Welcome to thread 21.

Massive congratulations to any one who lost even a little bit over the past few weeks, and hello to any one who is new to the threads or is just taking the leap into starting their mounjaro journey.

Ooh where are they?

Not sure exactly but you can message them directly from their webpage.

Have you tried changing the battery? A weak/low battery can cause scales to be erratic?

My DH did and it said he was heavier than before changing them! So he declared they are going in the bin 😂

MountKilimounjaro · 27/09/2024 13:52

Hello @MOUNtkilimanJARO !! So funny. Great minds.

Am surprised we've not bumped into each other before on these threads. Lovely to meet you!

Hope your journey on MJ is going well.

🤣
I've binned scales for the same reason before

Has anyone ever had contact with curate pharmacy?

I emailed them early this morning re no delivery of order today, absolutely no response what so ever, I am so mad with them, I will never ever use them again.

InspectorGidget · 27/09/2024 16:37

I finally broke the 'under 15st barrier / 2 stone loss'.

I'll do my proper update on official weigh day on Monday but I can see and feel progress now.

My size 20 'big coat' from last year has room for 2 in it but I've just listed for sale as I need to get rid of things that don't serve me well.

It's given me a spring in my step for the weekend - off to spin shortly which I could easily have cancelled today!

Have a good weekend all - see you on the next thread!

HippoPortlyMouse · 27/09/2024 17:29

Sorry if this has come up before. Anyone know why Juniper say pens can be used for 6 weeks after opening where everywhere else it's 30 days?

Juniper page - you have to scroll down a bit - www.myjuniper.co.uk/articles/saxenda-ozempic-storage?srsltid=AfmBOooZbhVazmzo7JP5r-eSmtf0TLeznYMJx4NMs-b99lyKtKBEVesF

It says "A Mounjaro or Wegovy pen is still okay to use after 6 weeks after its initial use,"

Is this just an error?

butterfly0404 · 27/09/2024 18:01

Currently going through my wardrobe ditching all the size 16's off to charity, even the 14's are too big really but until I've gone shopping for new clothes I'm a bit stuck.... 🙃 Super super happy :-)

GlueNoGlue · 27/09/2024 18:02

Weigh day for me. Only 1lb down this week which means I’ve only lost 8lb this month. Hoping to use this as a kick up the arse to try harder next month

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 28/09/2024 07:34

Sorry lovelies. Fell asleep before I could make a new page last night. What a crazy day yesterday was! Going to have a cup of tea and I'll get right on it.

We've still got 39 posts left in this one @Jimmyneutronsforehead - prioritise that caffeine!

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 28/09/2024 07:51

Overnight I seem to have lost 1.25kg, or my scales lying but they said the same thing even when I moved them round the bathroom floor so I feel inclined to believe them. I am going to now make up for it though with a kettle full of tea. 🫖☕️

We have a thread 22.

Now I'm off to empty a storage unit of a full houses worth of stuff, so I'm going to get my exercise in one way or another today, but I am going to treat myself with some calorie free yarn shopping afterwards. Happy Saturday everybody.

@HippoPortlyMouse Yes! Guidelines say that MJ pens are good for 30 days. Wegovy may be different and that's confused them?

I've been on MJ since mid June, and have always had constipation - I've used suppositories, Milk of Magnesia etc. Now I've just moved up to 10mg and have diarrhoea lasting two days each week 😭. This is worse because my tummy really hurts! Might this get better, or does 10mg just not suit me, do you think?

This time two weeks ago I was googling how often you can use Milk of Magnesia, and now I'm doing the same for Immodium!

livingwithpmdd · 29/09/2024 15:20

@Plusmousse I found 10mg too much for my stomach I had severe pain and sickness. I had to drop down to 9 and work back up slowly. Currently on 9.5 and aiming to try 10 again next week. The pain and sickness stopped as soon as I dropped down and haven't returned as I've eased back up.

Some people talked about going back down to 7.5 and that working for them. Maybe think about reducing the dose next time?

Thank you so much for replying. I feel miserable at the minute, and this is my second week.

Can I ask how many weeks you did 9 for, before building back up? I think I might need to go back to 7.5

livingwithpmdd · 29/09/2024 18:38

@Plusmousse no problem, I felt miserable too, was worried about having to stop. I put a message on here and lots of people replied to say they'd also struggled with 10 which made me feel better too.

I did 2 weeks at 9 and this week at 9.5, plan to do tomorrow at 9.5 and then try 10 next week. Hope you feel better soon 💜

AnnieMcFanny · 29/09/2024 20:34

I’ve just taken my 4th dose of 5mg but I haven’t weighed myself for 10 days now as I’m away from home. I can feel I’ve lost weight though and I’m looking forward to getting on the scales next Sunday.

I live in the Middle East and my pens are sent from the Uk. It’s all been plain sailing and the problems some of you have receiving your pens is atrocious.

Tireduk · 30/09/2024 06:27

Hi, I’ve been on 7.5 for 2 months and stayed on 5 for 2 months. With all the comments about 10, I’m unsure about going any higher. My suppression doesn’t seem as good as it did originally, although I’m aware there’s so much out their on when coming off MJ, people put the weight back on and so why do we all keep going up as will the body react more when we’re not on it. I keep thinking lifestyle change, long term. Other than more suppression, are there clear benefits to 10, reading some of the concerns, very unsure.

Some move to 10 with little issue. It can be hard, it was for me, but not for everyone. I have worked my way up to it and am 9.5 at the moment with no side effects.

Everyone has to decide what is right for them and everyone will experience it differently so if you think it's right to, move up to slowly with it or if you are doing ok where you are stay there. Only you know what feels right for you ☺️

I've moved to 10mg and seen no difference at all to 7.5mg.
Occasional vague nausea and maybe a bit constipated but nothing of note
