You are most welcome to this school staff support thread to get us through stressful times. Baiters and bashers can jog on somewhere else.

If you are not staff and just have a general education query please start your own thread.

You can play here only if you are a member of one the following groups-

-ABBA - anti bashers and baiting association
-SWAB - school workers against bashers
-SWOT - school workers opposing teacherbashers
-STARS - schoolworkers together against ranting + slurs

Other requirements for staff room entry include the ability to find the staff room, the ability to find a clean mug in the staff room, knowledge of the photocopier codes and the ability to sniff out where the toffee vodka is hidden.

Portaloos will be tipped over in 3... 2... oops! If you’re lucky this will happen when nobody is in there.

Piggywaspushed · 10/05/2020 16:28

Can I put in a request for a disco in the tent on Fridays please?

Appu , schools almost certainly will not be mentioned tonight.

What Jenrick said was about treating areas bit by bit in the future if there was an 'outbreak' in certain locations, businesses or schools . He then looked slightly alarmed because children must not ever be mentionedand ground to a halt, presumably while some aide screamed in his ear ' don't mention schools you juvenile fuckwit'!

Cantaloupeisland · 10/05/2020 16:29

Checking in. Wishing I lived in Scotland or Wales right now.

Appuskidu · 10/05/2020 16:30

AppleKatie · 10/05/2020 16:32

Checking in. Is it break time yet? This is the longest Sunday in the history of Sunday’s.

Piggywaspushed · 10/05/2020 16:32

I feel like staying alert might also be like Brodie on the beach in Jaws, constantly scanning the horizon for a shark fin. And then everyone will need to get out of the water but it will be too late for the little boy and the poor dog...

MossWalk · 10/05/2020 16:34

Alert just reminds me of Ross and his kah-rah-teh in Friends.

Grin Grin Grin

Boris is supposed to be on for all of 10 minutes. Including 8 minutes of wombling, that gives us about 3 vague indictions of new things.

BelleSausage · 10/05/2020 16:34

@PenOrPencil

I can attest that this 100% will happen and it will be Yr10 boys. Our school had to have portaloos for almost two terms because of urgent building work on the fabric of the main school building. A total nightmare.

Rosieposy4 · 10/05/2020 16:39

Checking in comrades, though definitely not foolish enough to hope for a clean mug, I keep mine hidden in my lab ( and hope my line manager doesn’t spot it. Welcome Hedyprism I bet you are feeling anxious.

Piggywaspushed · 10/05/2020 16:42

FFS , another 'this is not a school bashing ' school bashing thread ahs started. 5 posts before someone asked what teachers are actually doing. We need to stop patiently answering these questions.

I guess the ones complaining about no marking must be the same ones who complain about no marking in normal times...but the ones complaining about no phone calls to their DCs bewilder me.

Asuitablecat · 10/05/2020 16:46

Feeling v proud of myself cos I've skimmed over all the the school threads today.

RigaBalsam · 10/05/2020 16:47

We need to stop patiently answering these questions.

We should all go for the same stock answer and repeat it.

Appuskidu · 10/05/2020 16:48

This isn’t tonight’s roadmap, is it?!

The Fourth Republic Rises - solidarity comrades!
PenOrPencil · 10/05/2020 16:48

@BelleSausage I can do even better than that and narrow the culprits down to 3 boys in my Year 10 form Grin

Asuitablecat · 10/05/2020 16:52

Aren't we on 4 at the moment but they want to move to 3? N west is on.the up.

RigaBalsam · 10/05/2020 16:56

What time do you think the 50 page document be released?

Piggywaspushed · 10/05/2020 16:56

We did riga with the flowers and were told off.

WhyNotMe40 · 10/05/2020 16:56

No mention of schools in that, is there?

Piggywaspushed · 10/05/2020 16:57

Little factoid, confirmed form another thread : in Sweden over 16s aren't in school. This in interesting, given the push to get year 12s back.

Piggywaspushed · 10/05/2020 16:57

is

RigaBalsam · 10/05/2020 16:58

I know but maybe if we did it in words.

You are right though probably still be told off.

Piggywaspushed · 10/05/2020 17:00

The Torygraph is still sticking to 1 June for primaries.

Asuitablecat · 10/05/2020 17:00

We could take a line from.Wayne's world and stick.on.each thread, . Prefaced by an.apology:

We're sorry; we're not worthy.

Stick it on every tb thread. Back away.

Piggywaspushed · 10/05/2020 17:02

That roadmap uses the word 'vulnerable' which has been shown to be confusing and suggests they cannot leave home until there is a vaccine...

StaffAssociationRepresentative · 10/05/2020 17:09

I like the tent thread because it has made me laugh. Oi Miss - are you doing a poo?
