Thought id start a thread for anyone starting in July given we are almost there. I've just ordered tonight with Voy, hoping I get approved and will be able to start next week.

I'm a little apprehensive as some of my eating habits are emotionally driven not hunger! So I'm going to need to find some will power too. That's why I've gone with a company that provides support as well as just medication.

Anyone fancy joining along?

My starting weight is 18st 1lb and I'm 5ft 5 so I've ALOT to loose.

This 5lb was a week post 1st injection. Ironically, 6 days post injection I was 5.5lb down! I can't help it, I weigh myself everyday.

@Lumirubin do you feel tired? I feel absolutely exhausted on day 1.

@diian I'm like that for weighing too. I'm really trying to knock that habit on the head though, because if I'm sitting static or I've gained a pound I end up thinking fuck it and falling off the wagon. 5lbs in a week is fab!

@DoctorMartin no I've been alright. Although I have a toddler, a full time job and I'm doing a very intense masters at the moment, so I'm in a permanent state of tired anyway!

Mine has been approved and should arrive tmw…am now wondering what I’ve done; balance out by the photo horror too as PP said!

weirdly have been v controlled food wise since deciding to do this…1000-1200 cals per day last 3 days. Maybe if I just have it in the fridge it will exert some kind of effect 🤷‍♀️

I’m in. Just done my first injection (so technically June - apologies!)

Previously on Ozempic for a couple of months. Made me very depressed and didn’t really lose weight so have been re-approved for Mounjaro.

Want to get down to my dress size of a 12 rather than a 16. I'm short and apple shaped. Menopause has not been kind either. Just can't shift any weight now.

@BamberGirl I've been the same! Just from the point I decided to order it I've been better behaved, I think because I need to justify the price of it by making sure I'm spot on haha.

@Chumpfriend I'm a June start too, but there was already a big June thread and I wanted to start with people who where just started so I made a July thread a little early!

I did a mid week weigh this morning (I need to get out of the habit of weighing more than weekly), but it was positive. I first injected Monday evening, was fairly good with food from the Saturday, I've lost 6lbs! I can't actually believe it

I’m really interested in how your eating habits change on the jab. I understand the importance of eating small/regular and not just not eating, esp for long term maintenance

1. have you changed your eating? Meals?
2. do u just eat proteins and vege? Ie no or reduced carbs?

Snap- I also started at 14st and I’m 5’1. I don’t know how I let myself get here. I’m 46 years old and it’s getting much harder for the weight to drop off now.

I’m on my 3rd week of 2.5ml. From now, I’m also e we pried about how I’ll maintain as I don’t want to be on mounjaro for life. I can’t afford it and nor do I want to be injecting myself forever. I’m thinking of trying to stick to 2.5ml dose for as long as possible until I can’t lose more on it rather than just moving up to 5ml in a month. Although I am worried that if it doesn’t work, it’ll be a waste of money.

Zava have just approved me! Estimated delivery is tomorrow... We've got a busy weekend planned socialising, so I may hold off until Monday for my first injection just in case I end up exhausted or with the runs.

I've just bitten the bullet and ordered for delivery tomorrow. I'm nervous but feeling positive about finally making the decision to take control of my eating.

Anyone else do a lot of exercise? My big concern is having enough energy to keep that up.

I am fat, just not obese according to BMI.

I’ve eaten nothing so far today, not that unusual for me as I rarely eat breakfast. I can’t decide if I’m hungry now.

I've just ordered my first pen via Zava, how long does it usually take from approval to delivery? Also, they say they will contact your doctor, if my doctor were to say no for any reason, I presume I'd be refunded?

Many years ago there used to be weight loss doctors in Harley Street making a killing selling amphetamines to magically lose weight.

Goodness knows what the side effects of these modern drugs are-
After the OxyContin debacle, people should be rightfully wary of drug manufacturers.

@Ilovethewild I'm being generally better in terms of making healthier choices/eating more veg. The biggest change for me is portion and background hunger. I get full SO quickly when eating and I just don't get hungry at all. Ive been busy today so haven't actually eaten (not good I know!) but I just don't feel hungry at all!

Great to see so many July starters already! Well technically June, but who wants to tag on the end of a long thread!

Mine said it would come tomorrow but I've a feeling it will be Sat as my post comes very early and I don't live in England. But we shall see! I will assume Sat and if it's tomorrow, it's a bonus ❤️

Ah jealous of those who have been approved on zava, mine seems to be taking ages. I uploaded the pics and ID verification day before yesterday.

Another one joining! I've spent weeks deliberating and finally applied yesterday. I've just got the email to say I've been approved 🙂

Nervous but excited. If it comes tomorrow I'll take it then if not I'll wait until the following Friday as want the weekend in case of side effects. I have high blood pressure and a fatty liver so really need this to work 🤞🏻
