mistress - I think it was a TA talking about working one week on and one off as that was what their school was making them do. Ie. they were in school full time taking care of kw kids full time one week and out of work the next week.

Other schools have made them fill their 'not at school' time with training or modifying work set by teachers for sen kids for example. By the sounds of it on mn some schools have furloughed their TAs (maybe just private schools? not sure).

I may be wrong but I remember noting the misunderstanding when it occurred but not getting round to commenting and the TA in question didn't repost and correct for whatever reason. Maybe this is her week on in school on pro rata minimum wage ie. less than minimum wage because it's not like she can take another job for six weeks in the summer when she's likely got her own kids to look after hence being willing to work for 9k a year.

So, yep, now we have had an email about year 10 and 12 being back June 1st 'in some form' and also about using a different online learning platform.

Please tell me Adonis hasn't got his way and filmed lessons are going to be the expectation

WHO has been working a week on week off basis? I haven't heard any teacher mention that?

Tiny village primary schools with hardly any pupils, week on week off for the staff looking after key workers children. Work is being done in the 'week off' but nowhere near full time work.

Thanks Appu, one thing that rarely seems to get mentioned is that school is possibly working ok at the moment as far as I can tell it's usually around 3-4 children per group, which I note is roughly what Denmark and others have done, perhaps up to 5-7.

Also, staff are on a rota, which looks different everywhere where but does mean if they get symptoms there's cover and "breaks" from the group which will help to stop infection in the current set up.

15 and all staff in is a different kettle of fish. We will need a huge number of extra school staff too imo. Loads of consultants and even hospital based psychologists (I know one) were redeployed from their roles to be available on the wards, even if just doing basic nursing tasks such as bed pans etc.

Apart from huge amounts or reorganisation and ppe, schools will need more staff and either more space or children are part time.

All my lessons and form of gone online - I have two screens on the go and I have my gaming headset on. Work has been set and assessed. Reports writing. Online extra curricular done. I have been working and so will not be working during the school holidays - peeps cant have it both ways

They could, in theory, present us with Time Owed, betty, minus the CPD done at home. Support staff, not teachers.

I sometimes look to see what is being said about us but there are so many at the moment there is no pleasure or support in it so if I get neither of these why be on mumsnet?
