Not quite January yet, but the weather warnings continue. Generally a mild outlook to come, though of course parts of Scotland will see more wintry weather on and off.

Did have over 40mm rain yesterday. Some areas of Scotland had over 80mm.

There are lots of news stories about an artic blast? Is it nonsense?

I'm in 2 minds - rain with two energetic small boys is challenging but not spending all my money on heating is great.

Arctic blast is utter nonsense! Its infuriating how some papers and shock jock type forecasters like to wind everyone up and make up rubbish.
Wintery in parts of Scotland, but away from there, generally mild and unsettled conditions.

lurcher no actual forecasts, its too early, but currently, the north west is probably going to see the worst of the rain and winds over the next few weeks. Check you have good mudproof walking boots

Bbrrr it's colder today, rain gone. Warming up again tomorrow. BUT raining again 😂

I agree Colouring Europes winter heat wave is extremely alarming. It isn't hyperbole to say that this is unprecedented. Our weather and climate are truly broken now.

It's concerning for farming and the food chain

I feel so - hopeless really about the climate. Hottest UK year on record 2022, Europe with those temperatures. Runaway climate change could really be happening before our eyes.

I'm very glad we live in a wet country, water will be the most precious commodity on earth before long.

My DS did Ocean sciences at university, worked offshore for many years. His company were moving away from oil and into water exploration in a much bigger way as are other companies
