement, with a 'I just want to say..' Like we're hanging on their every word as they're so wise, tbf there's a few of them around. I'm on Reddit and oushk's reputation there is pretty much in the gutter and there's some equally batshit people who seem to have a life mission to bring them down.

And yes, @Orangesandlemons77 , as the youngsters would say, they need to go touch grass. Very odd behaviour, I think we'd probably hide if we spotted 'em in Aldi. Do none of them have jobs or families or a nice hobby? MJ's given some people a reason to get up in the morning I guess....which is nice.

I don't really get it. It's just a pharmacy, would people be so obsessive about say, their GP practice?

I know, it's completely bizarre. I don't want to be a snob but I wonder if some of it has to do with the type of people (mostly women in this case) who are very involved and invested in FB (and Tiktok). They're desperate to belong to the 'in group' and to feel important and knowledgeable, and this is an arena where they can feel powerful and act out, without anyone knowing them irl. Bit like the women who get completely obsessed about high profile true crime mysteries such as Nicola Bulley, Madelaine McCann and Jay Slater. I don't know, just my theory. They're certainly pretty insufferable.

I'm just not comfortable knowing a random fellow patient has access to my info when I post anon and is passing it to other patients, it makes me feel very uncomfortable.

Definitely not nuts. Its an abuse of confidentiality and misuse of the position of group admin. Creating cliques, bullying, silencing - the last thing a group like this needs. I'd be bloody furious too.

Can anyone confirm for me - is it still the case that new customers with oushk don't have to have a weight verification video before they can order? There's a bit of a wait for video appts but presumably new people can book ahead and order with a photo, etc

I've heard that this is the case but I haven't used oushk myself yet. Don't forget to check on monj for a code

I didn't, I ordered (was with med Express originally) and then booked a weight verification call.

@KrankyKumquat I believe it’s currently still the case that you can order with just photos but is due to change in July (not sure when in July) and it will change to new customers having to have a weight verification call before they are given their first order, at least that’s what I think is due to happen.

Thanks all, I didn't think they did but got into a spat with someone on reddit who makes up shit to put people off going with oushk 🙄. It's very weird.

The FB group is nuts. Lots of ill informed insufferable bores. I don't post but watch it with morbid curiosity as some of the clientele are interesting to say the least.

I have found that the group, especially the ones that have lost a lot are now thinking they are weight loss gurus and opining the age old tropes of 'eat less move more' which is weird considering they are on MJ in the first place.

I find the group so annoying and really don't like the influencers having such a role. Some of the advice is really dodgy and a few pics look suspiciously familiar.
