Storm forecasts for this week (perhaps some severe storms)

This follows on from another thread but I thought a more explicit title was needed!

Its a complex situation and lots going on this week. There is potential for severe storms perhaps (definition of a severe storm is large hail, frequent cloud-ground lightning, flooding and tornadoes - hopefully not all in the same storm unless its a real good 'un!)

Estofex have issued a level 1 alert for storms for today and tomorrow.

For our storm forecasts today I'm going to hand you over to some experts on UKWW It's a really complex situation and they are way better at it than me (especially as my time is very limited before work). If you've got any questions about what they are saying don't hesitate to ask Smile I'm out this morning but back at lunch time for a bit.

It does look like Kent and perhaps East Sussex will continue with storms - imports from France.

It's pouring here in Kent. Because it's my birthday and I want to have a picnic....

Temps are rising quickly here and the sky is clear. It's just possible that we may grow some of our own in this region.

Rain all around but not on us!

This is a screen shot from my iPad app (from the same people as the radar site that OYBBK posted earlier). The storms went right and left of us (in Wokingham) but hardly a rumble or a drop here!

Well, I'll see you all later. Please do, if you get any damage or large hail either pm me or send a report into the tornado and storm research organisation TORRO pictures are always useful.

Whopping great thunderstorm here at 5.45am, DH barely stirred and the DSs slept trough through it. Lovely, lovely rain now though, will be doing a spot of puddle jumping later.

A few teeny drops here (Horsham) at 4ish but now looking bright and clear. I don't think we'll get the rain to be honest, it's looking very summery again.

We had thunder and lightening for about 1/1/2 hrs from about 3.30 am until about 5 am and then heavy rain whihc is still continuing but eased a bit but no more thunder/lightening... I am so pleased I put about 9500000000 litres of metered water into the paddling pool yesterday .....

Oo Lulubellarama - I'm off to horsham today! Holiday shopping. Not sure if I'm hoping for rain or sun - just some breeze would be nice.

East Kent here, we had a humdinger at 3.30 in the morning with a lot of much needed rain. Ridiculously humid today too.

How can the thunderstorm still leave it so humidConfused.
Weather 's mind-game playing is hotting up. We had a few seconds of SUN so thought right out with little dog now - before I had finished my thought it pelted down again Confused

According to my paper's forecast it will be dry and fresh in the SW and Wales, otherwise the rest of the country wet and humid up to and including ThursdayConfused grrrr. SE

It's so humid here. A little bit of rain would be quite nice.

Storming here still. Has been on and off since 4.30am. Over an inch of rain.

Think little dog can hear the rain outside and has retreated under the table curled up like a cat. Has stopped again but sky all grey.
