Im back on the wagon, still plodding along on my 2.5 haha. I actually counted clicks and went up to 3.75mg this week as didn’t feel much benefit last week. I’m 2.5st down, bmi 36-29. Still a couple of stone to go, but am happy doing it slowly at a low dose with no side effects. Looking forward to feeling much more comfy in the summer with the heat and what to wear. Last year was bloody awful.

Hello all

Been a while I last took Mj in early dec but had 3 months off.
Had a pen waiting and in the 3 months I gained 3/4 kilos.
Due to birthdays xmas holiday etc.
anyway back on it now. Need to lose another 2/3 kilos.

It's a worry tho as I can't go on and off forever.

I was definitely more likely to over eat during those 3 months. Hence the weight coming back on.

I was thinking that it might be an annual mounjaro January to get off any weight that has crept on during the year. But then I guess the bmi would be too low to prescribe. I wonder if people stock pile for this reason.

How’s the maintenance going squad!?
im 3 stones down and went up to 5mg this week, feeling the indigestion I got when I started.

has anyone else revised their goal weight when they realise its actually doable? My goal was always bmi of 25 but now it feels possible to go a bit lower.

Jfw82 · 28/05/2025 17:37

@ToriiMjYes I revised my original goal which originally was bmi 25 and now aiming for BMI 21 (currently down to 22.5) I don’t think I ever expected it to be as effective as it has been

MzHz · 29/05/2025 13:35

I’m 30kg down, think I’ve got another 10kg to go.

im on 12.5mg, have a maintenance call booked mid June. Might see if I can go up to 15mg for that last push.

then I’ll decide what maintenance looks like. I think I’ll continue on the medication, maybe taper down a bit after a while.

gone from size 20/22 to a 12, 10 at M&S, sooooo much happier, healthier and really enjoying clothes and stuff like that again

MzHz · 29/05/2025 13:37

It’s incredible what we have achieved isn’t it? I am not sure I believed it was possible back in July. I looked at the goal weight and thought that it’d be nice, but I don’t think I could get there.

Hello all, I'm 22kg down - I had some unrelated health issues earlier this year so went off for a while, then restarted, and now onto the final push for the last 6kg!

Still on 7.5mg so might have to go up one last dosage to get the last bit of weight off as I've been maintaining for quite a few weeks now. I just want to be in the middle of the healthy BMI range so if my weight naturally fluctuates up and down a few pounds it's at least within healthy, rather than tipping into overweight.

Once I get the final 6kg off I will start tapering down and then see how I go. I'm not averse to staying on a maintenance plan if I need to but when I stopped earlier in the year for 6 weeks, I didn't lose or gain so perhaps I can do the same once I taper down.

It is honestly the best thing I've ever done for my health!! Anyone who compliments me on my weight loss, I tell them I'm on it because that's what gave me the bravery to start.

DamnItBetsy · 04/06/2025 20:56

Hi everyone. I’m 3 stone down now. My original goal was 10st12 and I’m currently 9st5. I’m a size 10 and sometimes an 8! Never in a million years thought that could be me. I’m still taking MJ because I’m too scared to stop and pile it all back on. My face has definitely aged with the fat loss so I don’t want to lose any more.

gimmemounjaro · 10/06/2025 08:46

Hi all, I am down 5st 3, currently just under 12 stone and at the top of healthy BMI. I have half a stone to go to get to my original goal but now I think I might try to go a bit further as I still have a big tummy and chunky thighs. Maybe another 1.5 stone would be good, although it’s coming off very slowly now. I’m so happy with where I am though, it’s unbelievable, completely transformed my life, so worth every penny that I have spent on MJ. I have not been this weight since I was a child.

I did get up to 15mg but didn’t feel well on that dose so came back down to 10mg and have been there for a few months. I have been buying 12.5mg pens though and getting 6x doses from each one, so I have a few pens stockpiled now. I plan to buy two more and then stop, gradually tapering down over the next six months or so. I have worked hard to change my lifestyle but I know I’m still vulnerable to stress eating and have had the odd binge so I need to work on that. If it gets hard to maintain as I taper down I will maybe continue at a low dose if I can find an amenable provider. I’d rather spend the money elsewhere though!

Xiaoxiong · 11/06/2025 09:43

Coming off slowly for me too, but I went up to 10mg 2 weeks ago. I feel like clothes are getting a bit looser again though the scales have not moved yet. I'm going to up my water intake and step count again and see if that helps with the last stone.

I read on here once that everyone always feels like they've got one more stone to lose, or just want to lose a stone... maybe that's the body's way of an evolutionary insurance policy in case of famine, so the last stone is always the hardest to lose!!

ChaChaChooey · 18/08/2025 15:20

Resurrecting this to find out how my MJ friends are doing re: price announcements?

I made it to goal last Xmas and switched from
ZAVA to Oushk in February for maintenance. Titrated down to 5mg and was pretty stable (also rejoined the gym in Jan and have been consistent with attendance) so attempted to go down to 2.5 and didn’t feel good so went back to 5mg and planned to stay on that for the foreseeable (maybe eventually experiment with a slower titration down using a 5mg pen and binning the excess left after the 30 day expiry).

Hoping I’m just about going to be able to stretch my family budget to 5mg at the new prices (booked a stall for the end of September to sell some my now-too-big extensive vintage clothing collection) because MJ really has improved my quality of life no end - not only do I look much better but my joints no longer hurt and my fitness/mobility/flexibility is many times better.

Weirdly, MJ may have also positively impacted a long standing issue for me - I’ve always been one of those people who gets bitten by every single bitey insect imaginable (even though I coat myself with repellent from March to October!) and also has massive, welt-like reactions to the bites.

This last year I’ve had just two noticeable bites, neither of which swelled or welted -
presumably due to how MJ impacts on inflammation?

Also, I’ve completely ditched wine (it makes me feel like shit now!) and over the last months have just had the occasional white spirit based drink (Gin & Appletise or a White Rum Mojito).

Hope you are all doing well and not too worried about the upcoming price changes (IIRC we’ve mostly stayed on lower doses which makes the price hike slightly less concerning than it is for those who are on 12.5/15mg, who I feel hugely sympathetic towards right now, what a shit show to have the rug pulled out from under you so rapidly)

HundredMilesAnHour · 24/08/2025 12:19

I’ve stayed at 10mg for ages and ages, partly due to the increased cost of going up a dose and partly because the side effects make me feel rubbish and I can’t face more.

My BMI is just under 25 now so I guess I’m doing ‘maintenance’ (with Voy who I’ve been with since the start) although ideally I’d like to lose another 8kg but I’m putting zero effort in so my weight has been hovering around 75kg for months.

I have a new pen on the way (at the current/old prices) and it may be that next time when I have to pay more will be what triggers me into stopping MJ. I’ve been teetering on stopping for months anyway so this might be the push I need. I don’t intend to titrate down anyway (as there’s no evidence that this makes a difference).

ToriiMj · 05/02/2026 15:12

Hello mid July buddies!
I’ve restarted today after putting on almost a stone over the last 8 months… mostly over Xmas and birthday celebrations in Dec/jan.

i hope you are all having a bit more success than me!!
