Oh one side effect for me that isn't getting easier is the constipation! Sorry for the TMI... But have been trying for days to poop! Just managed to go a bit but pretty sure I'm still pretty backed up! After Disney I will go get some strong laxatives. The psylum husks and magnesium citrate are helping a bit but not helping with a full clearout which is needed! Maybe that's why I'm not losing much weight 😂

Those of you that have been on it for awhile, do you swap where you inject e.g one week tummy one week thigh? Do you notice any difference with the injection sites?

Exitstrategist · 15/03/2024 06:31

0.7kg weight loss this week. Not that happy. However, that’s 2.7kg off with two injections and my partner has noticed. Aiming for 1kg per week so will have to reduce wine consumption drastically.

Keepthepeace82 · 15/03/2024 06:34

Took my first dose yesterday and no change to appetite, no nasty side effects either, so that's a positive. Did most people notice a difference to their appetite immediately or does it take a few days?

Lunab18 · 15/03/2024 06:36

Just finished my first week and I’ve lost 7lb. Minimums side affects, dry mouth and a little constipation. Loving that my sugar cravings have completely disappeared, not had any chocolate, sweets or cakes for 7 days which is a miracle.

Holly2285 · 15/03/2024 07:19

Week 2 weigh in. I gained 1lb!! But have lost 2 inches from my hips and I think my chins look smaller 😂

NextPrimeMinister · 15/03/2024 07:34

Week 3 weigh in, just 1lb but that's 10lb overall.

Old me would be delighted with that but I'm weirdly disappointed. Losing 9lb in the first week squewd my expectations I'm afraid!

Anyway 4th injection this morning, then I'll be pleased to move up a level.

sassygirlx · 15/03/2024 08:49

So...last year I was on Ozempic and lost two stone. One stone has gone back on....
The shortages happened and I couldn't get hold of it other than at a hefty price.

I tried Wegovy but weirdly no appetite suppression, and no weight has been lost...

So I've just been approved for Mounjaro

Fingers crossed!

Hi everyone! Yay to a second thread 🥳

I’m still going strong, on my second week of 5mg and I’ve really noticed a difference since moving up a dose. There’s almost no desire to eat and eating just doesn’t do it for me anymore. Even my fiancé (I’m keeping MJ a secret) said to me “why aren’t you eating chocolate at night anymore?” 🫣

I’ve lost a stone now too which I’m really happy with. My only issue is the constipation so I’ve started taking Magnesium Citrate hoping it will help.

naturesponge · 15/03/2024 09:19

day three over here and i feel like i definitely still have an appetite, and want to eat delicious things... partner made brownies last night and i just HAD to have one. not optimistic if it keeps going this way but i am making a conscious effort to log everything in myfitnesspal, at least.

tmi but i'm also constipated despite coffee/spicy food/magnesium/psyllium husk. any other tips?!?!

cloudchaos · 15/03/2024 10:04

Going into my third week at 2.5mg now. I've lost around 2lb this week, so less than last week, but I'm all backed up and uncomfortable so I don't think that's helping the scales.

Last week was awful as I ended up with 24 hours of diarrhoea 2 days after my dose and then haven't been to the toilet since - no amount of laxatives seems to be shifting things! Almost hoping for a repeat episode of last week to clear me out!

I have a question regarding reordering from Pharmacy2u. When it comes time to reordering do I have to fill out the assessment form again?

That’s a fantastic result well done. I’m day 3 of eating zero junk which is a miracle for me.

Mortigua · 15/03/2024 10:52

Wow I’d be so happy with 7lb in a week well done ! Hoping for a more significant loss this week with wine out of the equation and going to be very vigilant with my calorie tracking and drink more water to fill me up . I feel like it’s had slightly less effect this week so far but definitely helps with mind set.

id like to know the same about pharmacy 2 u as need to reorder soon . I’m not sure if anyone has re ordered through them yet?

KeepingUndercover · 15/03/2024 10:57

Posted this on the first thread as it wasn't quite full up yet and I wasn't sure where to go.

Day 5 here and it’s definitely having an effect but I’d say a small one so far. My appetite is reduced and my snacking has basically stopped. Yesterday was weird where I felt hungry a lot but then when I ate I wasn’t really. I think the problem might have been that I was anticipating not feeling hungry so I had a late breakfast that was quite light and then didn’t have lunch. And then my body was just a bit confused by itself. So today I’ve had breakfast at a normal time, fruit & yogurt with a few nuts, and I’ll plan to eat my meals as normal and see if that helps.

Long term I think aiming to eat 3 balanced meals a day is probably better for me as I really want to make healthy eating a habit so I’m increasing the chances of me being able to keep the weight off.

April88 · 15/03/2024 11:12

I’ve re-ordered through pharmacy 2 u and filled in the form again. It got approved and I’ve got my 5mg pen already (have 1 dose left of 2.5)

rainbowsandinfinitesparkles · 15/03/2024 11:28

3rd full day today.

I'm getting some side effects but nothing that's unbearable. I can't believe how much I thought about food before, I havent even wanted the leftover cake from my son's birthday party which is most unlike me.

Currently managing three smalls meals a day as have young children and want to support their healthy relationship with food

Soukmyfalafel · 15/03/2024 11:55

Day 2 for me. Woke up with stinking headache and nausea. Feel fine now. I ate later than usual 10:30 and wasn't massively hungry, but feel more hungry now I've eaten. I don't feel as bad as yesterday where the food felt 'stuck' in my oesophagus. Am thinking about food more now though.

Was similar last night where I wasn't keen on eating but when I did I felt more hungry. I don't think 2.5mg will have much affect on me, but we will see. Bot disappointed in that as was hoping to lose a decent amount this month, but am aware dose is still low. Sort of relieved that I won't literally be starving though, as that isn't healthy either.

Ah that’s great so we can order ahead and have it ready for going up .

Investinmyself · 15/03/2024 12:12

That’s good to know reordering was smooth on pharmacy4u.
Day 3 and I feel really well. Slightly more appetite but not hungry.
I’ve been doing 3 small meals a day and really trying to focus on eating protein and veg. Still drinking lots of water but mouth isn’t as dry.
Had a weigh and I’m 3lb down and in next stone bracket which is a massive psychological boost.

montysma1 · 15/03/2024 12:43

Are you all taking magnesium citrate tablets or powder?

NextPrimeMinister · 15/03/2024 12:51

I'm taking senna tablets, and seem to go every other day.

Investinmyself · 15/03/2024 12:55

I’m taking 200mg magnesium capsules off Amazon.

Soukmyfalafel · 15/03/2024 13:07

So far I'm having the opposite effect! I don't know if that makes me feel lucky or not 😀

ItsFunToBeAVampire · 15/03/2024 13:26

Exitstrategist · 14/03/2024 19:43

Btw has anyone used the same needle to inject rest of vial? I’m planning to do a double dose next week ie go up to 5 a week early

It won't let you do a 5th jab after the last dose is done, as it won't turn more than a couple of clicks.
