I can't find the post from the person recommending nutracheck, but I'm thinking of signing up for the year. I have the 7 day free trail at the moment. Is it work waiting to see if they further reduce the price for the year? Or is £27.99 the best price I will get?

I did look for coupon codes but none of the ones I tried worked

£27 is the best price I've seen

Week 1, day 6. Really struggling today - I'm hungry, I'm stressed (difficult work day), and I just want to stuff my face. I am resisting! And it's easier to resist than it was before, but still. I guess dose 1 is wearing off, today is the first time I've been really hungry. Aiming for healthy snacks between meals if I can't last, rather than leaving it too long, and getting to the point of being so hungry that I will just go for the quickest/easiest/least healthy option.

On the plus side, I did an unofficial weigh this morning (trying to weigh weekly on the whole) and I'm 2 lbs down. It's not the 5+ lbs that some people have reporting in their first week, but it's in the right direction.

I just need to get through today and tomorrow, dose 2 is Thurs am.

NCfor24 · 02/04/2024 13:16

MedExpress have dispatched my 5mg order.
They've also just emailed me a 20% off "your next prescription order" discount code for my birthday but it's only valid for a week and I'm not allowed to order any more Mounjaro til mid April!! That's a bit frustrating but knowing they do this may help someone else time their orders to take advantage.

ObsidianTree · 02/04/2024 13:26

Thanks @kdmott I'll sign up now then!

@NCfor24 lol thats typical! Maybe message them and say you can't order by your bday etc so can they give you a new code the next time you can order!

Just a note that if anyone needs pen needles I have a LOT and am happy to post any if you DM me.

Also, my local pharmacy sells them for £9.99 p/100

Hi everyone, been lurking for a while. Thanks for this thread, it's been so helpful.

Been floating between obese and overweight on the BMI scale for most of my 30s (I'm 37) ever since I started a desk job which involves sitting all day, too many overpriced coffees and office snacks. Needed to do something about it finally. I tried Orlistat last year which helped me shift best part of a stone but stopped it after last summer and it's all crept back on. So here I am.

I'm on Week 2 of 2.5mg and I've lost 7 lbs so far. I'm delighted. Feeling lighter, less moody, more energy. A few days with cramps after the injection that come and go but nothing unbearable. My appetite is suppressed to the point I have to remind myself to eat, and I'm having protein shakes and healthy meals. I've swapped out potato for quinoa, white rice for brown, and have totally avoided chocolate. My downfall is the booze! I absolutely love a G&T or two in the evenings, or a big glass of wine. So this needs to be my next thing to reduce (stopping is unrealistic if I'm being totally honest right now but it's my aspiration).

SW 13st 2
CW 12st 8
GW 11st 5

Just wondering if anyone knows what the future reordering process is with Med Express... What happens when I move into the Overweight BMI category rather than Obese - will they not prescribe anymore or will they keep doing so? My GW would take me to the middle of the Overweight category.

Well done to everyone shifting the pounds

I actually just contacted them to ask. I said would they continue until I was a healthy weight, so I’ll let you know what they say.

Ahh that would be great thank you. Can't find anything online that says either way.

Hi @user1471503652 I ordered my 2.5 from bolt with a BMI of 30 something. The six pounds I've lost mean I'm 29.9 so under the 30. I bought my 5mg pen this morning from MedExpress and they've just emailed to confirm prescription has been authorised.

Also for anyone also moving over from elsewhere, I did as others suggested and sent a couple of photos via the contact form with my purchase ID to show im already on the 2.5 dose. I purchased and sent the photos this morning and they've emailed just a minute ago to say thanks for the photos to prove I'm already on MJ and to say they've approved the request. Thanks!

I think one way the drug works is to slow passage of food through system. People are prioritising protein too, there’s just less waste in your system to get rid of.
I’m taking aloe vero most days and not having issues with 💩
My 5mg pharmacy 4 u has dispatched. I’m now an overweight bmi 29 so will stay with them to avoid any issues.

I just bought Aloe Vera tablets and they're a saviour 👍🏻

Lunab18 · 02/04/2024 15:10

I’ve just ordered my 5mg from MedExpress, my previous 2.5 was from Pharmacy2U. Will Med Express ask for proof of my previous order? I’ve uploaded my ID and photo but there was no ask about my previous order.

FlappyFish · 02/04/2024 15:13

Hello all! Checking in. I’ve bought the aloe tablets. I’m going to be taking so many supplements I may rattle.

As the regulars to this thread know I weigh daily. Injection 8 is due Friday. This morning I am 12.5. I started at 14.1.

I have had to give in and buy some new clothes. I was beginning to look like a teenager again. Jeans falling down and hoodies so baggy I could have been a Billie Eilish tribute.

I am now a comfortable size 14. I had to buy new bras too. I was getting to the point where there was no support left. It was a very cheap Primark haul. I got a couple of new bras and some cuffed joggers. I had to buy them in a medium. A 12-14. It is the strangest feeling taking clothes into a changing room and thinking ha it will never fit and then everything does up. Not even snug. Fits.

That should keep me going for a few months. I work from home and have nothing to dress up for.

Hi to all the newbies and the fellow ongoing posters. Thank you all for being here and sharing this with me.

I've just done the same and when I clicked 5mg it popped up saying they may ask for proof/clarification. So to get ahead I used the email contact form and sent in a picture of my previous box. They then responded and asked for the date I sarted 2.5 my start weight when I was due my next dose and also if I had any side effects beyond the ones started in the warnings. Within a hour of that message my order in the website turned to awaiting dispatch and this morning it has been dispatched.

They will ask you for proof of your current dose, so you can get ahead by sending a pic of your current mounjaro box with your name and dose. This should speed up the process. Go to the contact page on website and send them an email with your order number etc.

That's amazing progress @FlappyFish! And needing new clothes already is amazing! Well done ☺️

I have plenty of clothes I've held on to from when I was on Keto a few years ago and lost a lot of weight. So I have clothes to work on slimming into!

I hope the Aloe vera helps :)

OP posts:
FlappyFish · 02/04/2024 15:28

@ObsidianTree I hope the aloe does too. I’m happy to hoover up recommendations.

I didn’t have any clothes to fit back into as I was last a 14 in about 2006. I’ve also been a lot bigger than this. I will post some before and after and scribble over my head. I’m 6 stone down from my heaviest.

I hope you can do some shopping as well as fitting back in items. I haven’t been in a changing room for ages. I wasn’t going to commit to buying items without it though. I had to take multiple bra sizes in. I’ve never been able to buy cheap bras from Primark. 😂😂

Lunab18 · 02/04/2024 15:35

Thanks so much, just emailed with picture of my 2.5mg box.

MelissaLouRocks · 02/04/2024 15:36

Took my first dose last night, and can already feel it. Luckily no side effects, but just snacked on about 10 fresh almonds, and I feel as though I've had a 15 course dinner!!

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 02/04/2024 15:43

Congrats @FlappyFish that's great news!

I'm worried about the clothing situation too. I've had a look in my wardrobe for some size 18 work trousers today and there are none! All I can think is that I must have been a 16 before I went on maternity leave and then when I returned I was an 18/20 so never bought any size 18.

I have to look reasonably professional for meetings with the public so I'll probably have to pull out some dresses to wear as there is no way I'm forking out for more trousers when I already have loads that I still don't fit into 😄.

KeepingUndercover · 02/04/2024 15:55

Buying new clothes is the best @FlappyFish. I fondly remember when I was briefly a size 12 and stuff just seemed to fit. It made shopping so much more pleasant. Well done on your progress.

Fofftwenty21 · 02/04/2024 16:10

Well done @FlappyFish that's great news.

Just got an email that my first order has been dispatched. I'm off on holiday next Tuesday for a week so thinking I might start on my return in case I have a reaction 😅

If anyone wants 50% from Voy making it £114.50 I have a few codes for use https://joinvoy.com/r/U-BufxphQdMp

CiderJabs · 02/04/2024 16:10

@FlappyFish I relate on the rattling! These days it takes me 10 mins to get ready for bed with all the crap I'm taking! Having said that I think the aloe Vera is working so I will carry on.

It's so nice to buy smaller clothes! You're doing incredibly well and deserved the treat!

Took my 5th jab today. Have lost 11lbs in 4 weeks. Away on holiday for the whole of the Easter holidays and hoping I don't undo all the good work. I have a 5mg pen waiting for me when I return and hope that will help.

spamm · 02/04/2024 16:35

@FlappyFish - that is such a great feeling. Well done. Keep up all the good work.

I am on my vacation in France, skiing, and it is not easy to find the type of food that I am comfortable with and have been eating for the last few months. I am trying my best - and getting tons of exercise every day - so I hope that when I get home I am unchanged. I have also had a glass of wine or some alcohol every day, but generally I cannot finish it. Still resorting to lots of water and tea. I think this is a great test of how to manage this new lifestyle under "real life" circumstances, but I am also nervous about whether I will have put on any weight.

On the plus side, skiing at nearly 20 lbs lighter is much easier. Started today at about 10 am and came back to the flat around 4.00pm. We only stopped twice - for lunch and for a drink at the end of the day. And I just kept going and going. I think DH was both impressed and a bit annoyed that I had so much energy.

Investinmyself · 02/04/2024 16:39

Well done @FlappyFish it’s a great feeling buying new clothes.
When I previously lost weight I found dresses more forgiving than work trousers as you lose.

oaode · 02/04/2024 16:57

2 April 2024 Checkin
1st week 5mg injection
CW 177.3kg
Lost 4.5 kg (9.5lb ) on 4wk of 2.5mg
Note to self. The 5th dose I squeezed out of the 2.5mg pen was a bit of a waste of time.. Silly me thinking I new better than the pharmacist who defined the dosage. All it did was make me put on a couple of kilos! .Next time even if I do eak out a 5 dose I will consider it a half dose and ratchet up to the next earlier in the week.
