You don't need to keep it in the fridge

Just under 30 degrees.

You only have 30 days to use it when it's been out of the fridge. I'm not using until 2nd week in October.

@Lastchancefatty If you know how to look back at my recent post (I'm not tec savy) someone kindly sent that statement to me, and I quoted it to Zava who agreed to replace my pen.

Thank you. Someone has kindly posted it 🙂

Help - I need an excuse. I've ordered from the Family Chemist and they apparently need a signature so I will have to stay home till it arrives tomorrow. I am supposed to be working from the office.

What can I tell work? What can be in a parcel that needs a signature that I need to stay home? Or something that is important enough that I would stay home to get it rather than just let it be re delivered on Friday when I will be home? My mind is a blank.

I am friends with my manager so am expecting to be asked if it is something nice. I am hoping it will be delivered in the morning so I can still go to the office in the afternoon.

Documents? Important documents (passports, legal documents, etc) are often sent with signed for delivery.

@Lastchancefatty I'm sure somebody said Eli Lilly have a number you can ring and they will check if the stability is affected for you. I don't know where I saw it but somebody else on here may remember

NippyCrab · 25/09/2024 20:25

@Choux say a family member has ordered a phone or a smart watch and it's a signature or a pin for DPD? Or maybe an item of jewellery for a gift? Xx

Timetofindme · 25/09/2024 20:26

@butterfly0404 someone used my code and the credit took a day or two to appear. Guess it might be when an order is approved/ prescribed rather than placed. How long has it been since your code was used?

It’s the chat function and yes they check and tell you then and there. Spoiler alert: it won’t be affected and will be totally fine

@Timetofindme it was yesterday so probably still in the approval process. Thanks for that, much appreciated

That's reassuring, but why do they make a thing of it if it doesn't matter?

I am really celebrating tonight!!

My first dose of MJ was on 21st August, and I’ve finally broken through the 1 stone lost. Admittedly it’s all off of my boobs and bum so far and not my stomach, but it feels so good. Only a few more lbs and I will be in the 14 stone bracket, somewhere I haven’t been since February 2023, and that was only briefly.

SW 16st 4lb
CW 15st 2lb

4 weeks of 2.5mg and 2 weeks of 5mg.

Side effects are I’ve been having breakthrough bleeding even though I haven’t had any periods since I started the mini pill. Also I can play a trumpet with my farts!

Plusmousse · 25/09/2024 22:45

SilenceInside · 25/09/2024 18:43

@Plusmousse it is a tricky decision. But, do you have to order already? Could you leave it another couple of weeks till you're using your next 10mg pen and see how you are on it?

That's what I'm wondering - how long can you order after the last order before they make you go back to the lowest dose? Is it just 4 weeks?

I think I might stay on 10mg for another month, but has anyone done that and regretted it, please?

LucyBnotG · 26/09/2024 00:15

Louboo3 · 25/09/2024 16:25

Has anyone ordered from The slimming clinic? If so how long was it before approved/ posted? It’s so hard work knowing when to order to try and work out when someone will be in isn’t it!

I have been using The Slimming Clinic. For my first three months I did the subscription with the Dr appts so my experience/process might be different.

My first pen arrived the day after approval, I think they were trying to impress me! There were no tracking updates so I was pleasantly surprised when the knock at the door came. The second pen was approved on a Monday, sent Tuesday and received on a Wednesday with tracking updates. The third pen was approved on a Thursday, dispatched on a Monday and delivered with tracking updates on a Tuesday.

I'm not sure if this helps but I haven't heard too many people talking about The Slimming Clinic so thought you might appreciate the perspective.

Although I've been happy enough with their service, I will be trying a different provider next month to get a better deal.

Tireduk · 26/09/2024 06:24

@Plusmousse I’ve ordered both later and earlier than the four weeks. I’ve also gone to another organisation and then returned back 5 weeks later to the original pharmacy and no one has ever questioned orders. I think this is a money making situation for them, sorry me being cynical, so they are pleased to have your business and I don’t know any who question dates. Medexpress email me to order, so I know they would take me back at any time. Keep proof of your purchases though..

@SilverHeels, thanks for the pod cast, interesting, although it’s a real worry on the % who keep weight off versus put it back on. It would be really helpful if people who are on maintenance keep in touch.

Well done to all those big losses and the slow losses and stallers, everyone will get there, it’s not a race and steady, slow progress might help with keeping it off, remember that.

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 26/09/2024 08:08

Weight is slowly dropping again, woohoo!

I quit my job yesterday and had a couple of drinks to celebrate a new chapter in life. I didn't have much and I felt absolutely fine.

Today I am ravenous though. I think I'm going to bring forward my 2.5mg top up by a day. I'm also feeling a bit stressed and nervous about the fact I have quit my job so I'm trying to not let those emotions influence what I eat today. Also need to do a supermarket trip which I don't want to do when I'm feeling like this otherwise I'll definitely make some poor choices.

Nobody quits their job without good reason in this economic climate @Jimmyneutronsforehead so it was obviously the right decision for you. Onwards and upwards! (but not on the scales, they can go downwards 😂)

WitchyBits · 26/09/2024 08:43

I came away in holiday with my grandkids to Butlins and was due my jab yesterday..... but I forgot my pen! Yesterday I had the appetite of a thousand men but I think I did ok. I had a protein shake for breakfast and then we had to eat out for a birthday and I had a starter of sloppy Joe dirty fries. Then I fell into a bag of sugared donuts on the sea front and ate 3 of them ☹️. Then had to have a piece of cake after the blowing out of the candies. I'm very conscious of trying my hardest to stay on track today but it's the first time in 7 weeks I've slipped so I'm going to just get over it until I'm home tomorrow. If anything I'm hoping the carbs will just help me go to the loo 😂

Back on it tomorrow!

I'm just not built for customer facing job roles 😂. I've done 10 years of it and I've seen it all from being blamed for people's lack of accountability to singing Bon Jovi songs with someone suicidal for 2 hours while emergency services turn up. None of this was in the job description and sadly my face has subtitles that are in a different language to my mouth and I'm really not a good singer. Time to find something better I think.

If you inject into your arm do you do it on the outer bit or the inside? The inside is fatter 🤣

BellaCriesAndThatsAlright · 26/09/2024 09:54

Just received a MedExpress order that was sent out very quickly and has arrived quickly. Packs clearly hadn't been frozen. They really aren't worth bothering with any more are they?

3wDavid · 26/09/2024 10:09

Jab & weigh-in day for me:

  • week 17 / dose 5 mg
  • 1 kg / 2 lbs down this week
  • SW: 107.2 kg
  • CW: 83.8 kg

Officially been on MJ for 4 months now (as of yesterday) and have lost 51.5 lbs.

imnottoofussed · 26/09/2024 10:32

That's odd, my MedExpress arrived yesterday both still had ice inside the packs.

My relatives cloud parcel on the other hand was fully defrosted and their packaging is totally crap. One ice pack inside a foil bubble wrap bag. No wool or insulation at all.

Yeah mine felt like they hadn't been frozen at all and the pan was room temperature. I complained and got the standard fob off response 🙄I've responded pointing all this out. I'm done with them.
