My 5mg has come off pharmacy4u ordered Thursday. Plain brown box bit smaller than a shoe box. Return label just says P2U in tiny letters. Husband just left it on side for me.
I’m on my last dose of 2.5mg today. Had a picky few days and with hindsight should have taken dose sooner. I’ve gone back up a couple of pounds.
Good reminder it’s not magic and I do need to cc and track my food on nutracheck.
I’m cross at myself as it’s expensive and then I’m snacking - eaten Easter choc.

From med express:

That's a bit worrying. Would be good to know what they consider NHS recommend BMI target.

I want to stay on these meds life long. In America people talk about benefit of staying on them long term as they help inflammation and autoimmune illnesses which is what I have. So if there are health benefits long term I want to be able to stay on it!
I think NHS recommend for me to to get to BMI of 23 ish... So hope they go with that for me!

I don’t think enough safeguards have been put in place to stop people with anorexia and bulimia, at low BMIs, getting hold of this medication. It’s life threatening for these groups - anorexia has the highest death rate of all mental health illnesses.

I do wonder if the government will need to put steps in place to protect people ie. require us to pick up medication, show photo ID, and weigh ins to show progress. It’s too easy to fake pictures and weights. Or pay someone to stand in.

This would make Boots, Superdrug and Asda the most bankable suppliers as they have high street stores.

I actually think these steps need to be put in place to protect people. Time will tell.

Hi, new here. Ordered Mj from asda on Monday. They wanted pictures, I sent yesterday but still waiting. Forever refreshing page hoping it changes from pending to dispatched.
Is asda quick at delivery? Wished I went to medexpress after finding about them from reading here.
I can’t wait to get started, especially after reading some of your loses here.

I found Asda very slow, and there were issues with my photos sending whereby they hadn’t received them but didn’t contact me to say they hadn’t been sent correctly! Once I emailed to enquire, it was resolved. Worth contacting again. Your message with the photos should show up in the messages section. If it doesn’t, they haven’t been sent.

Got my 5mg order from MedExpress today, noticed the needles are 5mm not 4mm. May not seem a big deal but I am a total needle phobe so this has panicked me a bit. Can’t inject myself, husband has to do it whilst I hold myself together. Can I buy more 4mm somewhere?

Thank you for this. Will go and check and contact. Ordering 1st, and pictures sent 2nd in the morning I was really hoping I would have by 4th. Maybe a bit optimistic. Just want to start.

I was the same as you - when they didn't reply quick enough (but still within 24 hours) I sent the photos again, just incase. They dispatched later that day.

These ones are 4mm, and arrived very quickly.

You can buy the 4mm needles from online chemist or Amazon even. I just ordered 100 off Amazon by just searching for the info on my needle label.
Can't link now but I did post it earlier in this thread.
My MedExpress order came today too but I didn't check the needles.

That's interesting @ObsidianTree as I also have these conditions, alongside some others. No matter how strict a diet I am on, with all natural healthy food and no UPF's, it's literally become impossible for me to lose weight.

I'm just hoping by the time we get to maintenance, they'll all have more experience with it, or even accept a doctor's recommendation we're allowed to continue.

This is the video I was watching. I want to do more research on it, but also hope soon enough the UK will recognise these meds as good for more than just weight loss and diabetes.

I also really struggle to lose weight naturally, so this has been a game changer for me.

That's really interesting, it was having read about helping inflammation that was a major factor in deciding to give it a go.

Being disabled on a limited income, I can't really afford it. But then if it makes a significant difference to my life, can I really afford not to be on it.

I'm just hoping it does the trick all round really. How's it helped your issues so far?

Does anyone not store their pen in the fridge?

My 1st pen arrived today (have taken the 1st dose) and after the instructions it said can be stored at room temperature once use.

I don’t really want my husband knowing at the moment so have put it in my knicker drawer 😂

I've hidden mine in my bathroom cabinet at room temp. It's okay at room temp once opened.

Great thank you.
I did however order some alcohol wipes ok his Amazon Prime so will bluff my way out of that somehow.

I’ll tell him once this pen has run out and he sees how much weight I’ve lost lol

ObsidianTree · 03/04/2024 13:03

@MelissaLouRocks I've not noticed much effect yet apart from being able to lose weight! I suppose also less noticable things like more energy. I think going up the doses might have more effect or being on it for longer. I have an underactive thyroid (hashimoto), but reading that tictok people were saying it helped their MS, arthritis, lupus and other autoimmune conditions. So really feel like this is an all-round miracle drug and worth investing in.

Once I've been on about 6 months I will go for blood tests with my Dr to see if it's effecting my thyroid levels.

Just seen this on Reddit, disappointed that there's still no guarantee of next doses

@ObsidianTree couldn't agree with you more. I'm really disappointed that we seem to being held on 5mg with absolutely no updates

Snap with the thyroid! I had a raft of tests for all sorts in Jan, all came back abnormal in one way or another, so fingers crossed for us both!

Pharmacy2U seem to be saying they'll have both 7.5 and 10 from 15 April?

ticktock19 · 03/04/2024 13:34

That would be brilliant if they do, I'm just a bit sceptical as it's been March, then start of April, then 8th April and now 15th. Fingers crossed that that's confirmed
