Thought it might be a nice idea for a thread to log our daily food plus current dose to help each other and newbies with ideas

I’m really struggling with food right now. I took a dose on Saturday 6am.

At 12pm, I tried to eat half a packet of ramen, couldn’t finish that.

At 2pm I was out with friends. Had an old fashioned cocktail which made me nauseous. Switched to a small soft drink instead which was fine but took me hours to finish.

At about 7pm, went Nando’s. I had the most bland/basic meal possible of 2 pieces of halloumi & side sized mash with gravy. Managed to eat like 1/2 a piece of halloumi, a few spoons of mash and was utterly full. Had some water but couldn’t manage more than some sips, glass was practically full by 9pm.

Just wanted to gauge if this is normal for you guys? As otherwise I’m struggling to get the right nutrients in.

I'm similar atm, especially after taking the dose. What dose are you on? Maybe it is a bit high.

MounjaroUser · 02/12/2024 11:50

It's typical for me.

This is why it's recommended you eat protein first, before anything else, and take a vitamin supplement.

lookathatbookcase · 02/12/2024 12:02

@eeeeeeeee I'm similar on the day after injection in terms of how much I can eat, but find it much easier to take in protein / low-carb veg / liquids. Fats/carbs/booze completely do me in. Also I find it easier to eat tasty food rather than anything bland bc that makes me want to eat.

So my equivalent on your Saturday might be - late breakfast of a protein yoghurt; 0% ABV cocktail with friends; 1/4 chicken + coleslaw at Nandos. Pack in an electrolyte tablet and some clear whey if I can. I kind of make myself drink water as that's the baseline important one.

Slimwannabe · 02/12/2024 13:18

B: Two hard boiled eggs
L: Mixed salad with olive oil/balsamic dressing, mozzarella, edamame, and seeds
D: Will make vegetable and black bean enchiladas
S: 160g black grapes for fruit content (however still not hungry after my eggs...)

This is my first day and am on 2.5mg, trying to eat regularly and lots of veg, with protein added where possible.

haribosarebest · 02/12/2024 15:33

Took first 2.5mg dose yesterday late afternoon.
B hard boiled egg and crumpet thin with marmite

L really not hungry but had protein mousse and a babybel

D making mince and dumplings for DH and DF, will have small portion

Lots of water

I'm just absolutely amazed at how I have little interest in food. As someone who could easily eat when not hungry before this, I'm astonished

ItsMedicine · 02/12/2024 16:20

Nine million cups of tea

@TheShellBeach that’s me too!

Only been on it a few days since I started, but

breakfast - 1 slice peanut butter and toast
planned dinner - baked potato, cheese & beans
glass of wine
