Thought it might be a nice idea for a thread to log our daily food plus current dose to help each other and newbies with ideas

I'm not being a competitive undereater here, as I'm sure you're all losing weight more quickly than I am, but are you eating really small portions? If I had a meal that would be the only thing I could eat all day and I wouldn't want to eat most of it. I'm on 7.5 and have been for a few months - full suppression. It's not what I'm normally like, just since I've been on Mounjaro.

Theredjellybean · 06/12/2024 21:50

@MounjaroUser ...I've followed this thread for ages and thought the same thing.... firstly before MJ I'd have eaten less than what some people reported and I would definitely be gaining weight on their descriptions.
Secondly on mj now on week 9 I've not got past 3.75 mg and basically I could happily just not eat.....I feel soooo full on a quarter size serving of a main meal, and anything involving cheese or cream for example leaves me feeling dreadfully sick.

MounjaroUser · 06/12/2024 22:16

Same here! I can tell by the things people are eating here that they're enjoying their food - it's just not like that for me.

I'm the same about certain foods, too - as soon as I think about having it my stomach tightens and I think 'god, I couldn't eat that!'

It's interesting, though. I read something the other day saying it didn't make a difference (to weight loss) which dose you were on, and I think that's true of me. I've kept track and I'm losing the same now as I was on 2.5. I'm going to titrate down, I think.

Orangesandlemons77 · 06/12/2024 22:25

I've recently started 10mg and struggling to eat much. Today have managed a protein shake, and some greek yoghurt with a banana in total.

Whattodowithaminute · 08/12/2024 20:21

@MounjaroUser it is all quite personal though isn’t it, age, height, current weight, activity level, macros of what is being eaten, metabolism etc…

I’m broadly trying not to deviate too far from preMJ family meals which were pretty balanced and have introduced breakfast (4 days min) and adjusted my lunches from white bread and cheese to protein and salads, removed snacking. Aiming overall for 1400-1800 a day with a slight uplift in exercise-toning not calorie burning. TDEE is just over 2000 for me so on a calorie deficit with this plan and losing. It feels sustainable for me and the removal of snacks and food noise has made it relatively easy so far.

Saying all of that I went up to 5mg on Thursday and have struggled to eat much at all since then, feel nauseous all the time and just the thought of food is enough to turn my stomach over again.

B coffee only
L flatbread and babaganoush, salad,
D steak, sarlardaise potatoes, green veg

ItsMedicine · 08/12/2024 22:37

@Whattodowithaminute agree its a bit pointless in a way as there are so many variables with people! But I sometimes like to write down what I eat and also a bit nosy about others. Sometimes I get ideas. The other day I saw fish chowder Mmmm..!

I’m only starting week 2. Some appetite suppression, some ‘normal’ hunger.

B. Slice of homemade banana cake with butter

D. Bubble and squeak, glass of wine

S. A yoghurt, an orange

tea and coffee with milk and sugar

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 08/12/2024 22:46

@MounjaroUser I usually need to leave 6 or 7 hours between meals (I had breakfast about 9.30 today and then couldn’t eat dinner till 6) and could happily not eat a second one but I do feel a bit lightheaded if I don’t! I do make myself eat as I could easily exist on 400 or so calories a day which is not good particularly as I’m in the gym 6 days a week!!

I tend to eat fast800 meals as they are tasty, low carb and just seem to suit me. I am on 7.5 now and tbh am struggling a bit as I’m not hungry and still feel stuffed for hours after eating. I had a happy 4 weeks on 6.6mg so may go back down if this doesn’t settle soon.

Yesterday - Week 25, 7.5mg, dose 1, day 3
(first ever extreme day trip!)
L: tapas and cava!!
2 litres of water, green tea

Today:
B: scrambled egg, feta, asparagus, smoked salmon
D: roast chicken, cauli cheese, sprout puree
Green tea, gut feel, 3 litres of water, CBD drink, 2 glasses of white wine

GlitterNotBitter · 09/12/2024 00:49

Just stumbled across this thread and it’s really interesting! Been on MJ since August for T2 diabetes. Weight loss frustratingly slow- I’ve lost 17.5lbs but a lot of inches- gone from an uncomfortable size 22 verging on 24, to a comfortable size 18.
Just gone back to the gym and PT told me off as said I’m not eating enough calories. Redid my TDEE and seems my previous was a bit low, so adjusted my MyFitnessPal. Hopefully will start to lose now.

Sunday’s food:
B: Ghost Protein Hot Cocoa with milk, Mullerrice Protein Vanilla
L: Scrambled eggs on toast with a bit of Flora light
D: MyProtein sweet chilli chicken with noodles, mixed veg. 3 white chocolate digestives
Snack: Fruit and nut Skinny bar
Drinks: water, cherry Tango, decaf coffee with milk

Still massively under my calories…

lookathatbookcase · 09/12/2024 01:54

B: greek yog
L: cheese scone
D: crab cakes, brussel sprouts; mini donut

S: trail mix

water, coffee, electrolytes, apple and ginger juice, tea

GlitterNotBitter · 09/12/2024 14:17

B: Bacon medallions on protein bagels spread with Flora Light, fruit and nut skinny bar, clear whey
L: Salt and pepper chicken and rice, mixed veg, protein Mullerrice
D: Southern fried chicken strips, coconut rice, salad
Snacks: Protein hot chocolate, small bag wheat crunchies, 3 x white chocolate digestives
Drinks: coconut sports water, cherry tango and water

Thanks

Midlifecrisisxamillion · 09/12/2024 17:45

B - allbran
L - chicken breast, cauliflower, sprouts, carrots, celery and gravy.
D - tomato soup and a kiwi

Snacks 3 x quality street and some jelly beans (looking forward to these being finished so I can vary snacks a bit more - I gave away some of the quality streets today).

TryingWegovy · 09/12/2024 18:08

Struggling to eat at the moment (stress). Managed half a Huel and an apple so far today.

Iwouldratherbesinging · 09/12/2024 18:11

B - nothing, fast day today
L - as above
D - left over cauliflower cheese and a mixed salad

@MounjaroUser @Theredjellybean I’m definitely not eating a dinner plate full of food, I’m dishing mine up in either a small bowl or a smaller plate and don’t always finish what I’ve plated up.

lespameo · 09/12/2024 20:19

Had awful tummy pain all day. Managed some Turkey chilli and rice but felt sick since eating it. Struggling to even drink water: not sure what's up with me 😞

lookathatbookcase · 09/12/2024 22:25

B: 1/2 fried egg sandwich with avocado
L: lamb dumplings
D: crudites + olives, artichoke dip, chicken broth

coffee, water, electrolytes, ginger tea

ItsMedicine · 09/12/2024 23:39

WEEK 2

B. 2 poached egg on one toast

D. Very large bubble and squeak!
Also, berry mix and kefir yoghurt

2 x dark chocolate squares plus very small
handful of nuts

1 x glass of wine

S. 1/2 slice marmite on toasted.

I noticed I was very hungry today and really enjoyed my meals. But I thought I ate quite a lot; above not dissimilar to a normal food day for me pre-Wegovy.

I notice I’m snacking less in between though.

Also, pretty fatigued all day.
