Well I finally decided to make the jump to Oushk after taking about it for ages. I'm usually a loyal customer and hate jumping around for anything so stuck with Zava for my first three pens. However my pens never arrived cold and I hated having no idea when to order as there are only certain days I can be available to receive it.

Oushk have £25 off at present so I decided to go for it. It was about £10 more than Zava due me having loads of codes for Zava, and Oushk charging a lot for delivery.

However guess what, it was despatched last night and arrived at 9am today......with ice pack still frozen. That's a first for me! It always took 48 hrs with Zava.

I hope that my next pen will be for maintenance so that will be 15% off and free delivery with Oushk.

Very happy MJer here 😊

Great decision. Their service and delivery has been first class throughout

MountKilimounjaro · 27/09/2024 03:27

@Plusmousse I was exactly the same. So fed up of constantly worrying about delivery or finding codes. I'm now with Family Chemist and highly rate them.

I don't have to stress about finding the cheapest deal and they also have a price match promise but have never needed it.

From order to delivery has always been within 48 hours, you can use a Saturday delivery option if you prefer. Packaging is really good not overly bulky: frozen ice packs, wool wrap and a discreet small cardboard box. Just super fuss free.

You do have to order a big box of needles and swabs at the start (100 needles in a box so you're set for a long time!) but there are lots of £5 off opening codes that cover that cost.

The switching process was easy and quick. They also say they will continue to prescribe indefinitely as long as you started with them with a bmi above 25 (and as long as your bmi doesn't dip below 17).

Sorry, sound like I'm really pushing them but I just like how much nicer it is to be with a supplier and not have to constantly be thinking about price or delivery or worrying they'll cut me off when my BMI hits 25 (ha! that last part feels like a lifetime away; 3 stone 8 lb down and roughly the same still to go).

MountKilimounjaro · 27/09/2024 03:39

I tried the arm injection yesterday. Keen to see if changing up location increases bioavailability and helps me move out of a stall.

My period has just started and yesterday I had my first out of control eating since I started in March. Demolished a whole pack of Jaffa Cakes in a day and a slice of cake (this was all pre injection so not the fault of location choice). No idea what came over me. It's now 3am and I'm awake feeling queasy.

I'm mainly annoyed with myself for getting complacent and thinking having ambient sweet food in the house was safe.

Trying to focus on the positive, in the past that would have been way worse and would like have indicated falling out of healthy eating entirely.

Just had an update from DPD my delivery today ( i paid for named day delivery, the named day being TODAY) is delayed! No one will be here tomorrow were off to a wedding 😱😭
What can I do? I wont accept a pen that has been left at room temperature for potentially the entire weekend as I dont need to start it for 2 weeks - although they wont leave the parcel so whenever they do try to deliver it no one will be here anyway so probably get returned to sender.
Ffs why can companies not get this right, to be fair it isn't curates fault its DPD. Looks like I've got the hassle on my hands now to get a refund or replacement in time, which will be bloody difficult as again no one will be in 😭😱. Frustrating

letshavetea · 27/09/2024 07:16

@pinkyp22 I had exactly the same yesterday with DPD. I’m with Oushk and it was my first order. The named day was the 25th and the SMS said it was delayed. The pen arrived yesterday - 26th at midday. A pain as they require a delivery code to be quoted. Absolutely no way of contacting DPD either as their messaging service is clearly AI and when you phone you get an automated message telling you your delivery is delayed!!!
The ice pack had melted but was cold and the pen liquid was clear and Oushk told me that it would be fine to use. Is it worth phoning your supplier to tell them what’s happened and see if they’ll send another pen out to you?
Enjoy the wedding!
if anyone knows what Royal Mail are like - please tell me as I can opt to use them next time.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 27/09/2024 07:23

@letshavetea in my area, RM are WAY better than DPD with parcels generally arriving in the time slot they give. I do think it is area dependent though!

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 27/09/2024 07:35

We're close to a new thread! I will hop on it tonight. Got a busy day today getting SEN DS off to school which is a fight, meeting an employment advisor to discuss my recent departure and taking a friend to lunch for a belated birthday.

Not weighed myself this morning because I had a very late dinner last night, but going to stick to a small 3 plate tapas lunch when I go out today. Maybe some prawns, calamari and hummus.

Really been focusing my energy into managing stress this week. I seem to have really gotten into a good sleep cycle for the first time in my life but I don't know how long that will last, and the gym just took a payment from me so I'm feeling a bit guilty for not having had the energy to attend, and I've no motivation to attend either but that could change overnight with the flick of a wand or a miracle. I'm really looking forward to Christmas light season because every year at Christmas, DS and I get the pushchair ready, loads of blankets, bottle of warm hot chocolate, and every night we walk the estate looking at everyone's Christmas lights. I absolutely love when the leaves have dropped, it's cold, foggy, the leaf litter is covered in glittery shimmery frost lit by street lights, people's box hedges look jewelled, and it's cosy like every one is a little doll living inside a warm little dolls house but my goodness does it help with the Christmas calories doing all that walking about.

What a lovely image @Jimmyneutronsforehead! I love the sound of a Christmas lights walk. Sounds like a lovely form of exercise.

@MountKilimounjaro ive injected in my arm today after reading about it on here last night. First time I’ve switched where I inject so hoping it’ll help with the side effects! Any idea why it has to be the back of the arm not the inside?

To ensure that you hit a fatty bit

NewLifter · 27/09/2024 08:32

Gosh I'm sorry to see some of you are having issues with DPD.

If it's any consolation, my pens from Zava never arrived cold yet have always been extremely effective - I get excellent suppression right through the whole week and the whole pen. It always took 48 hrs - including at the height of summer.

Hence why I'm still only on 3.75mg after 13 weeks.

I really wouldn't stress about it.

Thanks for that.
I have actually managed to speak a real person to DPD who say it wont be delivered till tomorrow - they have TWO days to deliver! I said no I paid for named day delivery........ The named day being today not tomorrow 😅🤔
If you say yours was still cold enough to pass being deliverd afyer 48 hours Ill scramble to find somone to house sit for me tomorrow.

There is no phone number I can find for curate so I have sent an email, but I will be asking for a refund of postage at the very least for the inconvenience.

Royal mail are just as bad here and will give you a time frame for delivery and miss it by 6 hours 😒 which is no good when ive got somone to stay in for me purposely to receive the dam parcel!

Im seriously considering just paying extra at boots or asda so I can physically go and collect it instead of having all this agro.

Anyone have a phone number for curate?

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 27/09/2024 08:37

Re injecting arm with bonus dose in syringe - easy peasy, no issues at all!!

BellaCriesAndThatsAlright · 27/09/2024 08:44

I find DPD are usually reliable where I live but royal mail can be awful. MedExpress said they were sending my replacement by special delivery 1pm yesterday and the status of that suggests that they haven't even given it to royal mail yet 🙄

KrankyKumquat · 27/09/2024 09:14

I know it's a long shot but if anyone has terrible issues with deliveries and happens to live in/near Manchester or is happy to travel in every couple of months, Oushk allow in-person collections (and you can buy more than 1 pen at a time).

MelainesLaugh · 27/09/2024 09:36

What scales does everyone use?

I’m pretty sure that there’s something iffy going on with mine, out of interest I weighed myself before and after having my morning wee. Apparently I’ve put on 3lb AFTER having a pee. I’m not sure that’s even possible let alone correct!!!

@MountKilimounjaro Hello me or twin! I was shocked when I saw your username, wondering when I had posted here. 😅 Then I realised the difference in spellings.

Thinking alike, are we? The name Mounjaro kept reminding me of Mount Kilimanjaro, hence the name Grin

NewLifter · 27/09/2024 09:53

If you go with RM, I believe that you can have it delivered to your local post office, to save you waiting in

TryingAgainAgainAgain · 27/09/2024 10:02

SilenceInside · 26/09/2024 16:17

@TryingAgainAgainAgain I would say it's done two, as the slightly longer line marker is the "after 2 doses" point. Did you do less than a full dose for one of the injections?

Thank you, that's reassuring. I got in a muddle with my first jab (despite watching the video three times) and ended up squirting a fair amount across the carpet 🤦🏻‍♀️ I didn't even notice the markings were different lengths.

I know of a pharmacy with a similar collection arrangement near Blackpool if anyone is in that area and I'm happy to find out how it works for you if needed

Have you tried changing the battery? A weak/low battery can cause scales to be erratic?

Swissrollover · 27/09/2024 11:26

My scales were erratic once as a little dust bunny had got under one of the feet. Similarly, make sure the scales are level on a hard floor.
