Thanks @lurkylurk , great to get reassurance.

Ironinglady2024 · 05/04/2024 17:47

@lurkylurk @Investinmyself @Stickthatupyourdojo @JanetSnakeholeMacklin thank you for replies. Hope I am not missing anyone out.
Will calorie count and watch my protein intake.
You are all such a helpful bunch.

FlappyFish · 05/04/2024 17:48

@Wisheverydaywasfriday Completely normal and you’ve had it. It’s why we’ve been saying about the bonus dose.

MammothyGoodness · 05/04/2024 17:52

@Feelingslightlyuneasy thank you! It’s on 2.5 which has really worked well for me. I’m feeling nice and full most of the time and I’m not craving sugar at all (I was living on sugar before starting so this is amazing!)

Thank you @Stickthatupyourdojo and @MoreThanJustANumber . Started to panic! On the plus side after Week 1, I’ve lost 7.2 lbs 😄 So was worried I’d messed up for Week 2 😅

@Wisheverydaywasfriday well done on a great loss!

That’s great to know! 2.5mg clearly does work for some people then…..

Stickthatupyourdojo · 05/04/2024 18:28

Yessss @Wisheverydaywasfriday great loss!

Wonkypictureframe · 05/04/2024 18:45

I’ve put on 2lbs this week. Fourth week of 2.5mg. I remain lacking appetite, off booze and fatty/sweet foods, not noticeably eating much food. My body really does resist weight loss.

ObsidianTree · 05/04/2024 19:24

That's rubbish @Wonkypictureframe
Try not to feel too disheartened. Have you been calorie counting? Have you been eating enough? Are you drinking a lot of water? It might just be a bit of water weight your body is holding on to or time of the month bloat or something like that. Give it a few days and weigh again.

Forgot to update my stats this week! We'd been away for the weekend, so that's my excuse.

SW 16st 13 bmi 39.4
1st weigh in -7lbs bmi 38.2
2nd weigh in -3lb bmi 37.7

I think I hadn't been drinking or eating enough last week, but making sure I hit my targets this week. Still no nasty side effects other than feeling cold (I didn't even know this was one until I read posts on this thread).

Good luck everyone!

Question while I wait for 1st delivery and write my shopping list - are fizzy drinks manageable for people? Or would it make you full/bloated/gassy?

Big fan of a coke zero for the caffeine as I don't like coffee and have young kids!

I also enjoy my Coke zero... and still do!

I'm drinking less of it than I used to. Now I don't crave them and could take it or leave it. But still enjoy them when I have one. Haven't had any bloating etc from them...that I have noticed.

Thanks, @FlappyFish, hadn’t factored that in.

@Stickthatupyourdojo and @Ironinglady2024 , thanks 😄. Fingers crossed for a good Week 2.

So frustrating @Wonkypictureframe hang in there, hopefully bodes well for a good loss this week.

@ObsidianTree Great round up for the new starters. How's your experience feeling? I think you're a week ahead of me? Ending your sixth week?

I'm coming to the end of week five. I weigh in tomorrow and do my second injection at 5 tonight. Hoping that just before bed will mean less nausea and burping.

I have walked more miles in the last 7 days than I have in decades. I'm proud of that. I don't want to be sitting on my arse thinking about food. I'm also making more food which is good. Family don't love my bean chilli so I'm eating that for days when I make it ;)

Went to London for the day and headed straight for Sweaty Betty to get myself some new leggings and maybe a zip up top. They don't stock xxs or xxl in any of their shops. Why??? That's really shit. And not inclusive.

Had lunch out at a place that's special for our teens. They loved it. Ordered dessert and had 3 spoonfuls and was done. Just didn't want it.

Looking forward to getting back to routines tomorrow. Still haven't quite resolved thrush in my arse crack from the exercising. Hope that goes soon. Am thinking of the cream runners use? If anyone has any ideas there I'd welcome them!

Off to read rest of thread and see what everyone is up to.

I don’t calorie count but there’s no way I’ve eaten more than 1200 calories any day in general. Mostly eating fish or small meat portions with veg, and 2 litres of water a day. No hormonal fluctuations for me. I hope it’s just a blip though, and I’ve been quite bunged up until today!

ShutYerNoise · 05/04/2024 20:12

I have just injected my first dose of 2.5mg! Finding myself just sitting, waiting for something to happen 😆
One thing I was surprised about though…ordered through Asda and it was delivered today but the expiry date on the box is 05 2024. I would’ve thought a sealed box might’ve had a longer shelf life than that. Has anybody else got ones with short dates?

Choux · 05/04/2024 20:18

I got my 2.5mg 5 weeks ago and it had an expiry of 05 2024. I presumed it was the end of May though?

lurkylurk · 05/04/2024 20:25

I think mine was end of May too, or end of June, it doesn't keep so tends to have shortish dates.

lurkylurk · 05/04/2024 20:25

That's part of what makes it expensive!

I'm drinking diet coke and still losing beautifully.

I feel like it's helping actually, as it feels like I'm having a treat (fizzy) without having to worry about calories 😊

ObsidianTree · 05/04/2024 20:35

@ChristmasLightsLover glad things are going well for you and you're getting exercise in.

I am doing well thanks. Felt great the first few weeks on 5mg but this week feeling like it's not as powerful as it was. But still losing so happy with that and hope it still works until 7.5mg comes out!

Enjoy reading and catching up ☺️

Beware Step 7 - the priming step ( where you release a small amount of liquid to needle tip.) I could not get this to work, went on to dosing step & pen would not release the dose! It took me 3 goes & I was v anxious. I got there in the end.
Always prime your pen!

Thrush is a fungal infection, so try either Canesten cream or Daktarin, should do the trick in no time.

MelissaLouRocks · 05/04/2024 21:11

OK, this may seem like a daft question. How does everyone resist weighing themselves daily? I'm autistic with ADHD, and it's something I'm struggling with!
